Terrible work from Funimation during this whole arc….I'm tired of this.

Excuse me, but in your opinion, what was so terrible about Funimation's work during this whole arc?

The fact that I enjoyed the manga a lot but found the anime version of Punk hazard so boring is enough any manga reader knows that this is so slow paced, the design is funny sometimes…Some things don't look right and it looks like a late 90's animation not 2013's...The animation of Sabo's arc was good, fishman island was alright but this arc is awful in the anime..

I think it's more reasonable to wait for the anime arc to actually end before judging it like it was something that finished a year ago.
Then again, I just finished commenting on a guy who thought this episode was one of the best since the timeskip, so opinions around here are as varied and aromatic as bubbling sphincters in June.

You do realize though that Funimation isn`t in any way responsible for producing the anime, yes?

As usually, a small handful of complainers have absolutely no idea what they're talking about.

I like how you just ignored my post. Let me make it clearer.
FUNIMATION DOES NOT MAKE THE ANIME. TOEI DOES.
Jeez… People need to get their damn facts straight. The only thing you can knock Funimation on is either the subbing or the issue with the opening (which may be Toei anyway for the latter), but you're bitching about the anime while pinning the blame on FUNi.

FUNimation is bad at subbing and they still use we go.

a) To be fair, the subs from the stream have to be made quickly for an episode that's put up a mere hour after it's aired in Japan. Plus Toei forces them to use certain terms specificially for the stream.
b) They're still using We Go because of licensing problems.

They don't get the episode after it airs though. I remember someone saying that they get it days in advance. The Toei choices are unavoidable, but sometimes I see grammatical errors that wouldn't exist with a little more quality check.
I don't really complain about it though, since it's free.

Yeah, I've spotted a fair error or two. Could use more review at times.

Exactly.

Still love this arc, though. Best arc in a while. The anime has been extremely slow paced and inconsistent in quality. Too bad they can't just stick to the same director or two for a while.
-
Just watched this episode. I have to disagree with you guys. Some of it was a little dragged out (smiley getting set on fire), but the episode moved along well enough for the most part. It wasn't as good as the last one, no, but it wasn't bad by any standards. Especially considering the fishmen episodes and early Punk Hazard.
Maybe it's too soon to hope, but it appears as if the anime's quality is on the rise.

C) We Go! is far better than the new shitty opening

D) This point is slightly negated by it having been used for so ungodly long though. Also Hody Jones. I am so tired of Toei constantly reminding me of Hody Jones. (Of course, I don't watch the simulcast and so We Go's continuing presence there does not affect me… But they also persist in reminding us of the "fierce battle" that the Straw Hats fought on Fishman Island.)

But it was pretty fierce, bra. Luffy almost died from blood loss. An easy fight would have been Luffy vs. Bellamy. Luffy vs. Hody was relatively difficult for him.
