Guts' demon baby can see into the future?
Berserk

@JERK:
BLEACH is the worst thing on paper.
I fixed it for you
Roshinu's apostle form is similar to that of a vulva. :wassat:
anyways…gonna continue reading the volume.
was roshinu the one apostle that looked like an overgrown fairy?
Yup. It was during that time.
Yeah, I just found out it was attacked by Kushan. It was the army on Wyndham's borders right after the king died. Attacking elephants reminds me of Hannibal. XD
Edit: Oh, Turban dudes…this is getting interesting. Isidro, younger version of Guts? I like the kid, he is funny.
Hannibal!? really? it reminded me of LOTR battle at pellinor fields, the Elefants ( I believe that's what there called).
Isidro is awesome
Honestly I like Guts new crew better than the band of the hawks.
-
Oh shit… Another eclipse is coming. I wonder if Skull Knight will team up with Guts for it. Can't wait to reach those chapters
-
I remember that part.
-
HE-GOAT!…. lol
Who owns those eyes looking at everything in the holy ground? They are creepy.
-

A character that is far more important than one would assume
You've also seen those eyes before, I wonder where :ninja: -

You've also seen those eyes before, I wonder where :ninja:Is it the BOSS of the GOD HAND? Oh well, gonna keep on reading till I find out for sure.
-
Wow, wow, wow
Calm down, not that important -
Oh…Hmmm Mozguz? that flat face priest/executioner.
The tower of conviction looks similar to the tower of rebirth. Do they have a connection in the past?
Edit: Nvm...just saw its true form now. XD
-
Why didn't Caska's brand react to Mozgus' presence? It didn't bleed at all.
-

Mozgus isn't a full Apostle. Infused with it's power, but he did not go through the whole process.
-
Hmmm…it wasn't the case for the Count's henchman though. Guts brand bled.
http://view.thespectrum.net/series/berserk-volume-01.html?ch=Volume+02&page=36and Poor Farnese, she always lands on Guts hands. The trauma. XD
Getting annoyed by that slut Nina. YES!!! Puck is alive!! That demon baby sure is strong. Fire breathing cleric of DOOOM!!!
Edit: Wait…Mozgus was human till that apostle made contact with him in the chapel? I was deceived by his appearance and brute strength.
-
This post is deleted!
-
Of course he was human.
-
Well, that square face was pretty weird and un-human
-
Maybe if you were actually reading the comic you would recall how he looked that was as a result of constantly smashing his face into the ground in prayer.

hehehehehehehehehe
-
SGRaaize, maybe Berserk just isn't for you.
-
I lol'd at this. Mozgus was indeed strange.
-
I mean it's not even a matter of skipping over a speech balloon.
We literally see him doing it. -

Erm, yes, the guy with the short eyes and no expression even commented "that must be the secret of his face"
I was merely arguing that he wasn't obviously human when we saw his faceWhy do I get the feeling you're trying hard now? Must be me misunderstanding you
-
It's not this incident alone, I wouldn't care if this was all. This is just one of many tragic head on collisions you've been having with comprehending this series.
Including central concepts surrounding Gutts' character arc and why Casca survived storywise. -
Yes, I was mistaken on Caska's life being important to the plot
You completely misunderstood me now, though -
Question to hardcore fans who know info on the artist/authors style: Does Miura use an ink brush instead of drawing pens? Does he do the background himself? This artist's art is outstanding.
Ex. Inoue's Vagabond is drawn in ink brush. The stroke pattern and outward art appearance of Berserk chapters has this ink brush consistency.
http://view.thespectrum.net/series/berserk-volume-01.html?ch=Volume+20&page=61
Check out Skull Knight's armor in posterior view, vertebral column, holy shit!. How much awesome can this man get, A LOT MORE!!!. XD
-

I read on several occasions that he does everything himself.
..which is the main reason for the "slow" releases. (also spending 40h+? a week in the world of Berserk may not be that good for your mental health).
-
That Behelit looking apostle has a brand on its tongue. Sacrifices can become apostles? :wassat:

I read on several occasions that he does everything himself.
Wow.
-
And because he does everything himself, every chapter is signed by "Miura Kentarou with Studio Gaga".
Okay.
-

Wow.
It may represent his double-role: As an apostle (who makes sacrifices) and as an existance that is "sacrificed" for Griffiths new world.
-
And because he does everything himself, every chapter is signed by "Miura Kentarou with Studio Gaga".
Okay.
Okay, then he doesn't :ninja:
mmh, maybe Mozgus & Goons get their wings/greater-wierdpowers from the merging of the astral world accompanying Griffiths birth?
Since they are not apostels they are more like wizards?
-
No they got them from the Behelit Apostle.
Why can't anyone follow this damn comic.
-

but Zephos, Berserk is so deep, one scene can be interpreted in 100 different ways!
Or they posses the reading comprehension of a 10 years old, I don't know. -
O.O
What's wrong with asking clarifications? I'm talking for myself here.
-

It was that big egg
That Goat guy was also turned into a Goat Demon because of the Egg -
Inquiry: Are the same people who say Berserk is a super dense narrative the same people who seem to be unable to have a clue what's going on in it?
-

I have no idea.
I follow the plot so far, it is still making sense to me.
-
No.
Many parts of Berserk require more attention than your average manga because they're so well spun, and so very subtle. Second reads almost always yield something more than just the one - a missed detail, a missed expression.
But I get it just fine. Where and how some folks got lost, I couldn't tell ya.
-
(Um in my defense I read that part of Berserk only once, because I found the whole inquisition supercreepy / it beeing my second least favorite arc).
In my memory that egg guy popped out of nowhere, fights against the Skullknight and then Griffith was there.
Forgive my meager comprehension
-
The Egg guy is lurking around all over the place before we see him fight against Skull Knight.
-
Ah yes you are right.. I missed stuff like this:
http://view.thespectrum.net/series/berserk-volume-01.html?ch=Volume+19&page=78
..and all the other occurances of "panel with two eyes" beeing him.
..reading it a second time makes it lot clearer.
*sigh
-
We even get a pretty full shot of the egg guy when Mogus and his crew are waiting for that door to break open, and the egg guy gets them with his needle arms.
-
In interviews its usually said he works alone and without assistants.
But Muira is credited in the trades as having help from at least four people, plus editor. How much they do, who knows. One of them might be lettering and one might be screen tones. They might do almost nothing at all. Tough to say.
Also at some point it becomes difficult to tell the difference between fan wank/internet speculation that is taken as truth, and what the actual reality is.
The art is definitely monthly series quality art, as opposed to weekly, tho
-
He definitely used to have assistants, since some of the background people looked stylistically off.
-
Berserk has definitely some "shitting bricks" material. We can all agree the Eclipse is one of those.
But one of the images that will allways stick to my mind, is this one:
The sheer apocalyptic feel I got when I saw this was really something.
-
The image that sticks out most in my mind is this one:
[hide][/hide]
It's just such evocative imagery, and then you add that to the situation. It's just so vulnerable and terrifying, which says something about the staying power of the page, considering how that sort of imagery is commonplace throughout the story.
-
I assume you mean this page, Wagomu
http://read.mangashare.com/Berserk/chapter-141/page011.htmlThe image doesn't show for those who haven't been in this page before
-
I remember there was this one bit where Guts and co were standing in front of a twilit sky and the sky looked so awesome that I just stared for a minute.
-
WoHoooooooo…. Redemption for Isidro.
Best Quote of the chapter: "NOT EVERYTHING IS THE SAME" - Isidro
-
Yeah, Farnese trying to split herself in half was very… disturbing.
-
Wasn't she possessed by a ghost that time?
