The window possibly disappeared but you're still logged on, that's why it says your username is in use when you open it again. That kept happening to me lol. Check if you've got some irc icons hidden in your task bar and exit one, then double click the other and the window will reappear. Hope that made a bit of sense.

We wouldn't if this forum restricted lurkers from reading content but it's just too much seeing all of these lurkers snap up all of the WCFs and POPs when we link them before actual members and contributors even get a glance. And what do you mean single out and anger everyone else? Anyone from this thread can join. The only ones it will anger are the lurkers and they aren't even members.

IRC is just too convenient of an option for sharing links since you can keep it open all the time and minimized in your PC's tray with a warning for a new message.

I've been away from my PC when pre-orders go up. But I can make the pre-order from my phone. Having a thread to check is easier than checking some elitist club chat with it's own confusing system. If it's such an issue, why not request to set up a subforum that works like spoiler forums so that only members can see? Noone has to sign up for anything extra, AP still keeps it's community members in-house, and it encourages lurkers to join.

Don't worry, I'll personally be announcing the pre-orders on the site. I don't see why some people think they should get stuff and others shouldn't. I don't like lurkers myself but they deserve the stuff just as much as anyone else.

Personally I'm not bothered about Perona or Vista or Shanks. I'll order Perona and can decide nearer the time if I want her. If I don't then I'm sure somebody else would like to have the pre-order instead.

And lo. I shall also give ye all some video to watch.

Wait. what the hell am I talkin about.. Those days were fun. LOL. Like I was saying earlier, lurkers can just as be board members who are not able to log in. Having to go to an IRC just to sccop for preorders seem OVERKILL. Sounds a bit snobbish or childish.

I don't like the idea of excluding anyone just because they're not very present on the thread. Yet, I'm starting to like you guys, and I'm sad that some of you miss the pre-order you were eagerly waiting for, and that because you dared yawning, or worse, blinking.
It's not about keeping the info for some kind of elites. It's just about trying to help our friends getting a chance to buy what they want.

This, although it's a lot more evident in the Doctor Who range since I can actually walk into a shop, heart skip a beat and quickly grab what I want. More fun when there are rare ones you can't get too. Fez Doctor is the one atm. Can't find him anywhere. (because the combination of a Fex + Bow ties is so kewl the world nearly imploded.)

@ Blacksmith, he is indeed very awesome. I'm praying and hoping this TK Holdings company makes the entire team. But Sakuragi is breathtaking and you took nice pictures (as always heh).

Regarding IRC, I don't see what the harm is….it's not a replacement for this thread and everyone will still post and respond here....it's more like a hangout spot to chat with other collectors in this thread....no real harm in that. In regards to preorders, I'm sure the link will make it on this thread more or less simultaenously from the irc channel so all this bickering is for naught. Just relax all and try to join the channel, it's fun to talk to others back and forth.....also people didn't stop using irc, just the general public did compared to when it was first introduced and people used it like messengers...IRC is very much alive for specific topics.

Moreover you do forget one crucial thing. Lurkers are not as responsible for snatching yer preorders as you think they are. Don't forget that shops like AmiAmi, HS and others cater not only to foreign customers but also to JAPANESE customers. Their offer is displayed via Amazon for example and I'm sure this may be the cause why their figures sell out sooner.

Yeah the irc chat is really cool. While waiting for the preorders to appear (hitting F5, F5, F5 lol) you can chat about anything to kill time. Do drop by and check it out. BTW most of us know where to get the items anyways.

Don't know if everyone wanted to but I created an IRC chan for this thread if anyone wants to use it. Thought it may be good for us to keep the pre-order links away from the eyes of lurkers, while we post images and discussion in the thread.

What's wrong with that? Like sensui said, we're just trying to help out each other and since he posted that IRC Channel public, everyone is welcome. I don't see how we are acting like a snobbish elite, or whatever - that statements just ridiculous. Also it's a way to interact with each other. Plus we're trying to protect links from people who are way too lazy to register or F5 preorder sites themselves. But even those could easily join the IRC Chan. Afaik there's not a single person in IRC planning to buy more than 1 figure to sell them for higher prices in the end. There are people like me, going to order 2 peronas, to help someone else out who will miss that whole preorder thing for whatever reason.

I just think some people got the whole idea of the IRC channel wrong and need to calm down.

It seemed to me as if that chat programm thing was used to exclude lurkers. I was a lurker in the beginning when I first met this forum. But i am going to post on this thread also when the pre orders are ready.

After 5-6 hours of F5 last night, I think it's our right to share the links with whomever we want first. Some people seem to prefer just waiting for someone posting the links here, doing nothing, but wait. Like I said before, everyone could easily join that channel. It's pretty much fun there and absolutely not about sharing links. Also I'm sure the links will get posted here just at the same time it arrives on the channel.

I just don't get that whole drama shit here.

I think some of you are making too much out of this, and some of you are just agreeing with them for the sake of agreeing when you don't actually know the situation.

It's public, anyone can join if they're registered members.
The links people post in IRC are posted on the forums moments after being posted in IRC.
It is not an elitist club, it is just a hangout for things irrelevant to this thread and its original intention and still being used for such, is to help actual members and friends get a shot at pre-orders before lurkers that are only here to leech off our good will.

Conekiller, a sub forum only members can view would be nice, and it may solve the issue of some members missing out on items when they go up.

Again, saying that some of you are making the IRC channel sound like some jerks club overlooking society, that couldn't be farther from the truth. It's just a place to hang out and pre-emptively get a shot at pre-orders before links are out and lurkers are all in.
They may have the right to them, however, they don't have the right to leech off our good will and intentions to share with fellow members. If they want to see them as soon as they're up, they're welcome to register and contribute like everyone else. That's how a community works.

Actual members that don't want to join IRC also don't have to worry, links will be posted almost immediately after people in IRC see that pre-orders are open. That's what happened last night with DPCF Zoro and Rayleigh/Sanji on Angolz. Posted in chat and then out here only a moment later.

I don't like how they made the figure, his anatomy is horrible. Face looks good and all, but his body is just… no. He looks like a really old guy (I mean, he is, but you feel the strength of his body in the series) who put on a muscle shirt.
Newgate was a nice character, but I really don't get why people admire him so very hard when he didn't really do anything impressive. Sorry, but gathering a huge troop of 30-50 year old men, who for whatever personal emo reason think they are hated by the whole world, around you, making them call you "father" and sailing around with them is kinda... strange :P I don't see a tiny bit of heroism in there.
If you want a family - marry a nice woman and have kids :P
