@Galaxy:
http://onepiece.animelag.com/ No episode on the 10th of March either.
Whut?
I've never heard of the anime taking breaks this frequently.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
To be honest you're one of the very very few people I constantly see posting positives in this thread.
I tend to post negatives from time to time, but I try not to focus on them too much unless they become an issue.

Loved this episode.
Best part was Smoker ringing the doorbell a hundred times. xD
-
The past couple episodes have been pretty slow but they were in the manga too so can't complain too much…
-
An alright episode. Animation bugged me when one of the Marines was pointing past another standing next to him but his hand looks like it's in front of that guys face even though they were pretty much shoulder to shoulder and it should have been behind him. Smoker's pause on confirming whether the air was actually okay felt too long too. Could have maybe had a different shot to make it less blah.
I did like Smoker Oga planting his soldiers though and Brook's antics. I also liked that bit of Usopp and Zoro interaction.

Oh god yeah I noticed that bit also… it hurt my mind.

I enjoyed how they animated the Marine Ship, also the sequence where G-5 jumped off the ship. Though my favorite shot was of Law walking calmly, it really gave a feel for his character.
Felt it was one of those episodes that would have been boring to watch if it had bad art. Usually the secondary characters would look pretty boring or crappy, but these were spot on.

This episode was definitely an improvement over the last episode, but only by so much. The comedy was really good this episode as I actually had some true "lol moments". I loved the part of Usopp trying to reason w/ Brownbead and the centaurs by calling Zoro dumb and subsequently getting him pissed off, leading to Usopp screaming for his life. XD Brook fighting the torso was kinda "meh" in terms of animation execution, but the performance by Brook's VA is what made this part of the episode shine. Him being scared while trying to throw in bits of toughness were great on his part…just wished the choreography could've been better. Franky and Sanji vs. Hazmat guys was also kinda "okay"...the "oomph" for the attacks were there, but we were given the whole "Franky shoots during a panning shot while everyone is reacting to being shot at the same time" and Sanji keeps kicking "too-dumb-to-move-Hazmat-guys" in a succession of relatively slow kicks. Smoker's part was just..."ugh". I've never been a Smoker fan, and having the show waste almost 30 seconds of him standing, and taking a big breath and blowing smoke to check the air is not helping me like him. Law's reveal at the end (while spoiled by that extra scene of him talking to "Master"), was still well done and captured that "Oh yeah!" moment.
Overall, while the art and animation was iffy in this episode, the content is what, overall, saved it. On a whole, I'd give this episode a 6/10. Better than the last episode, but only by a little. -
I'm not gonna lie. This episode, and especially the last episode, felt so SLOW that it was hard to enjoy them. Maybe I'm finally starting to change my standards, because I've sat through many a slow episode in the past (the worst being the resurrection of Oars by far), and I never felt annoyed by it. Maybe it's because I know Punk Hazard is a great arc and there are things coming up that I REALLY want to see, so spending an episode on Brook fighting a torso and Smoker breaking icebergs is not my cup of tea. And the last episode, while having sweet moments, was dragged on so badly during that scene with the kids.
The worst thing this week was when we sat and stared at Smoker breathing the air for about 40 seconds or so. If you're going to do that to us, at least have some kind of animation in the background. A still shot for 40 seconds is annoying.
That said, the new music for our gasey new villain as well as the ending in this episode for Law was definitely a good treat in spite of the slowness.

That also got a laugh out of me. He's just so nonchalant about it, too.

15 seconds, not 40.
I know because I counted.

Did anybody find it weird that Tashigi didnt mention Kuma as one of the shichibukai? I'm sure in the manga in mentions him as still being an active shichibukai
-
Terribly delayed response, but this was a great episode (just rewatched)
Particularly I am very happy with the way they are treating G5. They're fun to watch, good voices, and it's easy to really sympathize with them, which I am sure will make later episodes that much more meaningful.
Also, I frankly am enjoying the slower pace at this point. Rather now than later
! so that we don't get endless sequences of people running from gas

Tashigi doesn't even have dialogue in that scene. Toei just dumbs it down because they think their audience is made up of goldfish who don't know what or who the Warlords are. As for why Kuma was left out, it's CLEARLY because the other three (now four) are desu uguu fodder while he's the only ugly duckling of the bunch. Discrimination at its best.
Kuma's already been confirmed as retaining his Warlord status by Oda.

She used examples, just because she didn't say Kuma, it doesn't mean he's not with them anymore. She doesn't need to mention every single Shichibukai.

It felt like 40, though. Just saying.

You have to remember that for anime viewers they must always treat each episode as if there's a new viewer who knows little to nothing about the series. With the manga, there's always a recap before in the magazine, and most reading the manga have been doing so from the start.

anime watchers Spoilers
! I wonder if Toei is gonna make Tashigi a lot longer against Law for obvious pacing extension. I guess I would say that for once the anime did something better than the manga
-

It will happen. Though unlike Marineford, they'll be able to cheat more convincingly by just adding longer corridors for the looping running animation.

You could argue that same basis for anything, really. There's always gonna be new people watching/reading.
And while I do understand that a cartoon on TV is gonna draw more diverse crowds than a serialized manga, Toei does like to dumb it down. And quite often. The whole "goldfish treatment" is nothing new from them. -
Huh, and here I thought AP was down for a week. Guess it was just me.
Anyway, a very enjoyable episode. Brook and G5 were all riots. Loved Smoker's cigars and doorbell ringing.
As for the Law reveal, it did it's job. I feel like showing him talking to Caesar killed it a bit. Simply using his voice and maybe a silhouette would have been sufficient without spoiling.

Smoker is such a Tsundere with his crew

Smoker is such a Tsundere with everyone.
Fixed due to Arabasta and a few other occasions.
