Google search didn't give out anything so I have to assume there isn't a thread for this yet. Seeing how I see this title popping up here and there bringing my attention to it I guess it might have enough viewers on this forum to have some discussion? Also I didn't want to offtopic hijack the SAO thread anymore for this although I'm not sure if anyone cares about that.
Well anyway seeing how it's often described as SAO x Y times better I was a bit reserved about giving it any attention. But given that there's been enough people giving it a heads up that didn't seem to enjoy SAO I jumped in since I have too much free time right now.
So I guess I almost caught up and got to the part with the council(ep9).
Have to be frank but I kind of thought the start was extremely boring. That whole mission with them saving that druid girl that was a real drag to sit through. I was almost ready to drop it since it didn't seem to be my thing but then the guy decided to make his own guild and since I'm no stranger to MMOs that's kind of always cool moment. Also it introduces the option of "who's going to join?" which I think is a concept people enjoy in general(judging by the next crewmate thread) especially when the potential recruits are fun characters.
And hey it got more interesting after that. I wouldn't say it's the best thing ever but it's fun enough. What I currently enjoy the most in the series is that heist like feeling when the main guy sets his next big plan into motion to make something happen in that world as a whole.
The pacing is very teasing with what next step of the heist it reveals to the point that I can see people calling it really slow but it kind of works for me.
