I don't think you have a right to accuse people who have invested quite a bit in the series and Viz as a whole (OP 1 -61, FMA 1 - 27, Bakuman 1 - 9, HxH 1 - 27, 20th Century Boys 1 - 9, 15, 16, RuroKen 1 - 28, DB 1 - 42, YYH 1 -19, Toriko 1 - 3, Gintama 1- 13, Monster 1 - 10, Death Note 1 - 12, Vagabond Vizbig 1- 6, Pluto 1 - 8, and Naruto 1 - 55) as being whiny or imply some sense of entitlement for expressing an opinion.
My initial post was very mild. All I said was I feel less inclined to subscribe when Viz tries to force me to make that choice in a manner I feel disrespects the very people that have supported OP from the start in the US.
Not to mention, they're forcing sites to take down KHR! and Gintama, which they cancelled, HxH which doesn't run in Alpha, and Beelzebub which they haven't even announced plans to release in any way, shape, or form.
Viz offering a free site like mangastream that only keeps up the chapters not yet in collected volumes would make far more sense and make sites like mangareader and mangastream obsolete with their higher quality scans. Offering digital back issues and collected volumes for a fee would then make sense for those who don't want to buy the collected volumes.
