Shanks is worried about blackbeard becoming a great threat, and eventually aiming for the top, he knows balckbeard's strength at that moment would be enough to take Ace down, so he warns whitebeard about it. Do you really think pre timeskip blackbeard had any actual chance of defeating shanks?, Now that he has got the gura gura no mi, and keeps growing in strenght as time passes, he is or will become powerful enough to fight shanks.
The only thing we know about that clash between shanks and blackbeard is that Teach was powerful enough to scar Shanks in the faces, but we don't know if he was powerful enough to do any harm beyond that. Shanks was worried about the growth of blackbeard and the fate of Ace. There is no indication about blackbeard preTS being on the same level as shanks
I Think Shanks can Take down Blackbeard pre Timeskip for sure, Because BB mentions himself that "We are not ready to take you on yet". However, Shanks would certainly have a really HARD time. Shanks was Injured by BB who had 0 devil fruits back than, Shanks even goes as far as to say "He wasn't being Careless" he was serious with BB during that encounter. This gives us a little indication that Shanks doesn't come close to Destroying BB like how WB can. Shanks and Blackbeard would have a tough battle regardless if Shanks win, Which he would have back than.

Yep, the yonkou's strenght might vary greatly like that of between the shichibukai, but that doesn't mean both kaidou and big mom are weaker than and admiral, I can accept one of them is weak than admiral and compensate this lack of strenght with a powerful crew and witts, but I refuse to acknowledge you can determinate which one is the weaker one with the information we have.
In the translation you posted before it said they fought equally, right?
Well, I've checked the raw and I haven't seen anything that could mean equally there

So we only know they fought and kaidou obviously won. It never was said moriah was as strong as shanks.
Crocodile also fought whitebeard, how can somebody who is compared to crocodile beat an admiral?.

Again Why can't a yonkou Lose to an Admiral??? I mean the World Strongest Man Didn't have it Easy against one of them, And WB is League of his own.While BB who was Certainly powerful back than, he didn't stand a chance even in the state that WB was even. Than Akainu who's in a Similar Beaten State Comes back to do something unbelievable. Mihawk who is Shanks equal couldn't do much against Vista or Jozu While Akainu fights all the commanders + Croc at Once Defeating and Injuring many in the process. Like I said before Oda is saving Mihawk and Shanks for later and didn't show much about them because of that. I'm certain Mihawk and shanks are capable of defeating an admiral, BUT from what we have so far the Admirals feats far Exceed anyone who isn't WB. Why do People think That just because they are the most powerful Pirate crew than that means they should be capable of Defeating an Admiral?? is it because you think they wouldn't exist if they couldn't... Well that's not true. They are SAFE in the New World.

I've read some people's posts who said this is gonna be crocodile of the yonkou, welp, if I remember correctly luffy lost two fights agaisnt crocodile and got mortally poisoned in the last one.
So if this time Luffy also beats Big Mom miraculously, he still couldn't beat an admiral so easily.
By the way, I don't buy the crocodile of the yonkou thing, and I think it will past more than 2 years till the conflict with Big Mom will be solved.
Sure Luffy is going to have tough battle, doesn't change the fact that his going to win, and it will not place him to be capable of defeating an Admiral when he does. However long it takes to defeat Big Mom, or Kaido they will Certainly be surpassed by most likely Luffy, Kid, Law and Maybe Drake. They are being built to be the New Emperors who will take over their places. Than would that mean Now, there are 8 people out there who can Defeat the Worlds Governments Strongest fighting Power???

The Shichibukai All 7 on the Marines Side + Marines To Counter All 4 Yonkou" Counter does not mean to Defeat All 4 at Once or Even Take on All 4 To a Stalemate. Counter Can be Interpreted in many different ways than. If they aren't at least as strong as this than the WG wouldn't exist.
The Admirals are really Strong. If they go down The Marines are screwed. If just 4 Yonkou join their entire forces than the WG is gone. There are tons of other pirates out there who are Really close to be as powerful as Yonkou. On top of this their are Revolutionaries, Imagine All this The WG has to deal with. Their Main fighters have to be capable to even take on the Worlds strongest man. Which He did and did pretty well.
Actually, Its all 4 at Once. Its saids so right in the middle box. Counter could mean many things but still they counter all 4. It doesn't mean they are Equipped to fight all 4 at once, but they have somethings that works for their advantage like the the Yonkou being enemies of another. Or the fact that Such a Large Number of Fleets of the yonkou making a move to join forces would certainly not go unheard of. Than maybe the WG can Send Assistance with whatever other Powers that they have into The marines + Shichibukai balance. The WG should be considered another power which works in favor of the Marines and Shichibukai in this Balance of Power.
