Did anyone noticed that Akainu has a mustache now in the New World?
One Piece: Kaizoku Musou 2 (PS3 and PSVita)

Stuck on 3-4, I've cleared all the fodder and KO'd Robin 3-4 times. The gates won't open for some reason. Could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong here?
-
That took me 30 minutes too. You need to go to Perona in the lower right corner. Then she'll run and open the door to Usopp
-
@RobbyBevard:
So the game has terrible pacing, lousy filler sequences and 8 minutes of recap at the start of every level?
lol filler for filler.

yeah I got stuck there too, took me like 40 minutes before I went down to where Perona was, fun times
-
Are the new 100 yen packs in the Playstation Store new challenge maps?
-
I just beat the game and unlocked all characters so now I think I'm gonna try online. Add Yababegrabb if you wanna play co-op.
-
Has anyone unlocked the Garp/Marco cutscene from 2-4? That's the only cutscene I have left and I can't seem to activate it.
-

16 chars of thanks, I could've sworn that I searched through the entire map
-
As with the last DLC you can get a free costume, this time it's Zoro's samurai outfit from KM1
-
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how do I unlock the final act? Too lazy to go through the thread.

See the normal ending first. Then complete the partner episodes for all the playable characters plus Hannyabal, Magellan, Jozu and Vista. That will unlock Whitebeard's partner episode. Beat Whitebeard and then you should get a message about a new mission in Pirate Log 4-2. In 4-2 after Teach takes control of Whitebeard don't beat him. Instead lead Ace, Luffy and Marco to him and they will break Teach's control. After that just beat the stage and you will have unlocked the final act.
-
'sup guys?
I got a little bored lately and managed to find the first Musou game for a decent price. After playing it for a few hours, I just came to make sure that this second game does not have any QTE or pointless swinging from pole to pole. It's just musou through and through, right? And how's the camera settings? Better than the first one's?

I can't remember if anything was wrong with the camera in the first one. But yeah, there's zero QTE's, just musou.
-
Hey guys, I know it's been a long time coming, but if anyone was curious about the Vita version, GLG will do a quick stream (just 1 stage) of it in a few mins
-
Will the vita version be released in the US?

I'd say yes but it's largely because IMO the stages are much bigger so the camera has more room to pan around. So that's on the plus side for this game.
However this game Also has about 5 more BIG characters who encompass more of the screen and thus give the camera a harder time to get a good angle on them. For example in the first game while playing Enies lobby with Sanji the camera would get wonky in corners whereas here I never noticed a problem with any small characters but when I use kuma sometimes I'll get stuck viewing things from behind a wall if I stand to close.
It's absolutely nothing game breaking just don't get caught in corners with any big characters
Now that that's done I want to say I just beat this game today with the aid of a friend of mine and OMG it was a blast. Can't wait to play some more with Sanji, buggy, Marco and crocodile. I loved the storyline of this game and it was Interesting seeing some characters in new locals and Moria is a Total badass in this game so that's even better. The best part though?
The friend I was playing with doesn't watch the show and his reactions to the things the characters did (Robins giant legs, Kuma's Ursa Shock, Aokiji just generally being epic, and Kizaru bouncing around the stage) were pure good. And explaining the characters and story details to him as we progressed and seeing how much he ate up and enjoyed every minute of zaniness and OP goodness just warmed my heart to be honest. This game, just from today and the last week I spent with it were worth every penny. -
-
Well that sucks, is there any reason why it won't be released?
Not that I know of except that Namco is cutting corners. If they were to go all out when it's westernized, then the game would of have an English dub as well. Though I would LOVE to play One Piece portable anytime.
-
So I got the treasure box of one and ripped that OST asap, has anyone been as kind as to do that for this one? I'd love the favour returning haha.
-
Got mine today finally. Although might have to wait till birthday in a few days anyways. If nobody has done it I'll be happy to try and see if I can get the 'book' thing scanned along with the music ripped
-
_I'm still on 1-2
Smoker is a beast.Anyway.
How to get the Silver G-5 coin in Punk Huzard? (Second Stage)
I killed all the strawhats in Hard Mode but nothing happened. Lol_ -
I'm actually referring the coin not the trophy.. I'm hving hard time getting the 'meat' coin.. Arghhhh feeling irritated.. Anyone got any idea how to get it??
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Bronze 'meat coin'
Hey I just got a silver meat coin, idk if u have that one but I figured is tell u anyway in case it helps. I did the skyped is stage using Sanji on hard mode and I got both the secret coins during the stage, S rank on everything, beat it in 5-6 minutes and took no damage. U can try that I guess.

Once you've had a chance to settle into the game, it'd be great to have some online co-op.
If anyone is online now I'd keen for some Pirates 1 or 2. Fenberry24 on PSN if anyone hasn't added me yet
-
I'm online for co-op right now
-
I finally got my game after a while of waiting, I'll be online after i finish the story mode wanna unlock Kizaru
On another note they finally released the teaser for J-Stars Victory Vs
-
Does anyone know if the PSVita and PS3 version has separate trophy lists?

This thread hasn't been getting very much attention these past couple of days, any of you still playing KM2?

The game is confirmed for the west

Yes but I haven't played at all this week so I haven't had anything to say. Next week I should be less busy and can get some playtime in. I'm a little disappointed in zoro though. Mihawk is just so much better than him it's a shame
-
I have no idea. I thought it wasn't
It got confirmed like a few weeks after it was announced. Ign are just slow

Really?? What disappointed you with Zoro I thought he was really overpowered in the game..
-
Still no rip? Pfft, last time I ever rip on release date.
-
Yeah I tried to tell yuo that I wouldn't be able to rip until I had mine for a few days but your PM box was full. got it now so will get to work ripping once I played a bit of it.
So yeah. Finally got mine given for my birthday. Treasure box is nice. Not as good as the first one since I liked the artbook in that and the flip books is kinda lacking. I wouldn't have minded the OP skin on my PS3 but not a huge fan of the cover of the game (although it pisses all over Constipated Ace.) personally I like the cover of the CD more. Aint bothered downloading Z Luffy yet. Not that interested in more Luffy costumes.
Game itself is ok from what I played thus far. Only played the first three levels. Went out of my way to kill Franky on the 2nd level and then he came back for third. So I'm gonna try him out. Luffy is….Luffy. To be honest he feels no different the first game and because you were forced to play as him through the whole thing I had more than enough of him. Nami is waaaaay overpowered at the start of the game lol. But it's nice that she's playable from the start unlike last time where you had to unlock all sorts for her.
Not a fan of how the block button seems to have been dropped in this. They coulda at least relocated it to the L1 or L2 buttons which seem....pointless?
So how do I change which char I want to have as support? And also equip the coins? I unlocked Nami, Luffy and Franky emblems so assuming that got auto-equpped. But can't seem to find a way to mix and match like in the first.
Also the alt hairstyles for Franky etc. I assumed it was similar to Robin's hat in the first where it was a button but seems not?

_For Franky just hold Select few seconds.
For Support , first you have to clear the stage to unlock them. In the Partner Log.
Anyway before the Mission starts, is the first Menu. You have 4 options.
1 Equip Coins
2 Equip Power Up etc.
3 Chose Support
4 Level Up_ -
So I beat the game through both endings now i wanna venture online, whoever wishes to do co-op hit me up: Jonasan0079

Awesome. Could you please add me? Fenberry24 on the psn.

I've been busy clocking Tomb Raider and God of War Ascension but am looking to play KM2 all week. Would be fun to co-op with others if anyone will be online….
-
I've played enough to form an opinion on it. And to be honest….I'm kinda mixed. I'm glad they got rid of the QTE stages. But a lot of the new stages just feel so lifeless. Thriller Bark one was awesome the first time but I honestly never really felt like I'm in those places. Btw. Was the Magellan with Hannybal's face picture on in the first one? Or is it just Magellan? Nice little thing there.
Most of the new characters are nice enough. Smoker is fun...Marco the Pointless....he's different. He's annoying to actually kill what you wanna kill. But aside from that is fine. Perhona once you figure out how to use her Negative thing she's good. Franky is improved. Robin....is pretty much exactly the same. And seems to be lacking some of her moves from Fishman Island annoyingly. Brook is much better too. Hancock, Jinbe and Ace are pretty much unchanged I think.
Chopper. Do these game developers hate him or something? Brain, Kung-Fu and Horn. Ridiculous. I'm assuming they are expecting people to think he's new enough so it don't matter. Then when they update the moves in PW3 they can be like OMG! He's new again! But really it just shows me that these devs are falling in the same holes again.
I think another problem is the latter levels are basically you running back and forth between your allies to heal them (because they're useless) and you searching the entire map for health. It's nice that coins are in chests as well as treasure but I'd much prefer the health.
I liked the combo attacks a bit more. Especially between the Mugiwara since a lot of them feel more natural.
Story is nice and different. Although I kinda wish the crew were used more than they were plot wise. Instead of just showing up and you unlock them then. (only exceptions being Robin and Zoro) and I already get the feeling that this is all gonna revolve around WB and co in the end anyways. Law'll probably fix everything or some bullcrap.
But yeah. It's nice enough and is basically what PW1 should have been.

@RobbyBevard:
So you mean the manga.
The anime has little to do with it.
Quoted this last post of yours to get your attention.
What I'm eager to read and what I think I haven't seen yet in this thread- at least not completely- is your opinion on this second musou installment. Your words saved me some money on the first game since I didn't buy it at full price and I'd like to hear them again before paying 60€ for the second. Or is it too early for you to judge since I recall having read that you didn't import KM2?
And if you're wondering why I didn't contact you personally- the thread's been inactive for a week and I'm sure many other users would profit from our musou guru's take on the game. -

And if you're wondering why I didn't contact you personally- the thread's been inactive for a week and I'm sure many other users would profit from our musou guru's take on the game.Though I did enjoy the first KM quite a bit, KM2 is above and beyond better. Gone are the annoying QTE which were only really okay the first time and then a chore for the rest of the time. It is nice that the story mode allows you to choose almost anyone you have unlocked to be used (unless the character is an enemy or NPC). I find the nakama strike very interesting as a number of characters refer to each other when tagging in and tagging out. All the strawhats have their 1 line of dialogue with each other etc.
Graphically its more impressive with Akainu standing out with big lava plumes filling the screen. The coin system is brilliant.
I find Blackbeard with both powers really overpowered. You can completely destroy most stages with him. Both special attacks he has can take out 60-100+ enemies. Very fun to wreck armies of enemies with him.
Some characters like Chopper are a bit difficult to use and he feels rather underpowered.
Otherwise, even at full price, the amount of content to unlock and grind through is very impressive. I'm really loving it!!

I didn't import part 2, and I'm probably going to skip it entirely. It sounds like it's fixed many of the problems the first one had, (Namely it dropped the QTE's and gave everyone something to do, and tweaked partner strikes, and fixed some of the strawhats) but I don't care much for most of the characters in the expanded roster. It's all warlords and logias, which I'm sure are flashy and overpowered and all, but… eh. Looking at the list all the support characters are the ones I want to play.
Personally, I'm just going to hold out for part 3 (You know it's coming next spring) which will add another 15 or so characters, so when I get that, between the part 2 and 3 rosters it'll be like 30 new characters. But I've played a lot of musou games over the years, so I'm probably more the exception here. It sounds like a good game that's much improved over the first, so if you want it, go for it... though we know the english release is only a couple months away.
That said, I'll probably break when the English release hits and goes on sale. But I'm not spending 60 bucks on it, let alone 100 for the import again.
-
-
A whole promotion video dedicated to a figure worth 15 bucks at best with the intent to sell it for double the price- classy.
-
Is that the Scultures Luffy? In which yeah it's worth 15 bucks. if it's that one that came with Nami, Chopper etc then it's probably worth about 5 lol
