And then what? Go back to headquarters, mission accomplished? He's the one who believes, correctly, that the straw hats WILL reassemble on Sabaody, but he has no idea when. Unless he has suddenly become a Sage character with tons of Kludge knowledge, then finding out that the only evidence of the Straw Hats being on Sabaody now was because of the Fakes would make him believe that they haven't reassembled yet.
Therefore, he has to either "just happen to run into the real ones first", or "mistake the fakes for the reals." Well, there's also the very specific situation of him running into both at the same time, perhaps during the confrontation of the two crews.
After all, he's the man with the tightest defense in the world! He won't just let the straw hats sneak off of Sabaody Archipelago on his watch!

That last part is OBVIOUSLY a plot device, but Sentoumaru can't know it's a plot device without becoming a Sage character. Therefore, I think he will either mistake them or run into the real straw hats first. Having him just start sightseeing because he got misinformation would be… awkward. He totally seems like the type of character that can act perfectly serious without having any common sense, after all.
Not that he'd ever accidentally give you information. No, he definitely just wanted you to have that info. Because he's the man with the tightest defense in the world.

I know it's a plot device. He thinks the fakes are real and will run into the real Straw Hats while at SA. I don't think he will believe the fakes are real after seeing them. The plot device was probably put in place so that the marines run into the real Straw Hats.

Really? After all these years reading OP u actually believe the SH can leave quietly? They always leave with a bang or at least with tons of people sending them off. Especially considering they are heading to NW.
I think they are going to have a fight. Got their bounty posters updated and their bounties as well. That would be a much better way to send them off to New World, rather than just "leave quietly".

Compared to the last few things we've seen, "quietly" might just be a relative term for something that isn't a worldwide incident.

I know that would be underwhelming, and it would delay showing the crew´s new skillz, but it would be kinda cool if they´d leave in a peaceful manner with the other being caught up in a brawl :D

I think leaving (relatively) quietly would be a great way to start the second half, just for the difference.
Maybe the marines notice them as they're leaving, shoot cannonballs or lasers, and we get to see a few more new abilities. Be better if we just saw the results, the dumbstruck reactions of marines/bystanders, and the crew sailing off.

well…for one thing there hasn't been any DECENT logical explanation with them bumping into sentoumaru + PX + fodder in any way. Also, SH crew has never been able showing off, they don't make a big escape just so they can get fame. Fame has never really been their top priority

It seems to me the series is going to become a bit darker from hereon. Anyone else get that feeling? My god, zoro has surpassed the human limit of gangster, with the scar and the one liner after cutting the ship. Can't wait for next chapter.

No last time we heard of him he was receiving a letter from the Marines, possibly might be a Shichibukai by mistake because the marines though he was a bigshot due to being on Roger crew and also being friends with Shanks and yes he is most likelly stronger just like any other old characters that didnt get owned during this two years.

I kinda doubt the got stronger physically (I dunno, he just doesn't seem like the "self improvement" type to me), but I would expect him to have amassed a really large crew by now.

Well he didnt improve much compared to Shanks from back when they were Cabin Boys on Roger ship still this is the actual present storyline so I see him being stronger now, still weaker then Luffy though.

(i guess they will fight maybe a bit and Sentamarou will see that Luffy is now much stronger then before.The real battle will be later in the story)-Zoro one-eyed.
