@Стрелок:
Okay, did you read my previous posts? I already explained:
- Even if 3 admirals are enough to keep the balance somehow, if the Marines want to conquer the New World, much stronger forces are needed.
- There is no reason to believe that Sakazuki who appears to be much more agressive commander will keep the same number of admirals.
- Jimbei said that the Marines are much stronger than before.
Frankly, this whole debate comes across as a bit off-topic to me, but what the bamboo, it's what's going on, so I'll pitch in.
Giving you the benefit of the doubt that you're arguing sincerely here, Comrade Strelok, I see two major issues. First, to a large extent, I think you and the people taking the other side are just arguing past each other. To wit, you seem to be arguing from a purely in-story perspective, while they are mostly arguing from a meta, story-telling perspective. In large part, I don't think either of you are bothering to address the other's points, but just ignoring them in favor of making more of your own, which is a horrible basis for argument that will lead nowhere.
Second of all, your argument honestly seems to lack a bit of cohesion. I mean, in this quoted post, you're pretty clearly arguing for there being more than 3 admirals now. However, in an earlier post, you claimed the ridiculousness of "two VAs suddenly gaining admiral level strength", as if to imply that there were clearly fewer than 3 now. I suppose this is fair if your stance is simply 'there are not currently exactly 3 admirals', but again, that sort of stance – 'I don't know what's true, but I know what you say definitely isn't, so there!' -- does not make a very good basis to argue from.
In my opinion, it comes down to this. From a story perspective, you do raise some decent points (and some not so decent points, but I'll leave that aside for now). Certainly, I would say it's possible that there are currently more than 3 admirals, or even possibly less, although I find that not nearly as likely.
However, I don't believe there's any strong evidence to show that either of these options are the case, and with that in mind, looking at things from the level of viewing One Piece as a story that is being crafted, I think the fair assumption to work on, for now, barring further evidence, is that the number of admirals remains at three.
