Tenryubito = Celestial Dragon
Wow, I see. But do we already know if the members of Gorosei or/and their children are celestial dragons? Sorry for my ignorance.

At this point, we do not know anything about the Gorosei

Except that they're old and hate Historians.

Then, there is a false premise in this reasoning:
Apart from that, I would find it weird if Doflamingo decided to leave his birthright as a celestial dragon behind only to act as a government dog years later. Simply doesn't make sense to me.
Because the theory that Doflamingo is a son of one of the Gorosei members, doesn't imply that he is a celestial dragon. Q.E.D. :-)
Wasn't it Mocha?
Unlikely. The paper came from inside the room Caesar, Monet and Vergo were. Mocha is bigger than an elephant. How would nobody notice her?
But I don't think that a "celestial dragon" can't follow an order of his hypothetic father, even if they think of themselves too highly.
Not to mention that the expression 'government dog' is not a canonic expresion of the manga. I'm not sure about the expression 'celestial dragon'. Do we already know that the sons of the Gorosei are celestial dragons, and what is a celestial dragon? If so, I would like to read the chapters about it.
Actually that is where it began, in ch. 155 - unless there is proof that was a mistranslation. In Crocodile's intro (as far as first time we fully see him), he stopped some lowlevel pirates and their captain called him a "government dog"=

Then, there is a false premise in this reasoning:
Not really, my reply was mainly directed at Tenchu. My fault for not quoting him/her in the first place.
@Tenchu:
doflamingo is a celestial dragon, he provably is the son of the most powerful celestial dragon family, i said this a long time ago.
However, Doflamingo being the son of the Gorosei with the glasses makes no sense to me as well. We don't know much about them, but they are still at the top of the government. The highest authority we know of (yet). Having one of them as your father can't be such a bad thing. At least he should be able to afford clothes that are not completely fucked up.
But the question that really bothers me, again: Why would he throw away his priviledged heritage only to work as government dog years later? Why would he strike deals with the very government he turned his back on?
I think it is too early to rule anything out, but I still go with the theory that he was a simple outcast who dreamed to reach the top. Being able to pull the strings despite his poor origin. He is basically the Anti-Tenryubito.
Except that they're old and hate Historians.
Well, we can say that they were at least "remorseful" about what happened on Ohara + they were actually calm and collected enough to actually have a dialogue with Clover which can not be said about any other antagonists in OP, even if it ended in a massacre.
What if Doflamingo's plan is to control all the Artificial Zoan Users? Just like Momonosuke suddenly sees his face and gets dizzy..
Thank you guys. There should be a thanks buttom here, to thank all comment that helps to read.
A flash of genius… Bepo is a bear who ate a human human smile...

That doesn't explain other animals that can walk & talk, like the black cat on Hawkins crew

This has been my suspicion… What better way to overthrow a Yonkō?

Doubt it. He doesn't look like a human and seems to be the same type as the lion of Big mom.

They're both most likely Minkmen.
@Foxy:

That's what I think, Bepo, Pekoms and that unnamed cat on Hawkins crew. That makes three that are animals that walk and talk like human but are not human.
Man this Colourspread really did it for me :)
I was afraid that due to Luffy stubbornness the StrawHearts alliance might not be wokring out, but this colourpsread should confirm that it will go through either way XD
I love how the Hearts pirate colour schemes went inside out which no one has commented on before… pre-time skip they had orange jumpsuit with black Heart Pirate logos, now it's Black with orange logos... like that change, pretty neat :)
I'm thinking Akainu has more then just a mushy... it really looks like one of those goatee connected with mushy beards... Me likee :)
Kinda bummed that Ussop doesn't have his Matured Kabuto in the colourspread... wuda made it even more perfect... I thought Kazztar would have said something first, guess not :p too slow yo
I kinda imagined Momo with the Shenlong colour scheme, what with Oda being sucha fan and all... but Oda know what he's doing, and even though I liked the green idea more, I'm sure this'll looks good in due time, or have a reason
Kaido top left for me really did it for me.... he reminded me alot of BB crew mate Jesus Burgees cos of the mask looking thing and the way he looks like he's shouting like him as well...
The only real striking part about the chapter for me was the end really... the way Flamingo talked to Monet actually made me kinda sad... it sounded like he really cared for her and was genuinely sorry.... though it could all have been a act like, I don't see that much loyalty from Monet if he was just the typical Puppet master type villain... his history is definitely a huge point in all this...
I doubt Vergo is dead from the gas... if the Armament Haki protected Luffys hand, I'm sure Vergo just covered himself in it to protect himself for now...
I can't wait for next weeks chapter XD how does Oda always have me excited like this every week? Ain't normal man
That doesn't explain other animals that can walk & talk, like the black cat on Hawkins crew
He's a man who ate a bear bear smile. That's why he doesn't change back and forth.
Ok what if Dragon is Jack? I mean chater 432 the name of that chapter was "Jack in the Box" and it was when Dragon was revealed to be Luffys father. Lol you never know Oda.

same thinking for me.

There's no "Jack" in the title of 432. That's an English translation of a "surprise box".
Thank you triple C

Ooops- thanks for clearing that out.
Who's most durable:
BROWNBEARD VS CAESAR?
Probably Brownbeard?
And yet again thanks for the great job, C3.
Well Ceaser is probably made of something weaker then Brownbeards determination… like Paper Mache... or Radditz.

Low blow man, low blow..What'd Radditz ever do to you? Huh?

Is anyone else gonna re-read Punk Hazard over the break? I'm probably going to start after 694 surfaces next week(ish)

It's a TFS reference from Dragonball Z Abridged.
Ohhh I will, I will! :D I definitely want to re-read it all without having to stop after every chapter and waiting a week. Might just real ALL of One Piece again.
So..redon posted this in the anime section, but it's good news over here as well.
Ryūsei Nakao (Freeza) will voice Caesar Clown. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=4668 _(Just scroll down to One Piece)
I can't wait to hear his "Shurorororo"..!_ @Lorce:
Ahh! I've only seen bits and pieces of that..

I already re-read the chapter 3 4 times. …just looked for certain panels the 5th now that I got some links from you and Nolus, I plan to go re-read from the begining!

I've been meaning to do that. It's been a while.. I took a break back in September and re-read everything before catching up to "A Woman Like Ice"..
I really hope some very kind scanlation group decide to redo all the volumes.
@nodensuke:
Nice. I took a break back in September and re-read it twice before catching up to "Mastermind"..
Like I said, I'm gonna do it again once 694 comes out to make the wait a little easier.
Yeah its always amusing what one may have missed the first time…or things that connect with later chapters, like Arlong Park.
Then there are simple trivia that's always fun. I've been thinking and notice something (but always present) things don't have answers.
Several SHs have an item they wear all the time, most is explained where they got it from=
Luffy & his strawhat = left in his care by Shanks
Nami & her gold bracelet = gift from her sister, Nojiko
Chopper & his pink tophat= gift from his father figure & 1st mentor= Dr Hilulik
There are two that we don't know where they came from=
Zoro & his green harmaki - he still wears that 'waistband' under that big robe/coat
Usopp & his single blue/white striped armband - We see in a flashback he was wearing it when he was 12.
They both wear that paticular item of theirs, we are left thinking its a single item ...or that they a dozen of the same style and color!
What I want to know is why? I don't care if its something simple like a gift, what's the story behind it that makes them keep wearing it?

There are quite a few things I'd like some answers to as well. I have them written down somewhere but I'm too lazy to look for them right now..
Did we ever get anything about Zoro's three earrings or bandana?

No we haven't. Anytime you find the list, I'd like to see it..you can pm me if you want to share it
If I'm not mistaken Zoro uses 3 earrings because he uses 3 swords

It could be, but its not something Oda's stated. Its fan speculation. Just like we (well many of us) specualate that Usopp's first flag is an image given to him from his mom or dad when he was a kid because we see same image on the bandana he wore when his mom died. It could be just a generic image on a bandana he picked up…but we prefer to think its something given to him by one of his parents.

Always thought the earrings were for fashion.
^ you're likely right, earrigns are just for fashion….and for jokes about Zoro having a fettish of the #3

Are we certain that isn't just a with a cat mask on?
Are we certain that isn't just a with a cat mask on?
Yes, I'm tryign to find the page/episode, but at one point he says 'captain' and his mouth moves. Oda clearly gives Hawkin Pirates a magician/mystical theme, and a black cat fits into that.
I found some pics that shows the catman's face and mouth in different postiosn, sowing expression. Everytime Oda shows masks, they are solid and don't change expression (Usopp's eyes popping out of the Sogeking mask is an exception) so its not a mask.
I knew I'd hear some people (you're not the only one) ask if its a mask after the anime messed up at one point and showed his ankles with pink skin but its same anime that had given Shanks two arms, Crocodile two hands, and even in one scene had two Zoros. So the anime is not something to go on.
So ignore the ankles but look at the facial expression=
I haven't been on here for two months due to my computer breaking. I've missed this place so much.~

Does he talk is the manga as well? I remember him just standing there.. So maybe it's just anime thing. (Cat has different eyes from other two "minkmen". That's another reason why I don't think they're related)

The eyes don't have to be identical. Not all fishmen or mermaids have same qualities.
And yes the cat talks in the manga. its in ch 581…very bottom of page the spech bubble is clearly that of the catman

He is so small, I can't see whether he opens his mouth or not.
I'm not arguing though, and you're most likely right.
But eyes are important.
Bepo and Pekoms have same eyes (and latter has a zoan) so they're crearly related (minkmen or "smilies", doesn't matter)
Cat's eyes are different. He can be just a zoan who simply prefers being in a cat form.

That's not usually how Zoans work. Think of Lucci. In his halfway form, the top half of his face was feline, but the bottom half of his face was still humanoid. It was only when he went full-on leopard that his entire head was feline.

Or he is a cat with Human Zoan. But that's a stretch.
This cat is weird. He can really be anything.
I just don't think he is the talking animal.
The thing is, your trying to use the anime to prove your point as well.. which is a contradictory.

Chopper got it already.
