Sure. What I'm trying to say is that some think that Sanji had haki back then when he used DJ for the 1st time and that such notion explains why he wasn't burned, because he sould've been burnt, and I said that it's just plot device or whatever the hell it's called when physics don't apply.
Well, technically, the first time he used it he was alone with Jyabura, who himself certainly was surprised by it. He's only used it a few times since then in the presence of other Straw Hats, and yes, perhaps they should have mentioned it, but even Zoro's Asura was only met by a passing statement of confusion by Chopper and Usopp, and that's far more out of the ordinary, so my assumption is that with crazy abilities like that the crew doesn't always necessarily point it out. No one seems to have questioned Usopp using Pop Greens, or asking him how he did it, or questioned Brook using a frozen sword. Things like this happen amongst the crew pretty often.
For example, we all know that Zoro's slashes can cut stone itself, but when an enemy is cut by such attack he isn't cut in half, and so you could argue that such character has a degree of CoA because he should've been cut in two.
Or you could argue that he isn't cutting them because he has control over his swords, which has been a recurring and significant theme with him. Zoro isn't interested in murdering people, he's interested in defeating them, and that's how far he goes when cutting opponents. So yes, you could argue that that foe has Armament Haki, but knowing what we know about Zoro, his history and his swords, it would be a pretty piss-poor argument.
We all know too that Luffy's punches can smash rocks, but when he hits someone that character doesn't explode with its innards splattered everywhere, so again, you could argue that he had CoA because he should've been smashed to pieces.
Well, we've seen that a great deal of Luffy's opponents have superhuman endurance, perhaps making them tougher than stone (Tekkai being the most obvious example, but fishmen like Hody and Arlong have ten times the strength of a normal human, so it's not a stretch to say they have ten times the stamina. Fish are scaley too, anyhow).
So, IMO some are trying too hard to explain why Sanji isn't burnt when he uses DJ.
Well, I'd say that's a pretty poor argument, because there's nothing at all complex or unintuitive about him using Armament Haki.
