But it's not even near good. That's the point. It's just so lackluster and over hyped. And this is coming who strictly watches the TV show so I'm not using the comic as a way of judging this, I'm just using the standard for good tv. I keep trying to like the show, but so far it's been hopeless. I want it to be good drama, with smart scripts that feature strong and well-structured stories, and interesting, original, engaging characters. But it's absolutely none of that. Except Daryl.
"I should go after them"
"No you shouldn't"
"But it's my fault"
"Don't blame yourself".
Repeat.
That's the whole formula for the show right there. In each episode Rick does something that goes wrong (because, well, the world is full of zombies so stuff tends to go wrong) and then the rest of the time is spent on his wife telling him not to blame himself (which of course is painfully obvious to everyone but him). But because he's such a good guy that if a zombie eats one of his friends, he thinks it's his fault, when it's pretty much the zombie's fault.
The Walking Dead is the only show I've ever watched that has made me want to reach into the screen and kick their skulls in.
