I'm getting some heavy Castlevania vibes off of this. Really, the whole things sounds like a video game battle theme. Was Goblin an inspiration for the composers? I wouldn't doubt it.

I love you all.

Me neither. Goblin was pretty big in horror film circles for their work on Profondo Rosso and Suspiria. Their influence and fandom spreads to strange places. Hell, nowadays, a lot of their appearances are at metal horror festivals like Phil Anselmo's Housecore, which featured them on the setlist with bands like Eyehategod and Pig Destroyer.
-
I actually forgot that Justice sampled them a while a back till just now. I'd say that's having a fandom in a strange place. Also, if there's anything to learn from anime and manga, it's that the Japanese LOVE foreign music. Jojo's probably the prime example of that, considering they used a Yes song as an ending theme. Speaking of which…
If it wasn't obvious from many of my prior posts, I really like progressive rock.

Let it be known here and now: Just because I'm a Christian, that doesn't mean I have a stick up my ass about it~! I can still hear a man say that "Jesus could turn sugar into cocaine" () and laugh without thinking it's in bad taste.

Listening to Throbbing Gristle - 20 Jazz Funk Greats. Trying to wrap my head around what industrial music actually is. Right now it just sounds like normal electronic music to me, but I've listened to like industrial metal which is related in some way but I don't hear any similarities. Isn't Coil also industrial? They sound completely different.
Edit: It's getting kind of darker and weirder now but it still doesn't sound like I expected it to sound from the descriptions I read.

Industrial had a big impact on electronica which there is some overlap. I think it would be fair to call it co-influence, though, since I'm pretty sure industrial was inspired by the OG electronica guys responsible for the precursor experimental stuff like musique concréte. Still, the rhythmic qualities of industrial music were adapted into electronica through the techno scene.
The band that embodies industrial in my mind is Einstürzende Neubauten. They really went out and used industrial equipment and sound to make their music.
Their earlier, more abrasive stuff is pure unadulterated industrial

As they grew, their music moved from more punky and experimental to composed and is more recognizable as an influence to the electronic scene.

Later, they started listening to more John Cage and also mellowed out a whole lot, but that didn't dull their songwriting. 2000's Silence is Sexy is one of their- if not their- best albums and takes influence from throughout their career to make something incredible.

If you want albums, I say start with Haus Der Lüge and Silence is Sexy, then look into Kollaps if you can stand something a bit harsher.Sorry for the long post, I just dig my industrial, haha.

I would, conventionalist that I am, say "start with "½ Mensch"". The music video to that album is fantastic.
-
Listening through their whole channel right now, sadly all covers
their original songs seem a bit harder to find.
Something about their enthusiasm is just the right medicine for me right now. -

That's where I would go next. I think Haus and Silence are much easier to digest.
I've never actually seen the full movie with it. Welp, my life now has a mission.

Мельница - Дороги (Melnitsa - Dorogi)
I think this may be my new favorite song of theirs. I just found out that there were two albums by them I hadn't listened to and found them.
