This. I love One Piece and I love the Funimation dub but I'd be OK with a few months of resting… and use that time to buy some other One Piece stuff lol.

I'd rather it didn't stop, but if it did, I could live with about four months or so off. Especially since this ends a major arc and we already have brook dubbed on the film. I just can't stand the waiting in the middle of arcs, which is why I ration the episodes on each set and usually don't finish them until shipping confirmation of the next.

We should also be glad that when Season Six starts up, we delve right into Thriller Bark and get to hear more of Brook. Ice Hunters arc wasn't the best filler so I wont be in much of a rush for the last voyage.
Brooks dialogue in Strong World was great, but he didn't have as many lines as I would have liked. They really did great with casting him.

Initially stated as @FAQ:
When Season 5 was announced, it appears as though the official text press release from FUNimation included an announcement of "Season 6" and "Film Z" and was very specific about the episodes in that season, indicating it would end at the end of the Impel Down arc
but as there's been no "post official" announcement since then, this count may/may not change once they make a Season 6 announcement official but at least you have an idea.
Hopefully 2014 will bring greatness
I'll be a "minimalist" and for this year my OP hopes will be for 1 new movie release and Season 6 Part 1 (and of course the continued/growing success of the TV showings) …. annnd for song licenses to no longer give them any more issues? Possibly? Maybe? ... that's probably asking for to much right there

My set now says "Reserved for your Order" and hasn't yet shipped. Are you sure your one has shipped? I know 7 other people that all have ordered this same set through RightStuf and all of their ones only say "Reserved". I believe MasterKingJC's set also says "Reserved" but hasn't shipped as well. So I am a little confused why your one has shipped but no one else's has.

Nah. Mine shipped out on the 3rd, and it's in my town today. Won't get it till monday. Far, far too busy for clips and lack the proper software and knowledge for it. Awesome, you're pretty lucky then. I wonder how many others got their set shipped the same day. If you are able to when you get it, a picture of the set / disc artwork and or back cover would be great. :happy:

Mine shipped out on the 3rd as well and should arrive on Monday. However, I was counting on it coming in earlier in the break so I had it sent to home (winter break and all). I will try to have my brother snap a few pictures of the box set itself if Zephray isn't able to, but clips would have to wait until the weekend when I have time to go back home and get them.

Rightstuf's site also isn't updated in real time. It's usually only updated once a day, and I'm not even sure if that includes weekends (non-business days)…anyone know?
So it is entirely possible that it has, in fact, shipped out, even if it doesn't say so.

I was thinking the same thing, though after checking my account I found I haven't been charged for it either. So It most likely hasn't shipped for me yet.

Watching season 5 voyage 2. Really upset they weren't able to dub the we are strawhats remix, oh well. I watched the first few minuted of the Luffy recap and it seemed to actually continue the plot, do I need to watch all of the recaps to get the full story or do they recap everything on the first canon episode after the recaps?

You don't need to watch the recaps, but don't skip the shorts at the end of them!

Coby's voice is way deeper. I like it, but it doesn't sound like his old voice one bit. Helmeppo's sounds older, but similar. Garp's was great as usual. Weird to see all the worldbuilding finally happening in the dub,

As far as my opinion goes, I was disappointed with Toei's handling of the Coby Helmeppo return. They threw in cropped flashbacks after every character was brought back or old ones (Shanks, Dragon) were mentioned. Some of the recapping lasted for a few minutes, too. It really broke up all the plot twists happening at once and negatively impacted the experience.

From your point of view zephray, I can certainly see where you are coming from, but if I might go to Toei's defense on this, think about how long it would have been since we last saw Coby and helmeppo from the perspective of original air dates….it could be measured in years. That's not the case with us here in the US. Even less so for those who didn't start out getting the DVDs the moment they were released.
So such flashbacks may not have been wholly unjustified, in order to give people a reminder of just who these characters are.

It's not anything new really, why is this instance any different from the other times that it's happened?
This was way more often and for longer stretches. It happened at least five times in one episode for at least a few minutes each. Not only that, but the aspect ratio was the original 4:3, so it felt even more abrasive. And it broke up a series of plot twists, which don't happen simultaneously very often. Point: It was worse than usual this time. Worse than usual when compared with previous dub episodes, not compared with the current sub.

I suppose I do owe it to all the glimpses other members have provided to do this. Haha. Alright; I put the disc in to see what it was, but only watched a minute of it. It's actually 22 minutes! Much longer than the interviews! You basically get to see the whole process of recording an episode. There's a camera where she's recording and it often cuts away to Colleen or Mike describing the recording process and their perspectives on how to best do it. Great inside look, from what I can see. We get to see her actually recording some of the lines. She moves a bit to get Luffy's energy out; reading the title card is about as far as I got.
