@Kaze:
What gets me flustered are all the nfl analysts saying , "Oh, the Texans will make it to the playoffs, not because of there fast start or great talent, but because of thier weak schedule." How is our schedule weak?????????? O-o
Well, they drew the AFC West, which is fairly weak, and the rest of their division other than them is fairly weak. And that covers 10 of the 16 games, so it's not like the argument is totally groundless. Of course, they also drew the NFC North, which is no joke.
But strength of schedule in the NFL is greatly overrated. Nobody really knows how good a lot of teams are before the season starts, and there are very few teams that don't have enough talent to win on any given sunday.
@killerbee1000:
So…....did Jay Cutler and Aaron Rodgers switch bodies tonight along with their teams olines?
I hate to say this, but the Packers offensive line is not good, and hasn't been good. Rodgers has been sacked more than even Cutler since 2009 (only Roethlisberger has been sacked more than those two). You just don't notice it as much because he's so good at evading the pass rush and either running or throwing after he does so. But the beating he takes make us look sideways at Bears fans who use oline play as an excuse for Cutler.
Packer nation has had serious concerns about the tackles ever since Clifton and Tauscher retired two years ago. We were led to believe that at least Bulaga would be fine on the right, but he's been getting torched this year as much as anyone. They're just getting downright whipped tonight up front. Packer fans just generally believe that the coaching staff is good enough to get the protection fixed before too long, but this game is sure to start getting people anxious about it.
As you guys know, I'm a Packer fan and have them winning the Super Bowl this year, yet I also had them losing tonight. I didn't have them getting shut out and giving up 7 or 8 sacks in the first half though. I have little doubt they'll fix this and turn it around by the end of the year, but damn if I'm not starting to worry about Rodgers's health.
