Yeah but they were all men lol.
You're thinking of Sanji. Brook was sent to the island with the long arm tribe. The regular humans there worshipped him as Satan. I'm sure girls threw panties at him during fabled concerts as well.

so i guess whole cake island is very near because pekoms & tamago have time to watch CC or are they watching from a ship?

The broker's HQ where they are spectating is not on Cake Island. Also, Pekoms and Tamago aren't on Whole Cake Island because they just left FIshmen Island. If they did reach FI Big Mam would have opened that explosive box already

Brokers HQ? They're all watching in random locations throughout the New World.
Also, Pekoms and Tamago are probably on their ship/on some random island. All they'd need it a video den den mushi.
Great chapter with a lot of little but interesting details.
Regarding Lucci, first, that person behind the curly one imho doesn't look like Blueno at all, second, why would a person who has gone into hiding try to inform the world about anything, third, Blueno doesn't wear a bow tie.
However, that fellow's figure in the background does look familiar although I don't know whether it's even a OP character I am trying to remember.
@Kizuchan:
Why would Lucci have made a 360 in character thanks to his defeat to Luffy?(…)
Because anything is possible in OP. Also, you probably meant a 180.
If Baby 5 is able to recover CC and escape I wonder what Law's reaction will be. At least that would be a chance to reveal a bit more about his reasons and intentions and finally it'll be interesting to see how the pirates are going to part with the marines.

Oops. I need to pay more attention to details
Speaking of brokers and snails, the Moria-like broker apparently has a mustache, judging by his video snail.
Franky's laser should be able to blow up Buffalo 5
Uh, is that not the whole point of "turmoil in the world" and "ripples of history"?
Did you completely disregard Law's speech from last week?Shit's hitting the can bro, buckle up. Storms-a-comin'
Yeah but i don't see who benefits from that if it takes all 7 to take down one. I could see the Kid Alliance and the Law Alliance going after separate targets but if it takes all 7 to beat one thats too many chefs trying to take credit for one dish to really mean anything against the other Yonkou or the Navy. Once they go their seperate ways they'll be just as vulnerable as before.

Each one probably thinks they have a shot at filling the gap left by the Yonkō. Well, except Killer and Zoro.
They can't possibly think that if they know they need to work together to take one down.

Benefit?
Your dick is a foot longer in the pirate world, and one less (big) obstacle to Pirate King.
Benefit?

Whose dick? Because not a single one of them did it on their own, it took 7 of them. So yeah maybe if they take all their dicks and line them up then it looks like a pretty big dick but once they're back out on their own then it's just average again(nothing wrong with average). So they don't get clout or bragging rights, the group does and as long as they stay a group then they keep that power, but individually it does nothing for them except remove one of the Yonkou which is cool and all but again, they better hope the other 6 are right behind them when they go to take on the inevitable Yonkou that will be coming for them or this new ramped up Navy that Akainu has been putting together.
Dude, a single Yonkou frightens the hell out of the entire Marine force.
In fact, it takes all the elites of the elites of the marine force to take down a single one, and two is too much for anyone to handle.
Seven rookies taking down a Yonkou and its entire force IS a bragging right.
I think you underestimate Yonkou waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much.
It would put an alliance of seven rookies on level playing field with the Marines ffs.
i am confused why do you guys keep mentioning the alliance of 7 rookies? they are 8 if you exclude Bonney last time i checked (Kid, Drake, Law, Luffy, Hawkins, Apoo, Urouge, Capone) am i missing something?
Yeah but the alliance is the key to all of that. Without the alliance they're no longer on the playing field and thats my point. If the SNs are the ones who will inherit the NW, if they really are the next generation, then 7 of them VS 1 is overkill. It makes them look extremely weak when they're not in an Alliance. I would rather see them split up and take down seperate Yonkou because if they really are the tidal wave etc then that would make them all seem indivually much more of a threat and from there they could build up their forces to put them on the same level that the Yonkou are at now.
EDIT:
i forget to mention that as of now Law is currently 1/7 of a force capable of taking on the Marines by being a member of the Shichibukia.
@ Haros They`re talking about the two alliances that formed so far which include seven supernovae.
(Luffy, Zorro &Law and Apoo&Kidd, Killer &Hawkings)

Kid, Killer, Apoo and Hawkins + Luffy, Zoro and Law.

again with the number 7? WHY 7?
You should really stop looking at it that way. Look at it from a different point of view they are all new crews(2+years) so if Oda had 1 crew (SH for example) take out a Yonkou by themselves at this point then there is no more space for improvement and the rest of the fights will be boring also since you will know Luffy is a Yonkou level. Taking out just a Shichibukai wouldnt change that since they already took out 2 so going with an alliance is a nice way to play it out.
Edit Ty for the answer Don Quichotte de flamigo but still the alliance of 5 crews would be more accurate imo :(

Because the Yonko are just that easy to take down, aren't they:getlost:.
The yonko are not just extremly powerful, they have their own allies as well.
So, its not like its 1 vs the seven, they have a lot of manpower as well.
It was revealed that one of the yonko has an army of zoan df users.
It doesn't matter if it makes the SN look weak, cause they are weak(individually against the yonko). You think if it would be that easy to take one of them down, the marines would not have done it already ?? The SHs only has 9 members, and not all of them are ridiculously strong. Its impossible for them to take on a Yonko by themselves.
Well… I'm convinced enough by the silhouette, anyway.
Not that it matters, though, because of course his name doesn't actually appear ;P
I know, it just made me laugh!
Question:
Is Buffalo's speech quirk "Dasuyan" like Neptune's "Jamon"??
Assuming it is, I can't wait to hear it in the anime.
i am confused why do you guys keep mentioning the alliance of 7 rookies? they are 8 if you exclude Bonney last time i checked (Kid, Drake, Law, Luffy, Hawkins, Apoo, Urouge, Capone) am i missing something?
Pretty sure they mean Kid, Apoo, Hawkins, & Killer +Law, Luffy, & Zoro.
Sent from my LG-MS770 using Tapatalk 2
Yup. Pretty much like jamon. Old-man-speech often ends in "jya," so Neptune just tacks on the mon. "Dasu" is pretty close to the normal "desu," but Buffalo changes the e to a and adds a yan. It might be rooted in some regional dialect or something, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to be sure.
It's a combination of Akita dialect and Kansai.
You normally wouldn't say both in any situation, so it's a made-up accent. In the same vein as -jamon which is a combo of -ja (elderly) and -damon (childish)
Too bad that we can't have a poll for that, just to see who was right or wrong. In about 100 chapters or so.

Lol thanks for clearing that up, I was under the assumption Neptune said Jamon as in the french word for ham/bacon
After reading god knows how many posts of, Whining sound with drums and dramatic speech "Kinemon got petrified now everyone will get saved and ODA will let us down cause we expect someone to die" I really don´t know what to say. Please guys don´t count your chickens before they hatch.
Up until this chapter we have only seen that Kinemon got petrified and Brook managed to carry him out of the poisonous cloud. We are forgetting 2 basic aspects of Shinokuni.
1. Shinokuni´s way of killing is through poisoning, the longer that you´re exposed to it the slimmer the chance you have to survive.
2. The Ash cover is only a mechanism that CC deviced for shinokuni so that its targets couldn´t move. Thus allowing the poisoning to be carried out smoothly.
A lot of people HAVE DIED by Shinokuni. It would be a bit Illogical to think otherwise after almost an hour. of the WMD being released. I´m not even counting smiley but please remember that the poisonous axolotl slime took care of a numerous ammount of characters already.
Yes, the ash petrification is likely to be reversable which in turn would be the reason to why kinemon will probably get saved. On the other hand the rest of people affected by the gas will die from it. Shinokuni is not going to dissipate into thin air in an hour or two nor I see the marines and Strawhats combing the Island to search for whoever is missing. IN order to survive all of them need to get out of the island.
Buffalo could play a part in taking care of the rest of Shinokuni, but he only cleared an area and I assume is temporarily.
So please someone being carried out of Shinokuni is not the same to Oh NO now everyone will live.

I'm in with 10 bucks. Plus another 10 on it being Sabo (insert crazy Sabo theory that totally makes that scenario plausible).
btw here's the chapter

"The others won't be cured cause the longer they were shinokuni'd, the less likely they would live through the poisoning"
Yeah, that right and it makes a lot of sense!
Hmm…........how long has it been from when they were poisoned by Shinokuni till now?
Well, since we never see the sun set.......and never see them sleeping or even eating anything....
Not even a day has passed since they have even arrived on the island.
So time doesn't even make a difference in the one piece verse unless it is pointed out to having a meaning to it now does it?
I don't mind everyone being cured, since after all, its Chopper. Chopper curing it =/= anybody can cure it.
Its just as Chopper says, while "there is no cure for any disease in the world", Chopper himself is "the cure to any disease in the world"
I hope they die this is the new world , the danger feeling will just vanish in the rest of the story ,because we will know that no one can die in one piece.

no one seems to reminds Kinemon is a special DF user, we don't know yet the range of his power (well he seems to be a shapes shifter)… I'm pretty sure he will use it and find a trick to somehow protect himself from the inside...
What if the WG summons the Shichibukai right now and Dofla and Law would meet there? Shit would be interesting as fuck right now…

Assuming they'd even bother to appear. Can't really see DD leaving his place in such troublesome times.
That's why I said WHAT IF
Don't worry Kishido, you'll have your "meeting" soon enough. :P

Good point! The fact that CC had adjusted Shinokuni to better the results slipped my mind. Makes you wonder how thick that ash/whatever actually is (depending on how long you're exposed to it), it seemed to just crack and crumble off Luffy's armament hardening.
I'd laugh if Zoro just taps Kinemon's head with his sword and it all crumbles off with him gasping.
If Luffy was able to dispose of CC that easily, I think it would be fair to think Zoro couldve done to same thing to him. That just makes me wonder how strong the rest of the crew is relative to the New world Pirates… Franky might have the chance to just Zap Baby 5 and Buffalo before they land on PH, although I do doubt this for plot purposes

If there would be a joined effort resulting in Kinemon surviving it would be superb story-writing. From the inside, kinemon protects himself from direct skin contact via his DF ability. From the outside, chopper finds the form to disolve away the "ash crust" .
To be honest what intrigues me the most is how brook managed to recover Kinemons Body without ending a statue himself. It seems that the Ash crust is only suppose to react to skin, muscles, sweat or even water. If water is the prerequisite Brook won
t suffer from the petrification as hes pretty dried up already. Now that I think about it, I haven
t seen non living objects being covered by the ash so there must be a key substance that triggers the petrification. On the other hand maybe brook used a new technique to send the gas back a couple of meters so that he could rescue Kinemon`s-san body.
Great chapter…..I liked everything about it, but the highlight of this chapter for me was ussop and his new kabuto. I also like that with one piece, other people are elaborated on, and not just the strawhats...I been seeing alot of hate on luffy recently because this arc gears more towards law. I dont see how anyone can think that luffy is looking like comic relief because of law...
Just read the chapter, is there any info on who this Jack person is?
Wow, I can't believe I managed to read all 30 pages of comments -.- most of them are either about the Lucci like silhouette or Kinemon surviving, making nobody die… some even go out of their way talking about Kaido being the Yonkou or Buffalo 5 as next Nakama... then there's the few positive comments about Usopps new Matured Kabuto and Chopper being able to heal Kinemon because it's Chopper.
Well my thoughts on all this really:
I would like to believe that shady person is Lucci, and with how Oda plays with his characters, it's highly likely :)
I like the idea of either only Kinemon surviving due to only being recently effected or thanks to his devil fruit... either way, he won't just die so easily
I highly doubt Kaido is Jack, though I did like the idea someone put out about the deck of cards, with Joker and Jack being both part of it.... but it could just be a coincidence and Jack is just a new character soon to be seen. It doesn't fit well with me for him to be Kaido, it would just be too much intel at once, what with Smiles and Flamingo and what not...
Grizzly Magnum sounds pretty cool, but a magnum sounds kinda weaker then bazooka :/ I have no complaints about it, and I realised that besides Luffys Armament attacks being named after real guns, they all have animal references .. Elephant, Hawk now Grizzly... sounds interesting, maybe due to him training with dangerous animals on the island for 2 years....
Baby 5 sure is a interesting character, but for the comedy effect, I can see her first 'No' going to Sanji XD cos Sanji is just that unlucky
Loving Usopps scene.... even if it was off screen, it's nice seeing him able to take down fodder all confident now. It just gets you more excited about his results of the 2 years of harsh training.
Loved both the Jump cover and the Colourspread! I lol'd at the Jump Covers 'Got Milk?' kinda reference and noticed Chopper with that Cow costume and milk hanging from his neck. Kinda wanted to see Usopp and Franky shirtless too to show off all their abs and all :p I actually imagined having secretly put Cola in his milk bottle :p
The colourspread was just amazing! And to think Oda does this all by hands, no Photoshop needed... jheeeze! I love all of the SH outfits here, they should go from Sanjis recipe book to Caimie and Papagu clothing shop with those kinda outfits in store... I mean really! Usopp always has his swag on in these colourspreads, but this time I really liked Zoro, Luffy and Frankys shirts... Nami and Robins dresses look really nice as well design-wise. Also noticed some SH having numbers on their clothes, Chopper 8 (with a 8 in his hand), Franky 10 (while fixing the 10 on the clock), Sanji 3:00 (that's probably just the pun with his name as Aohige I think mentioned) and Usopp with 24 (probably meaning he was doing all 24 numbers on the clock or something)
Over all, 10/10 for this weeks release!

Great point! He seems to have tanooki powers similar to "Super Mario Bros 3" or that Ghibli movie "Pom Poko." Maybe he can turn himself into a stone statue and was merely coated in the waxy ash from the gas. That would make the "No One Ever Dies" fans happy.
My Big question. If Kinemon got hit, how did Brook manage to avoid getting hit and still be able to grab Kinemon to escape. Soul Powers?
Maybe it doesn't affect Brook because he doesn't breathe? The gas seems to not effect the environment and only living creatures.
I hope the marines stay dead and i have the same question , brook had to get near unless the poison has to contact skin , and brook is already dead so, and luffy coa nullified the poison it seems .
Maybe Brook has armor haki too.
He would look like one of the Castlevania's red skeletons with it.

If I remember corectly the gas needs to come in contact with your skin to make you a statue.

He breathes since he was affects by sleeping gas.
