My nerdy ass friend wrote this sad, defeated post in regards to Strider
Capcom's had a long history of being a terrible Strider cock-tease. Strider 3 had a really high chance of being made back in the early 2000s; some people at the studio that made Chaos Legion said they'd really like to make a 3D Strider game on the X-Box. They closed shortly after. And then for the rest of the decade Capcom just kind of showed varying interest in the franchise.
When Bionic Commando ReArmed came out, there were a lot of rumors about Capcom doing something similar with Strider, a lot of them from pretty reputable sources, but Capcom continuously denied that anything related to Strider was in the works. Keiji Inafune claimed Strider was one of the franchises he was interested in reviving, but he's gone now.
In the past 10 years, they've ported Strider 1 for Capcom Classics on the PSP (they only did this after people complained the game wasn't in the console release), they also ported Strider NES for a Capcom Classics for GBA, and he's shown up in a couple of the lower key cross over games. That's it.
Often times I wonder Capcom doesn't do anything with the franchise because Strider Hiryu's a jointly owned character and they'd have to pay some money the manga circle that helped create him, Moto Kikaku. Then they go and stick him in stuff like Capcom Card Fighters and NamcoXCapcom and that theory loses credibility.
MvC3 was kind of like the character's last chance; his rise in popularity with MvC1 was what lead to Strider 2 being made and I was hoping MvC3 could do something similar for him. But, I guess it won't and the chances of ever getting a new Strider game get slimmer.

In all seriousness, the game is looking to be fun to play. It's kind of sad to see the venom filled responses over people's favorites not being in. For whatever reason, Capcom and Marvel came up with a game style and a set of characters as a result of meeting and planning. These aren't a bunch of people looking to fuck people over my omitting character X or Y. To be annoyed is one thing, but are the dramatics I see every time some news is publish or a character a announced really necessary?

Taskmaster can adopt the fighting style of whoever he's fighting for a limited time, according to this. This means not only do you have access to the movesets of Taskmaster, and your other two teammates, you can then use the moveset of all three of your opponents, or use one opponent's moveset, take them down, then use the downed opponent's moveset against the opposing player's next character, then switch back to Taskmaster, giving him a wide variety of options.

I'm not a huge fan of this Taskmaster addition if it turns out to be true - I don't know much about the character, but from the sounds of it, his fighting style sounds like it would either be like Seth (Street Fighter IV; a bunch of moves from other characters haphazardly placed into one) or Charade (Soul Calibur II; a character who uses the entire moveset of one randomly-selected character).
