@RageaSarus:
"Death Magnetic" IS Metal. The fuck are you talkin' 'bout? lol
Lame, watered down example of a band that should have given up 10 years ago. At least.
It's as metal as "Endgame" and "World Painted Blood."
Apart from neither of those albums are down right boring. Endgame is hardly brilliant though,
Don't you even fucking dare try to start a [Metallica vs. Megadeth] bullshit with me.
Or what?
"Killing is my Business" is kickass, despite it's awesome, shitty quality.
Remaster is fantastic.
If you're saying one song from a commerical album is better than an entire album of them "going back to their roots," then you need to either admit that you're on "Team Deth" or kill yourself.
I was merely pointing out how ridiculous your statement was by using a similar example. Also theres a big difference between a band saying that their going back to their roots and actually doing so. They really didn't. St Anger is closer to classic Metallica than that.
…and yeah, Megadeth are way better imo
/facepalm
"The God That Failed" is a great song, though.
Facepalm for what? Pointing out decent songs on an otherwise average album? Give me Don't Tread on Me or Holier Than Thou above Sad But True or Wherever I May Roam any day.
Typical.
Typical of what? Not liking an album for legitimate reasons?
Anyway, I've a question for the thread.
How much does hearing music live change your perceptions of certain genres and how much do you, if at all rate the importance of live music?
Personally, I'm fairly indifferent to ska. I absolutely cannot listen to it on CD. Really can't stand it and I think that it's pretty dull to listen to. However I fucking LOVE seeing decent ska bands live. The energy and atmosphere just really doesn't come across on recordings at all. Some of the most fun I've had out has been at ska gigs.
