I'm glad it's not on break this week.
I don't think I would be able to handle two weeks in a row without Toriko.
Toriko

Is there any way to check when episodes go out and stuff like that? news and breaks… i dont see there is a forum like this one for toriko.
-
just for ur information, there's a new forum for toriko out there : http://www.torikoforums.com
ya it's still new, and i don't know if i can even post an external link like that, but here ya go.
:) -
5 forums, 3 of them are about other mangas with huge ass forums…
Not sure they'll last long if it's like that.

It's no problem, thanks for the link. )))

So there'll be a chapter? that's good news.

If anyone hasn't seen it yet the latest anime episode (Match Vs. Barrygamon) is actually very good and action-packed. The animation is very fluent and Tommyrod's faces are actually animated very nicely. Even though there isn't any blood shown in the battle it still kept me very entertained and the music fit perfectly as well.
Seriously guys these Ice Hell fights are actually really good.

what episode does the Ice Hell start on?

what episode does the Ice Hell start on?
the arc started at eps 23 but they boarded the ship to ice hell at eps 25
-
So could anyone summarise the spolier script ? I only skimmed the chinese scan and as you may well have guessed, I can't read chinese so…...
-
With out Kewl, we won't be able to read Toriko I guess - -
Damn I want to know all stuff they talk in the chapter '@'
-
I'm gonna cry. Kewl, where are you?

You all know I'm one of the biggest haters of the anime adaption, but -
I checked out the latest fights, and they seem alright. Now as fuck-awesome as in the manga, but decent enough. The Regal Mammoth fights are also much more tolerable in AMV format, my preferred method of experiencing anime fight scenes. And whoever did the animation for the Grinnpatch fight, especially when Toriko cuts the straw, that guy was really on point. Now, the biggest question remains: The arm. What will become of it?
-
Well, at least we'll get new spoilers in just 3 days.
-
Now, the biggest question remains: The arm. What will become of it?
Toriko gets arthritis and has to go to Life to fix it.
-
Either he will lose it but no blood will be shown (like when Nappa severed Tenshinhan's arm in the edited DragonBall Z Kai) and just have what is shown be pitch black. Or he could have it severely frostbitten, and he goes to Life to have the damaged tissues and dead cells reborn and regrown (seeing as how when frostbitten your dead cells and tissue will never grow back), or one final theory is the bones get shattered beyond normal healing.
The episode last night was decent, showed bugs crawling inside of Toriko and him repeling them out of his body with his strength. Next week is the full-on battle between Toriko and Tommyrod, so we will soon find out….
-
All Toriko characters are made of rubber, just look at the "wounds".
his arm will become gray and he'll return it to it's original form in life.
-
Or maybe he will just get a cold. And in Life he will become healthy again.
And I like this week's chapter. Probably the best of Jump this week.
Matching the pictures and then eating, easy and simple and funny.
And Coco is being badass.I wonder what Livebearer is going to do. A card game hasn't been this interesting in ages.

Chapter 164 is out Hi Wa Mata Noboru : http://www.apiljuce.com/mangareader/reader/read/toriko/en/19/164/page/1
looks like an awesome chapter off to read…. thanks a lot kewl...
-
Awesome as usual. Thanks Kewl, wherever you are :P
-
Kewl, you and your lovely friends have my heart.
-
Yes! Thanks you Kewl~
Liverbearer looks creepier and creepier every chapter.
-
Wow Coco sure is awesome.
-
Uhu
-
Can Coco see through the cards? With his eyes, it's possible, right?
-
I kinda hope theres more to this card game than this. Some extra phases with dangerous scenarious or something. Because while amusing, I'd much rather they'd stayed longer in the VIP room and spent time on monster bullfights, Russian Shark and the likes.
-
That was a good chapter, hope it eventually gets more serious at some point though. God bless you kewl and the gang.
-
I bet the dangerous scenarios are the specially cooked ingredients, but I'm curious as to why Livebearer always wins. The obvious answer is that all of them got defeated from food poisoning, couldn't finish the food, or couldn't choose a pair with in 10 tries… but it'll be cool if Livebearer had a trick up his sleeve. :ninja: I kinda want to see Komatsu shine again with his cooking abilities, hearing the ingredients voice and food luck. Go, Komatsu, go!
-
Casino always wins. That creeper must have tactics to rev up these points and yet not cheat straight. Basically they have same chances, especially at the beginning. Belly capacity is not an issue, since there were large teams of eaters. And so is cooking. Remembering numbers is pretty straight too, so Livebearer must have a way to control the game. Have fun, but still win in the end. Just like he easily won 214 games.
-
It
s just the beginning, so there is no doubt Livebearer hasn
t a method to win this kind of game.
I rly like how he is smiling so diabolic all the time :)
We saw how he eats his food and i think that Komatsu has the hardest part of the trio to prepair dangerous ingridents in the end, because Coco and Toriko shouldn`t have any problems with their tasks. -
I hope there's something more to this game than knowing beforehand what cards to choose. Because really, Livebearer could have been making all his disgusting rapefaces at a friendly game of Russian Shark with just as much success.
-
Very satisfying chapter. Lifebearer is a great villain character in my opinion, doesn't even need much explanation, I think. Same with Coco - I don't feel the need to have explained why exactly he could pair them already, it's just pretty badass.
Kinda wish they had spent more time at other parts of the Casino beforehand, but that's ok…
Just hoping this stays interesting as it is, and is not over too quickly. I want a situation that doesn't get resolved as soon as it shows up... Like how Grinpatch is just too awesome to get defeated and is just out there. And others. I like that. -
Just when I think Livebearer can't make a more disturbing face, he goes ahead and does. Jesus, if they want to censor things that'll traumatize little kids, those faces should be the first to go, not the blood. Zebra is another culprit. Not to mention Toriko himself.
-
Great chapter as always. I agree that the difficulty will be what the ingredients actually are. Komatsu will have to prepare weird and dangerous stuff and Toriko will have to survive the eating. Of course, poison can't be a problem with Coco around. I'm assuming these joker things will be the most important part though.
-
^yeah, the fact that it'll probably be a ridiculous amount of matches from the very start will make it depend more on the other aspects of the game for it to be interesting. I'm assuming they'll all be relatively easy things to prepare too.. since I doubt the game is suppose to be hours upon hours long with Komatsu preparing every dish.
-
AWESOME!!!! Thank You Kewl!!!
-
The end result of this arc should be pretty clear now.
Toriko & co. will win. Technically this means that Livebearer would have to give up all of his memories. They'll end up striking a bargain with him in where he doesn't have to give up his memories (except Meteor Garlic obviously) if he destroys all of the narcotic food that was causing issues for Match.
Toriko, Coco and Komatsu leave happy from getting to "taste" the meteor garlic, and Match leaves happy because the narcotics are gone. Livebearer is pissed because he lost his illegal drug stash, but also relieved that he didn't lose all of his memories.
-
Anyone thinks it's a little dissapointing that they apparently won't even be able to get the ingredient they came down to find ?
-

I miss something? Why won't they be able to get it?
-
I miss something? Why won't they be able to get it?
Cause they seem to only be able to get the memory of how it tasted.
-
They'd be getting information about Meteor Garlic as well, which includes where to get it and how to find it.
-
What, so this arc is just a prequel to the real Meteor Garlic arc?
-
@The:
What, so this arc is just a prequel to the real Meteor Garlic arc?
Apparently so.
Well, they only mentioned taste impressions, not sure if precise capture and location data can be qualified as such.

Well, he'd useless to the Bishokukai without his memories.

Still though, Livebearer looks like he is plotting something. :ninja: It would be a waste to just let him go like that. He looks like like he'd put on an interesting fight, so I'll be disappointed if we won't get a fight.

Even in a shonen, it doesn't always have to be about beating your opponent up. There are other ways to beat someone than with your fists or powers or with a weapon… there's this thing called your mind.
