looking at the preview and the title of the next chapters I think that the adaption will be:
508–nami and franky
509--zoro and mihawk
510--brook and chopper
511--beginning of the manga chapter 593 (robin and sanji and the conversation between ivankof and dragon because it's tied to sanji's part)
512--second half of 593 and first half of 594
513--all about the supernovas (second half of 594 and first half of 595, maybe they'll use this page too http://www.mangafox.com/manga/one_piece/v58/c595/9.html )
514–2 crewmembers
515--2 crewmembers
516--3 crewmembers
517--chapter 597 (luffy, zoro and timeskip)
So I think that the timeskip will be in the first half of october, if they don't add filler.

I don't remember; was there was any mention of the episodes taking a break before airing the post-ts ones? Otherwise, it should be in September.

the thing is that merchandise starts coming out beginning half of september, with some also listed as half october…

ít should def. start inbetween that time, as merchandise usually goes along hand in hand with the anime...
for example... they didn't have sabo merchandise until AFTER he was introduced in the anime...

! Technically they aren't even in the new world yet when post time skip begins (hell they arent even there now nearly 40 chapters later) So One Piece: New World wouldn't fit despite it sounding cool

Everyone keeps asking about the cover stories - I was thinking how awesome would it be in the Anime - Just after the music intro they have the little speach about Gold Roger and Luffy's journey - They put the Coverstories from the decks of the world there - each one takes up barely any time and doesn't bite into their episode time because it is a given for the obligatory catchup required.

I just finished episode 49 the one where Zoro gets his new swords and a cursed sword and this series is great. just wanted to say that. I love this show. I hope it never goes downhill. So far it's just getting better and better as each arc goes on. I haven't seen any filler yet though. I hope that doesn't suck. I also hope we get season 4 dubbed by FUnimation and the movies dubbed by Funimation. How can Naruto be more popular than this show in america when Naruto is terrible. I bought Naruto the first 2 box sets thinking it would be as great as this anime and so far it's medicore. I only saw 7 episodes though but the voice acting is terrible in the dub while One Piece ain't. Also the characters so far don't have that much personality yet and the story has really no story so far. Maybe it's because i'm still in the beginning but I don't like that show so far. I will watch more soon. One Piece should be more popular in america than Naruto. Naruto's official website even has a forum for their websiter while One Piece doesn't. Why doesn't One Piece have a forum on their official site. Anyway thanks

Pretty sure you're in a mini filler arc now lil kis. Usopp and Big Daddy, Sanji and the Elephant Tuna is all filler stuff.
The Pacing does eventually reach a ratio of 1 chapter 1 episode later on, but you're literally 450+ episodes away from that though.
One piece's filler arcs are very enjoyable. G8 is easily the best filler arc in one piece (its even better than some canon arcs)
As far as your dub opinions I have no comment since I watch the sub.

I think that Usopp and Big Daddy was Oda idea, but he hasn't enough space in the manga to write it because he wanted to call the chapter 100 legend, and sanji bought the elephant tuna in the manga, there wasn't any competition tough.

I would really like some more cover stories animated. Does anyone know why we only got Buggy and Colbys?
I think it would be an outstanding way to widen the gap between the anime and the manga.
Plus a "where are they now" type of thing would work well considering a time skip is coming.

I just finished all of season 1 of One Piece and it was fantastic! Sanji is growing on me as a character. I used to like him the least of all the straw hat pirates. Anyways I can't wait to start up season 2 when they get to the Grand Stream. I thought the last episode of season 1 Zoro would be stranded on the island but I guess I was wrong. A fantastic series this show is. I really hope we get season 4!!! When may we find something out? Thanks

Unless the dub changed the name, its the "grand line".
Glad you're enjoying the series, Sanji is one of my favorites too.
As far as season 4, I don't think there is a official release for it yet.
You still have 157 episodes tho, so maybe by the time you catch up season 4 will be out.

Probably because they're the two that are going to be in the New World for certain (to us, the viewers) – I don't know. A post-time skip where they are now would work, but I don't think the anime team would be able to do that unless Oda helps them out.

Well from what I've been told the ratings during the cover stories were mediocre since they weren't Luffy centric episodes. That could be entirely false, I'm just going by what I was told.

Anyway if thats the case, I thought of a nice work around to implement cover stories into the main story while keeping Luffy semi-centric.

Heres an example, let me know what you think.
Luffy and Rayleigh can begin training at night time doing some various filler training. Then afterwards Luffy lays down exhausted from all the training and looks up at the stars and moon and says something to the extent "Wow, the moon is amazing! I wonder whats going on up there!?" The Screen zooms in on the moon.
-Cut to a commercial break-
Then when the episode comes back, the begin of Enel's Cover story.

Anyway, I have a few more ideas to connect Luffy's training to some more cover stories. I just wanted to see what you guys think.

Hi!
I've decided to make a shortned version of Marineford arc. Now, don't get too excited, its not super epic version of marineford with epic scenes and music, uber fast action and no bullsh*t like characters talking about ace being rogers son. I didnt cut scenes beacuse they were not important, or lame or whatever. I just shortened them. for example
Garp: blablabla
staring at each other for 5 sec
Sengoku: bla bla
staring at each other for 5 sec
Garp: blabla
walkig for 5 sec and then stop, stand 5 sec
Garp: bla
so i just removed that useless pauses, walking, standing and doing nothing moments, some stillshot and some chracters commentary like "omg kuzan saved us, he's so awesome, oi coby he's awesome right? omg so much sex" etc. Sometimes if scene is really dull, long, pointless, i cut it too, and from time to time i will make certain scenes more epic.(in 1 ep its WB enterance) And of course every action scene i will try to edit, so they will be faster now.
Im not a pro, its just amateur job, so its far from perfect, but at least IT IS, right? There are few faults/errors(don know what word should i use, lol) here and there, but i dont think they will ruin watching or something. Well you have to judge beacuse i watched it like 2347 times before finishing, so maybe i notice less/more errors than you guys will.
Im going with 2 chapters per ep pace minimum, but eps are longer than normal, firts one is 32 min long(opening included), so its like 1.5 chapter/ep pace for 24 min, but there is a lot of talking and atmosphere building that i didnt want to ruin, so i think next ones will be shorter.

Most imortatnt thing for ep 1 (32 min. long)

chapter 550 and 551 covered (ep 459, 460, beginning of 461)
buggy messiah scene is epic, so i left it.
no retarder WBs gurararara
- music added for moby dick and pops enterance (i edited it of course, so orginal manga cliffhanger and epicness are included, this is must watch)

Please watch and write what you think, its up to you to decide if i should do next eps. To tell the truth i just finished second ep and its 27 min long(2chap pace), but i'll upload it later.

I wanted to make separate thread for this, but i can't, so if you think this deserves a thread, then please make it, and i will be updating it, if not, i will be posting here, though i think its better to have all eps in one place.
I would be really thankful if you could watch it and write what you think, point out flaws etc so i could improve in future eps. I hope you will be interested in this

nothing much to say… colors in downloadable version are better than before (dunno why, some side efect) but it looks good. Shortest episode so far. I thought about cutting whole kuma scene where he's preparing ursus shock, beacuse it's not in the manga, but i left it.

edit: oh i forgot, I added some background fightning sound when there's no music, beacuse silence during war is wierd. but its not everywhrere because sample is very short so it gets repetetvie and annoying if you listen it a little longer.

I was going to stop watching movies after Baron Omatsuri thing, and I was going to stop watching filler arcs after the Ocean's Dream arc, but the G-8 arc got me thinking, 'Maybe not ALL filler arcs are bad'. All movies are bad, hands down, but the G-8 arc actually makes me want to watch more filler arcs. Can anyone tell me if it's a good idea to watch them, or just pick some that are OK to watch?

Not all movies are bad. Most are, but some stand out. Dead End Adventure is one of my personal favorites (G-8 makes an appearance in that one!), with Strong World following closely behind. I hear One Piece 3D is also pretty good, but I haven't been able to watch it thus far. The reason I like the first two is that I can actually believe those events play in the One Piece universe: there's no silly cursed sword, weird-ass monster plant or other such crappy stuff going on while all characters feel One Piece-ish in nature.

For as far filler arcs go, G-8 is the best in my opinion. The Ice Hunter arc is pretty good too - the characters are Oda's own creation and it shows, even if the arc itself drags on a little. (Which is why it ranks behind G-8 for me.) Other than that, I feel fillers suck and aren't worth watching.

Well the Oceans Dream arc is a bit dreary (I'm watching it now) and I don't really care for Foxy returning in non-canon, so just skip these too? I'll watch the Ice Hunter arc, because that one seems interesting, and maybe the Little East Blue arc too. But I will avoid the movies, except for Strong World, which is the reason I started watching it.

Crossword

Ice Hunter starts out okay, but it fizzles out once the group gets to the bad guys' HQ. Luffy's boss fight is pretty decent, though.

Little East Blue, I advise you to avoid. The first episode is okay, and the last one has some pretty good animation (different, but good), but the two in the middle, especially the third, are pretty bad, a real lowpoint for the series.

short… really short. I cut lots of unnecessary fillers and scenes. It was the hardest one to edit so far.
WB and Luffy scene is from next ep recap
I changed order of some scenes. doflamingo speech is NOT cut in two parts like in the manga/anime, and scene on top of a frozen wave is now before luffy's fall.
