Jinbei has not joined the crew. Anything can happen to prevent him from joining. So I do not treat him as part of the crew until he officially is. Simple as that.

Nerf derf he might die right? give me a damn break the only two people who have ever died in the current time of OP were Ace and Whitebeard. [[that was just two or three years ago]]

All of a sudden Jinbe has death tole coming soon,can you give me a reason why anything would "happen to him"? Aside from it prevents him from joining because thats all I hear ,haters attempt to dismiss Jinbe's recruitment by claiming he'll die ,not you specifically but half of the people who think this theory don't even have a reason.

They just mysteriously have a feeling.

Only reason Oda postponed his joining was status ,the other members of the trio need a bounty Raise.

Honestly, I think what's needed to protect an Island is a name. A name that inspires fear to low level people primarily.
Kind of the way Garp put up a sign that he was protecting Windmill village.

I think if he stayed on the Island full time he could protect it, Like Crocodile on Alabasta. But I'd wager even Mihawk would have a problem protecting an Island like Fishman island which gets constant traffic by pirates without always being there himself.

As far as the Shichibukai go, I think it's plausible to say there below in strength compared to an Admiral. At some point the crew has to be able to surpass an Admiral type of strength on the way to defeating a Yonkou.
I'm not sure story wise, when you would see Zoro surpassing Mihawk, I think we would normally assume it would be towards the end. But that could change.

Well I think I will stop my sarcasm now. I agree with you in some points but what I mean is the statemnt of previous posts that Shichibukai are near equal in strenght which is shit.

And now stopping ONE attack from an admiral isn't making someone top tier… Pre TS Luffy was able to avoid MIhawk slashes, VAs and even avoid Aokiji's attacks. with that logic he was Shichibukai level pre TS and now probably is even more, if someone as Jinbe wants to join him

The reason I don't see Jinbē dying, is because Luffy already went through his "coping with death" arc.
If anything, it would be cooler if Luffy succeeded in rescuing Jinbē, where he failed in rescuing Ace.

There is absolutely no reason to think he would have to transform fully or partially into an animal to utilize an aspect of a zoan fruit. An ability associated with the Hito Hito no mi is enlightenment. When Chopper's in his full reindeer form he doesn't lose the mental capacity of a human just because the rest of his body isn't using his power. It has in fact been shown that individuals can be affected by and use abilities granted by zoan fruits without the physical transformation. Those of you thinking he's not a zoan for any number of reasons are being absolutely idiotic.

Right and Sengoku can create shock waves outside of his Buddha form? Marigold can shoot venom outside of her snake hybrid form? Marigold can light herself on fire outside of her snake hybrid form? Sandersonia can make Medusa hair snakes outside of her hybrid snake form? Lasso can get sick in gun form? Jarbra and Lucci can use upgraded sharp versions of Shigan outside of their hybrid states? We know for sure that Kinemon turned into a fox because he grew no muzzle no one reacted to his transformation despite Franky/ Chopper looking right at him. Oh and Zoan devil fruit conformation has never being identified with a hint to or an actual transformation. Right…....... Remember to that Chopper's situation is unique from the majority of the characters in the series. He's animal that ate a human fruit instead of human eating an animal fruit, he also doesn't revert to reindeer form when he is submerged in water or unconscious.

Pretty sure Kinemon is not a Zoan. His power of 'disguise' is actually pretty useful if you think about what he could presumably do with it. Since the clothing he made is warm, the disguises he makes have the properties of the things he's basing them off of. So he could suddenly, for example, create armor, additional (melee) weaponry, shields/barriers. Plus he's a haki user… There's no need for him to be some sort of Tanuki/Fox-Man.

I don't see Jinbe dying. I don't see him being denied his promise to join Luffy in the future either. I do think that people break down 'power level' way too much, that the series has shown Luffy, Sanji, Zoro and Jinbe to all be in roughly the same league and capable of similar feats.

But we don't need to discuss it, as we have an ultimate 'end goal' of when Jinbe will join (~the defeat of Big Mom) and we even have a point where we can start contemplating it as definitive (Luffy's next bounty raise). So yeah. He hasn't joined yet. He and Luffy just have a standing agreement based on trust and friendship that he will join once he's taken care of his business. One such item of business is, coincidentally, something the Strawhats have already begun to deal with, and depending on who Law is targeting, will be dealing with very shortly.

OH! Oh man... how great would it be if the Strawhats start their assault on Big Mom, with the bomb in the Tamatebakko (I'm sure I misspelled that) going off right before? Or during? Maybe it messes up their carefully laid plan... Or they beat Big Mom, get their treasure back, set off the bomb, it collapses the castle/fort/ship/whatever and they end up with nothing to show for beating a Yonko?

One more thing, actually. I was re-reading this week's chapter, and thinking about how natural Kinemon looked next to Sanji and Brooke as they were perving out. Then I thought about how he and Brooke fought, with Brooke leveling out against him, and how he uses a different sword style than both Brooke and Zoro... I want to see what happens to his son, but I'm starting to get this feeling about Kinemon... if we REALLY wanted to preserve the overall dynamic of the crew, then we'd need someone from each of the three internal combats levels in the Strawhats to join, right? Luffy said, "At LEAST 10," didn't he?

We do not need another Brook on the crew.

And we already have eight members, not including the captain, so we only need two more. Not enough for each internal power level.

Hey I'm not the author here so I don't want to make any speculations. Its no use because it'll just sound like fanfiction and that's what it is. That's why I chose the words "anything can happen". I feel that people accepting Jinbei's joining already even though he's not officially in is ridiculous. Keep in my I'm not hating on Jinbei. Honestly I don't mind him joining. Does a person need to be a Jinbei-hater in order to doubt his joining? That's a narrow way of thinking. I'm just taking a more practical approach of only treating him as a strawhat when it happens. Its too early for that. If you're still adamant in saying he's part of the crew already then whatever. Do what you want.

Technically speaking, shouldn't all of the Strawhats be pass the level of a character like Lucci. Kind of putting their bountym between 200-300 million beri each, adjusting in their 2 year power ups.

not everybodies that strong, luffy said himself in the cp9 arc he had some nakama that were weak, that's why he had to be strong enough to beat anybody (gear 2nd came shortly after) so i'm gonna say the weakling trio would still be murdered by lucci.
But since predictions are fun, let's give it a shot:

we could argue some seem low, but i don't expect there to be major jumps, especially since the rest of the crew will be defeating secondary crew members.

I don't find this a compelling argument against someone joining, but a fair number of people seem to. But if we add three more, it stays largely the same in a relative manner. Kinemon has shown himself to be roughly on par with Brook, and we have Jinbe (we'll just say) as a contender. Which would leave one more 'slot' open at the lower rung.

Then I made a reference to the comment Luffy had near the start of the series that he wants at least ten crewmembers. The phrasing implying that he could end up with more.

Ahh it's nice to see people who understand the importance of that phrase, so many think that he wants Only 10 which would be weird seeing as he is aiming for a crew like Shanks and we have seen Shanks' crew contained more then 10 when it was first introduced.

I think that the crew has room for two more.
Luffy wasn't counting himself when he said "ten members", and including Stronger, the BB Pirates actually have eleven members.

Where does BB has 11 members… But you probably count Stronger as well... the horse of Doc Q who hasn't got a introduction box or later any a english naming in the Bonney/BB chapter as well... While all the other members got one

The horse is there for him, and there's little indication that the rest of the Blackbeards treat it like anything more than a pet/crutch for the Doc.

I don't think it would make him a complete character, but a formidable 1 vs 1 opponent against one of the SH's.

But Hattori was a member of the arc viilians, Pierre a major support character and so on.

And Heat the Wire at least had some speak + never were seen to carry Law on their back like a horse… Stronger not even once in the 5 appearances was handled as member on his own but instead as the horse of Doc Q. Not at the war, not in the Bonney scene, not in Impel Down, not against Ace and not in Jaya

But I like your logic. So my future fight. Stronger vs Thousand Sunny, cuz she is treated as nakama as well. The dialogue between them will be indeed funny and Oda has plenty time to evolve them

But now that Franky has gone all mecha don't you think the posibility of Sunny becoming half mecha-half leon zoan (because they are gonna meet vegapunk and he is going tell the SH all his secrets, including how to feed Devil Fruit to objects.

That could become an amazing match off against Stronger, that by that time is gonna have the Strong Strong no mi, giving it Hulk like attributes.

Anyway I do think Stronger (and also the Doc) could become really powerful and fast in a serious match off against the SH, of course untill now all that has been shown about the horse its that its almost fainting and lazy but when the time comes I'm sure they will pull something amazing from their sleeve.

I do not see Wire in 591 I did see him in 594 and he didn't speak Heat did.

But I guess you're right even though your a living being and a member of the crew you're not a member of the crew. Heat never got a intro box. So neither Heat or Wire are important members of the Heart Pirates by your logic despite appearing multiple times

You're missing the point. We all know that Stronger is an important and valued member of Blackbeard's crew. But judging by the treatment given to all the rest of the Blackbeard Pirates through romanization and such, he's not as important as say, Lafitte, or Van Auger. Thus, he's not apt to be compared to a full member of the StrawHats like Chopper, no matter if both of them are animals. You're missing the point. We all know that Stronger is an important and valued member of Blackbeard's crew. But judging by the treatment given to all the rest of the Blackbeard Pirates through romanization and such, he's not as important as say, Lafitte, or Van Auger. Thus, he's not apt to be compared to a full member of the StrawHats like Chopper, no matter if both of them are animals. I understand this, however he is a member of the crew. For some reason KiShiDo doesn't think so. Stronger and or Doc Q must have some value otherwise they wouldn't be on this crew to being with.

Are you high of course he is a member but he is heavily conencted to DoC Q and not a individual who is acting on his own as the others. Same as Hattori hasn't a fight against someone of the SHs.

All I'm saying is. If you count SHs to mirror BBs for fighting purposes, don't count Stronger on his own but together with Doc Q

Doc Q is supposed to mirror Chopper. He is a doctor with an animal, while Chopper is an animal doctor.
I wouldn't be surprised if Chopper had to fight both of them at once, even though Stronger is a member.

Fighting purposes or not Stronger and Doc Q are two separate entities therefore they are two separate characters which means the Blackbeard crew has 11 members which also means the straw hats will have 11 members. Also Wire never talks.

Now let's assume that Stronger will not get a 1v1, and will fight Chopper alongside Doc Q.
Does this mean that BB still has another member to acquire? Perhaps one of the Supernovae?

I'm not the one who brought up the name box stuff, you did. And seeing as how Doc Q uses Stronger to get around wouldn't he be used for fighting purposes because last time I checked you needed to move in order to fight.

Well, why would he need another Doctor? Also I doubt we'll be getting more because we haven't even developed the new ones that were obtained.
