Next I'd probably recommend you check out Hunter x Hunter. It's got that kind of classic Shonen atmosphere to it, that you seem to enjoy.
Lol, yeah, I'm going to check that one out too but first I'm going to do Bakuman and Beelzebub. Probably Ao No Exorcist too then catch up on the longer running manga like Hunter X Hunter and Negima.

Since I just caught up on the manga I don't know how much this has been discussed but I'm really perplexed about Komatsu's recovery here.

He's a regular human (though a remarkable chef) and was stabbed straight through his back. Yet, he just gets up after the fight and everything's fine. No comments on his wound at all. Like…it never happened. It's not like the guy has Gourmet Cells either. I know we never see a hole form on the other side but for his skin and shirt to stretch that far, that blow looks like it should have been fatal, and the only reason I'm pointing this out is because Komatsu is just so physically weak. I think that blow should have done more damage because after the battle...

He just gets right back up and the only worry is the cola. Not the giant wound that should be in his back. I can see if Toriko or any other strong guy got that kind of wound but Komatsu…
Should I just sum this up as typical Shounen damage resistance or the blow looked worse than it actually was, or was this an oversight by the author?
