Double Arts by Komi Naoshi is a new manga that recently appeared on One Manga a couple weeks ago. Still young at 3 chapters (I'm fairly sure it's new even in Japan), it's looking like it has potential. At the very least, the premise is unusual enough to me to keep an eye on it.
_Elraine Figarette is a Sister. One of the rare girls with a resistance to the touch-spread "Vanishing Disease" known as Troi. As she treats others, drawing the poisons that build up in the victims into her own more-resistant body, she and the other Sisters of her order seek one who is truly immune to Troi, rather than merely being resistant like they are. Just as she is hit by the final stages of Troi, Elraine discovers the boy who could potentially be that One.
Kiri Luchile is a local artist, enjoying projects from personal figurines to huge billboards. When he sees Elraine succumbing to Troi's seizures, he rushes to her aid. What both discover soon after is that, rather than El's touch infecting Kiri, Kiri's touch halts El's symptoms. However, the moment Kiri lets go, Elraine's symptoms return in full force.
As a result, in order to keep El alive, she and Kiri can never be apart and must maintain twenty-four-seven physical contact. Whether it's eating, sleeping, bathing, or using the toilet, they cannot let go. With this, their journey begins, with their ultimate destination being the Sisters' cathedral headquarters. But they aren't without danger, as there is a group of assassins, called the Gazelle, who specifically prey upon Sisters._
Still very young, but entertaining to me. I was wondering if anybody else has read this manga and what their thoughts were.
