I liked his earlier ones too. They were great. And I'm glad he's continuing with the episodes. Mainly because if he stopped the episodes I coiuldn't see as many people caring about the movie in 3-6 years or so.

its insanely popular in japan, it will never get cancelled. There are millions of figurines you can buy. funimation is doing dvd's here for a dub if you want it.
what more will being popular help? only thing i can think of is getting more of the one piece video games to come stateside

Look I'm desperate. I'm trying to think of as many popular people as possible and if we get them into One Piece it inspire others to do the same. I just said the AVGN because he's the best person I can come up with right now. Plus I just have this feeling he would like it. I mean he does reviews of some movies for gods sake. Granted I know he doesn't do it very often and he's about old video games but still. Its at least worth a try. I mean it couldn't hurt right?

With the Middle East in flux right now there's an open field for newly democratic nations to have new aspiring political parties established. In Tunisia and Egypt we can make inroads on pushing for a One Piece/Anime based party there, on a conservative guess I'd say we could win maybe a third of their parliamentary seats with proper pushing. But we should always be optimistic and hope for all of the seats. We can try a Yugioh based campaign there.
Libya's civil war may be ongoing but we shouldn't neglect the rebels as being the next rulers of the nation. Anybody brave enough to smuggle in dvds and pokky to Benghazi? -

To try make this somewhat on-topic. The only time I can see James reviewing an anime is if he looks at one of those obscure Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles OVAs. It might happen considering the subjects he's touched on during Turtle Tuesdays.

For some reason I don't get the joke.
The pro-anime insurgency in Northeast India has been really bothering me lately. As one Anime fan to another, at what point does pushing the cause go over the line and into war crimes? Do we accept "war crimes". Do we allow the world to dictate what it doesn't really understand because they haven't seen all of Evangelion yet?
It's a hard choice, but I'm definitely personally conflicted over the justification of the gouging out of children's eyeballs for purposes of replacing them with large stones painted like chibi eyes. It may serve as good propaganda, but personally I'm just not comfortable with the stereotyping of big watery eyes being associated with anime when there are many other subtle styles used.
For instance instead we could replace the children's eyes with realistically painted stones as if drawn by Ryoichi Ikegami.
Similarly the practice of scalping farmers and dying and spiking their hair ALSO puts forth a continuation of stereotypes about anime and manga. These things need to be taken into account by any so called division of the global anime struggle.One last note, the protests threatening to topple the regime of Tezuka's son is reaching a death total of 673. We should at least be at three times that amount by now.

You know, I don't even care that much about the AVGN. I actually like James Rolfe's movie reviews a lot more. And I don't care how off-topic we get with TK's mission of spreading the word of Oda across the world. I hope this whole off-topic…debate, if you wanna call it that goes on, because this is where the quality entertainment is at.
