I think you misunderstood the animators intentions.
Its not about the style but the way he wanted to present it to us,watchers.
First, he animates the fight in a way so we can follow the chars movements.Then, he changes to a realistical manner to show us how we are supposed to see it with naked eyes.This is a way to add intensity to the battle.
I mean, do you expect to follow a guys movement whos running at 400km/h?Same with "Road Runner Pain".

lol, starting from 1:45, that's Shingo Yamashita. The same animator who did the infamous MY PAIN IS GREATER THAN YOURS scene with the deformed faces. That's Shingo's style, I understand why many people don't like him because of the amount of deformation he does but that doesn't mean his animation is bad, that guy's scene have more frames than an entire average episode of what we get in One Piece. I don't have a problem when characters turn into blobs, as long as it intensifies the speed movement. But to each his own.

Anyway, the rest of the video was amazing. Some of the best animated fights I have seen.

Even after the correction it still look that bad, but not all the scenes, of course.

Heh, I was actually going to use that first Birdy scene in that video as my original example, but just couldn't find a standalone video of it. I think it can be used on characters as long as the scene in question is very fast or viewed from a distance. Basically in scenes where detail would naturally be lost anyway.

Movie 6 is still one of the better animations I've seen with deformity that doesn't take away from the experience as much as I've seen in these clips of 167.

I'm not talking about context, and anyway, just because there are sticky guys, not mean that the ANIMATION can't be awesome...

Well, there is OTHER example... (I can see the previous one, was absolutely ignored) to Slam Dunk spot, that was made, with very low budget. The art and animation is amazing but "your context" is just paper and pencil. And there still being amazing...

Slam Dunk doing a little short like that is deliberately going for that simple look for fun. It's a short, a skit, for a commercial.

No Slam Dunk actual episode randomly broke out into blue pencil on white. Inoue has experimented with lots of different penciling and inking styles with Vagabond, but he's always succesful because he's not just experimenting.

Oh and also….importantly enough?

I'm just trying to say, Art and Animation could be separated things, nothing more… and "context" have nothing to do between those concepts.

If a kid (or a master) use 100000000000 notebook papers pages to do an sticky guy brandishing a sword, in 3 seconds, no matter context (if he is at in studio, or at his home, or in the school break), no matter the pencil, no matter nothing.

AND THERE STILL BEING AN AMAZING ANIMATION. regardless if the sticky guy is HORRIBLE drawn
