@RobbyBevard:
I assume the sunny day on the mienshao is pure setup for the other critters? Since it heals after switching out I suppose you have it as lead for setup. Its kind of awkward that you also have a rain dance monster on your team tho, since the two environments are occasionally going to conflict and actually work against you. Since you have drought, chlorophyll, solar beam and snythesis, you clearly have a much more sunny team going, 4/6 of it.
Kingdra making it rain just isn't going to help much. I guess it gives a little more possibilities with castform, but going all the way with full sunny benefits or full rainy benefits might be an idea.
Its also awkward that your one critter dedicated to setting up sunny day doesn't actually get any benefit from it, especially when you have ninetails to create the automatic one.
As for Mienshao, consider also giving it drain punch to really boost its personal healing potential. Hi-jump kick packs a wallop, but it sucks a LOT when it misses, doing half your life in damage, and people fighting Mienshaos can expect and plan on that move with a lot of counters. Fly, dig, protect, switching in a ghost…
the reason i have mienshao with sunny day is because i know that so many people will be planning and countering my ninetails drought that i would like to have 2 sunny day pokemon set uppers like you said my team benefits a lot from, and can't really think of anything really beneficial for mienshao, so figured might as well throw somethign on him that benefits MOST.
while yes having sunny day and rain dance kind of contradict, but i feel with castform that rain dance is still very viable. rain dance makes my kingdra faster and helps his water move, and if rain dance is still active when castform switches in or is in same time he has a powerful water move AND a 100% accuracty thunder, which is my only thunder move on my team.
as of now my meinshau still has drain punch. i have yet to get tm stone edge, so maybe i'll not teach him stone edge and just have my torterra have stone edge.
plus i like having rain dance and 2 modes of sunny day, to be able to switch the weather to benefit me practially at all times. I know that some peopel would say have castform have hail/sunny day/rain dance/ect. but i don't like to be reliant on having it be purely on him, especially considering how slow he is. if he gets taken out, my team is stuck in whatever weather the opponent choses.
and also having drought on ninetails, if i do have rain dance active, him switching in changes to sunny day without a wasted turn. So thus i start with meinshao, get sunny day set up, and i have then like you said 4 pokemon that benefit from that. If need be i can switch to rain and still ahve 2 that benefit from it, and if that is turning bad switch ninetails in and its back to sunny day.
i guess maybe i should get politoed or something that has drizzle so i don't waste a turn going rain dance either?
