In my opinion Midora's ability is not at all camouflage. GT Robos disappear and appears without any sort of light while Midora was surrounded by a brilliant white light, especially when he appeared and disappeared in front of Ichiryuu (and behind Niceny) at Bishokukai's headquarter.

Both are becoming transparent (the lines are being cut, that's not a light) and same sound effects.

I continue to think Midora is able to telport himself. GT Robos camouflage looks clearly different to me, I don't know how but they look different. And speaking of GT Robos, well, it could be they can hide the operator's presence too but Midora…I don't think, stating that he's one of the three strongest people in the world. In fact Niceny is shocked by his presence only when he arrived/appeared from nothing.
I don't think either the soup was stolen by Alfaro's hands with the tongue, but it was teleported.

Found the author cited, but his work's in Japanese I also couldn't find works that cite his work or this book.
Closest I got was trying to read up on Brownian Particles and Stochastic Modeling, but nothing that describes the situation going on in this chapter. I think the dumbest thing is how much time I spent trying to look up the "real-world" background given later on in the chapter Midora does…well you know if you've seen the pages.
And I do wanna take a break from posting here each week, but trying to look up the "logic" in the chapter had me interested. Plus I have mostly nice things to say about the chapter too.
! Like it's been said, really glad Midora has a freaky ability, or at least less generic.
! And yeah, freaking thorns growing from your tongue. I originally thought they'd just go for a lizard/frog thing for Midora but thorns? This isn't a complaint by the way, the tongue is cool.
! Guessing two more chapters. Ichiryuu is going to have his final comeback/moment next chapter, but then Midora will ultimately show off why he's the best in the end two chapters from now. Anyway, like I said before this and the last chapter were supposed to create big hype around Ichiryuu. And that's it! He seems to have the upper hand, since the beginning (although Midora is fighting without moving an inch). The way I understand it, it's basically a manipulation of laws of probability - on a physics scale of atomic level.
In other words, what was originally thought as the Scarlet Witch's ability. Pretty freakin' OP.
A set certain amount of minority of atoms always behave in a way different from the majority.

! I found it ironic how Ichiryuu chastised Midora for his "bad manners" after licking his chopsticks and then used attacks whose namesakes all denote poor chopstick etiquette.
Does anyone else enjoy seeing the attacks of the different chef? I really like how they are themed around their different cooking styles like Pipi's Angel Yeast: Hidden Room technique or Wabutora's Oilfield Deep Fry attack.

Speaking of the chefs, was I the only one who had the impression Anyo Jr. and Yuu of the Bishokukai knew each other? Not just their looks, Yuu used salt to attack while Anyo responded with sugar themed abilities.
Wouldn't they have reacted to each other? Yuu saying "damn you Anyo" or something like that after neutralizing his attack, just some kind of hint from the author except superficial stuff like a pretty boy design and using seasoning for fighting?
unless it turns out be some plot relevant reveal that's worth hiding, but I doubt that Yuu and Anyo will have such an important role later on
I got that same impression as well. Yuu's attack was like a mist that was blocked perfectly by Anyo Jr.'s sugar curtain technique. The only reaction that was shown was that Yuu seemed surprised his attack was blocked. I don't know if that really means anything though.
It was hard waiting for the chapter this week, but it was worth it. I expected Midora's attacks to be kinda generic, this is a pleasant surprise :) , loving Ichiryuu's style too.
You gotta love those splashes.
Anyway, seeing Midora is in deep shit right now it would be a perfect chance to move on and get a glimpse of the other ongoing fights.

I support that headcanon! It actually makes a lot of sense.
And as I expected the whole "minority world" confused me a little bit but I think I understand it now.

I think Midora's ability fits him in a werid sort of way. It seems to be that most members of the Bishokukai have really odd abilities, for example like Tommyrod's bugs and Bogie Woods excessive amount of bones.
Midora's basic attack is disgusting. It's like he is shitting a colon or some kind of worm from his mouth. And loads of spiky sausages…eurgh. I'm waiting for his serious business tricks.
And I too think there is someting about Anyo Jr and Yuu. Back then in their spicy moment I thought the same - that they may even be brothers, or at least related by country of origin due to spices and hairstyle. Shimabukuro is not that repetetive and plants hints cleverly.
And even if he were, even he would notice their similarities after having both of them on the same scene. This was undoubtely on purpose, so I am certain there is something going on in there.

Poor octotigre, but yeah i now these guys are in the top food chain but seeing the animal with biggest power capture being reduced to nothing like that worries me about that captures levels will mean nothing from here out.(though thinking better they already mean nothing).

Well, I like this. But I think that Yuu could be the first son and Anyo the second. Usually it's the second son, the younger one, who is spoiled. Maybe Anyo wasn't spoiled but was the favourite one and Yuu grew with grudges against him and became a Bishokukai.
About the chapter, I think Midora is faking with his "errors". Somehow I think he's mocking Ichiryuu and later on he will beat him badly. I'm still convinced Ichiryuu could really die this time.
In my opinion Midora developed some kind of power different from the atom based one of Ichiryuu and stronger than that.
The powers of those two are really on another scale with anyone, I think Jirou too.
Dunno. Stopping the world with a punch without warming up and even shouting is a glimpse of pretty wild stuff. And he's supposed to be of insane power that was sealed with techique. Who knows what else he can knock. Being known as killing master Jirou before taking those tazers is also significant.
I'm interested in how these falling 'spices' and Midoras metaphor about his appetite with hatred spice are connected. This something seems to be his main fighting style, like sound or poison. One of the nicest parts of Toriko is how these metaphors on food related things are connected to fight styles and abilities.

Yeah, Jirou is one of the three strongest characters alive, so he, Ichiryuu and Midora are on a different scale with anyone else, but I think Jirou is "quite" weaker than the other two, maybe because he grew old. Ok, Jirou's Surprise Apple level is 92, Ichryuu's 95, so they couldn't really be that different, but my feelings are these.
You know what I really like in this Manga? That the Mangaka is not busy with letting everyone have 'cool-looking' abilities. Like sharingan or shit like that. He isn't scared to let his characters have scary or disgusting abilities. Which turns out to be totally cool btw.

Well Area, being honest I would be between freaked out and disgusted if someone licked me with such large, slimy tongue.
On the other hand, I'm already rubbing my hands thinking about what Kuromado, Alfaro and co. may show.
