Look at the way he talks to King: "Long time no see, Harlequin, oh you go now by King right?" As if he would have known King before he joined the sins. So, could he be a rival fairy from previous times?

Nah, probably it was King who took his eye before becoming king.

Maybe the reason it needs more concentration is because it makes him better at fighting? That doesn't make much sense, but it's possible.

So I'm a bit iffy about that wound he received in his transformed form. Could be all just a ruse of him to get information which he couldn't get from geera and jericho earlier.

Another question is, if King's smaller form is difficult for him to maintain, then why is it the entire Seven Sins group only knew him in his 'human' form? Did something change in that time to make it harder for him to transform? Did he always exhaust himself back then just for appearances?

I think he said himself that he didn't use it in a while so he wasn't as practiced anymore.
Also I always thought that at least Meliodas knew his true form, as he comments on how "his clothes" are back when King transforms.

I wouldn't count her dead yet, remember the doctor that was the father of the girl in that prison that got stabbed from behind and was supposedly dead?

! I don't think we ever got an explanation for why, I still guess it has something to do with either meliodas or a third party that still needs to be introduced. So same thing could happen here.

Nothing surprising this chapter, the burning question I have is that Meliodas just crippled Geera. The series didn't shy away from brutality of that degree when Ban was the recipient. Just have to wonder if she'll regenerate her arm somehow(some power of another holy knight). Or if this is a wound to stay.

^her arm should stay the way it is. In fact, I expect her to experience even harsher treatment in the chapters to come.

But being reminded of the doctor, I'm not sure what to think of Veronica's death anymore. I do want her to stay dead to add a little drama to the story, but then again, her character wasn't developed enough imo to make her death have impact. And I'm sure she'll be needed once the gang attacks/reaches the castle and meets up with the royal family.

Pretty sure the healing stuff is Elizabeth's doing. She was crying over each person who was "miraculously" cured, while other characters like villains died as they should have. Basically he isn't afraid to kill people off like Oda, so that's not why he's avoiding it with the non-villains, and given they've been after Elizabeth explicitly since the start of the story, I'd say her healing power is why they want her. To revive the demon clan.

The author does have some of Oda's fear in that regard. On Kongou Banchou coming back from certain death was a given to all the main characters and the antiheroes. Only the really bad guys stayed properly dead.

I've never read Banchou, so thanks for the info. Mainly the comparison to Oda was death in particular, but yeah it's not far off it he refuses to kill off the main cast. The issue I have is when people SHOULD die but don't; I can get behind the main characters not dying so long as they have a difficult time at their cause and aren't given death-like scenarios. It cheapens the narrative and the drama when you treat death that way. If you are going to kill someone off or bring them close to death, do it purposefully and rarely, and if it's the former then stick to it and don't backpedal.

Interesting theory. I have been wondering why Meliodas and that doctor who tried to poison Meliodas's wounds were miraculously cured and, in the same arc, Elizabeth's wound wasn't. Now, we see Eli crying over the Doctors wound, but not over Meliodas wound. Tho that could happen off panel, both wounds were treated by her. That didn't happen with Eli's wounds. So that could explain this apparent little plot hole.

Now, if iirc, the first holly knight Eli and Meliodas met back in the first arc, tried to kill Eli. So, still not sure about what you say.

Oh wow that didn't enter my mind at all and I know this may sound overly harsh but I kind of put her away in the useless damsel in distress(and I know she stepped up a few times in terms of courage but yeah…) folder.
It sounds pretty plausible and may or may not make her more interesting(depending on what is done with her).

I wonder how Meliodas Sword play into Hendrick plans the more I stare at it the more it looks key like to me but I'm probably just seeing things after staring so long.

The crying wasn't important, the point was she was really concerned about the person who was hurt.

The sword has something to do with his sin which involves Danafor, and she's from Danafor, so I'm guessing that's what connects the two.

So not a big issue on that theory.

Oh OK, I understand you now. Yeah, I was specifically referring to Hendrickson's plan, so of course the order to bring her back alive wouldn't reveal the hidden agenda. Like you said, when he was brought before Hendrickson later he was bagged and didn't know what was going on, so their true plan was kept a secret from him.

I admit, the half demon thing is pretty cliched, but this manga follows a lot of other shounen tropes anyway.
