@MetaMario:
Hmm. This might sound dumb, but maybe you don't feel challenged enough by your classes?
@No:
Sorry to hear that mate. I always found it hard to keep attention in class myself, but that was more because of the way we were taught things.
This is certainly the case with one of the classes. I have very little respect for the professor and the way she teaches, on top of which, I'm already fairly proficient in the subject. That's even more frustrating in itself because it's all group work and presentation from literally what's already on the book, so my work load and grade won't be any better than someone that doesn't know anything and just barfs up exactly what's on the page.
Anyway, that would be the case if not that the second class is taught by my favorite professor, is taught well, entertaining even, is completely new to me and is the most difficult class in my degree plan. This professor's teaching just clicks with me, I've taken 4 classes with him so far and I can see that the problem is on my end, that I should be grasping the concepts, without much difficulty, but they're just not sticking with me completely any more.
Maybe you need a break, unwind by doing something unusual and, pardon the corny phrasing, "bold and exciting".
@Print:
Second the idea that it might be good to take a break if you can. Then come back to it with a different perspective? I find that kind of mindsets can be very difficult to get out when you're surrounded by the thing causing them.
Probably a good idea. I only worry that if I step away too far, I'll slip behind and have to return for another semester of wasting money. But I guess at this rate, it might happen anyway. I'll see what I can do. Thanks everyone.
