Also they have to have unlockable characters. Games where there's nothing to unlock lose more replay family than those that have unlockables

There will be alot to unlock it seems. Belts, Icons, Minions, Intros, Backings, Outros, Taunts and Costumes.
And Ty could become DLC.

I sadly don't think its anywhere on the PSN at the moment. Its not a platformer BTW, but a pretty fun little action game. Its structured a bit like medievil, only you learn kung-fu techniques from your foes along the way.

Saw some YouTube video's - game looks like fun.
And a modded PSP is able to run pretty much any PS1 title.

DLC is a possibility. Still i'd rather have characters to unlock than backings, icons, etc. I think there's more incentive behind it

Give him an Aku Aku mask, the Crash 2 jetpack and the Crash 3 Bazooka and we're good.

Oh god, Tai Fu. That's hands down one of my favorite games of all time. Fun gameplay, fun story … Hopefully it lands on the psn at some point, I'd love to play it again.

And yes, Tai would fit like a glove. So many moves they could draw from ... I especially loved the monkey style moves. DAMN IT, NOW I WANT HIM!

If the Loco meets SotC stage truly is in this,
chances of this game getting Wanderer as a playable character have risen considerably.

Also the creator of Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee would like to see Abe in this game.
Could make for a really interesting character. Taking over another player for a super could be fun.
It's nice to see more developers interested in this game.

I really hope Kat is in this.
Paul mentioned this game would have 3 female characters.
So she could be third one, and that would lower the odds of us getting Lightning for FF rep.
There are way better Final Fantasy characters they could choose from.

Completely forgot about her. I played most Tomb Raider games on the PC.
She would make an awesome story rival for Nathan Drake.

It's kind of weird to consider these games retro now … I still think of 8-bit and arcade when I hear retro, not Playstation ...

I played so many random playstation games back in the day, some I feel I liked rightfully, others I'm not so sure now. The ones I recall playing the most are:

Tai Fu. Awesome stuff.
Jersey Devil. Have good memories from it but for some reason it was torn to shreds by critics for controls and graphics. I had no trouble though ...
Roll Away/Kula World. Fantastic puzzle game, loved it to death. Sadly, it's not on PSN in the US.
Guardian's Crusade. A good RPG with shiny graphics, nice style, and a fun system involving collection of toys.
Ape Escape.
Pac-Man World. I don't recall why, but I really really enjoyed the first of this series. The rest were meh, but the first one I enjoyed a lot.

It'd be fun to go back and see how good my taste was when younger, but with some games it's just not possible. Maybe one day ...

So long as we don't have to jump through flaming hoops to unlock them I agree.

All the Smash Bros game's were pretty ruthless about unlocking stuff.

Of course you're all interested in what Omar had to say about Crash Bandicoot, right?! Well, he had something to say to all of you: "Of course we considered, Crash!" We joked a lot about Crash at PAX as it was his 16th birthday on the first day of the show. The first time we asked about him he said to ask Activision, and after some persistence he told us to stay tuned! One fan asked if he would be considered as DLC, and he gave him a strong no. "Crash, would NEVER be DLC, he would be a free character". What we took away from all this is that he might be one of the last characters they reveal of the game. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Big Daddy was announced before leak. But he wasn't IN the leak.

The only minion we have seen thus far, is Cat from DmC. (Next to the Onion guy in the background)

If I remember correctly, the developers noticed the leak (which had Dante, Raiden, Nariko etc) and owned up to it, saying that "Yes indeed, those characters are all in the game, but the leak didn't have every character that will be in the game and there are more to come".

With three months there is sure to be more character announces. TGS is on the 20th so I'm hoping for some surprises. I'm sure Kat will be one announce.

I like it much more, but still wish they had gone the epic classical music way first, gotten us used to the melody, and then dropped the techno version on us. That would have made it a million times better for me.

That's most likely because they wanted to go a different route than Smash.

I'm pretty sure there will be DLC characters or even a DLC character pack with multiple characters in it.

What bothers me the most is that they had all these character polls when they first announced the game.
With Crash, Spyro, Cloud, Snake and Sora complete dominating the polls, yet none of them are in.
I get that some characters are probably a complete bitch to obtain, but none of them?
And i don't mind Evil Cole in here, but there were MANY other choices that would've been alot better.
Besides that, Playstation got huge through some awesome RPG's, yet none of them represented?

It's kind of sad, because the combat is really solid, it's even better than Smash in some regard.
