@NER:
How would you feel about it if its already explained, if the only reason he can cover body in flames is simply because he hated his TS training too much?
I would kind of be fine with it. People point out that Sanji didn't have "A Master" equal to Zoro/ Luffy for the time-skip. That's debatable; but anyway my point with 99 masters + Iva maybe not equal their master's "worth?", but there seems to be 1 thing that Oda set up to counter that. Zolo was fighting a swordsman, while grueling, and tough, that was probably 'Zoro's some personal version of swordsman heaven', Luffy was basically a much higher level of what he went thru with his Gramps in his childhood; point being that they probably loved their training and were cool with their "trainers". On the other hand It was like Oda had the perfect mix of gag + extremely serious training for Sanji, just to break the pattern of the others. Sanji has always tended to be outraged/ + protecting people at the same time. Sanji's training actually was something that went against his very nature as himself, seems to push it beyond the 'outraged/ + protecting people at the same time' power barrier, and at the same time slightly elevated his 'attitude' towards/ while fighting. It makes sense IMHO, at least close to 75- 80%, that his having to train in a way where he practically hates everything about it might also elevate the results as well.
@MiyamotoMusashi:
Am i the only one who thinks that the original anime of Arlong Park was way better than the special?
I mean look at this
Yeah, preferred that too especially that final kick. It was just 1 kick instead of many; It was like his leg "bullet kicked/ shot" the fishman into the AP building. Enjoyed how much more devastating it looked in the original.
@NER:
**I see where you're coming from, completely logical stuff.
But you need to seriously consider that he probably have something else that is so different than DJ up hidden, and he never got a chance to show it.**
Agreed.
@KiShiDo:
Well most likely? But what? An other element? Would be even more bad… There is only haki and stronger kicks + long range maybe (where i bet fire will be included) now...
Sanji just have fire and even in the first fodder fight used something as Hells Memories... If he does this already I can see him using even more ridiculous fire attacks later on... even in movie Z he used Metoer Strike while burning up in Sexy Fire before.
So far no matter what Sanji has elevated his 'fire/ flame' attacks, long distance doesn't seem like what he wants to give "Sanji's fire/ flames" "long range maybe (where i bet fire will be included) now… , so I think that's a bit of a leap.
(underlined - Which still should technically be canon)
@KiShiDo:
That's why I said… Oda will improve it and with the time we will get used to... but it for sure will take away the uniqueness of the Mera Mera... That's why I said... It would be like someone will be able to stretch without fruit, become a animal without one... But if we stay at logias... Can you see someone suddenly using a hotter carian of Hells Memories or even doing magma attacks ala Akainu. Would be dumb as well
I don't quite get this reasoning though. The very things you want Sanji to get from the fruit, Oda seems to distinctly not have given them to these "artificial flames" of Sanji. Why then add the fruit to make that former, + established separation of abilities 'guideline limitations', then useless? 1 could ask what I'm talking about?
"Sanji's fire/ Flames" don't make him intangible, pretty much only attack his opponent, can seemingly spread across his enemies body, but nowhere else such as property, it doesn't seem to 'affect things' except adding extra something to Sanji's kick, (not necessarily heat/ flame, but I suppose "extra emphasis" might best describe it), also his "fire/ flames" don't really (not sure the best term for it so I'll go with:), ' exude/ fire / launch fire long distance like Ace's former fruit; thus not really acting as "real fire" like the mera mera fruit would.
Well there is the long arm tribe, the snake sisters, Bellamy, they all seem to have an aspect of Luffy's stretchiness, w/o his fruit. And there are examples of others as well for stretching, and other aspects of fruits that aren't from specific fruits like Brook's ice, and yes Zoro's eternal seeking dragon twister(?). Don't see why "Sanji's fire/ flames" seem to stand out so much to people?
@beck26:
radical beam, impact wolf, monster chopper's parmesse something, blizzard cut, hell memories….i think those are their strongest (if not one of their strongest) attacks.
even rengoku onigiri looks like a 99 notch higher onigiri. and luffy used elephant gatling, red hawk.
maybe they have other attacks, but i can assume (i may be wrong) that these are their strongest attacks.
@Sander:
I somehow doubt that they really bothered to pull their top moves against the foes they were having a field day against.
Eh…
Nah...
Nuff Said.
Still hoping some1 else, ( at the last minute, if it's really even there), from some other vying forces, takes the fruit as it would mean the SH's don't just get their way, (as they've seem to be doing lately), adding the new dimension of a situation, so much better than Caribou, bound to carry importance; and stretch possibly underlying within multiple arcs.
