Yeah… no. They never released any of the enhanced ports outside of Japan and the fact that ToG isn't by Team Symphonia, makes it even less likely.

It's funny how some people even commented on their Facebook page about how Sega's now a better company than they are. And from the looks of it, it may not even too far from the truth, seeing as how Sega's been taking chances with the Yakuza and Valkyria Chronicles series' and found enough success and demand from the West to warrant localized releases.
You know you're doing wrong when Sega is showing more initiative than you are and delivering on titles people are asking for.

I never herd that before. But in recent times I would agree with it.
Apparently the extra epilogue script for Graces F is around 75% of that of the main game. Sounds quite substantial.

Apparently the original graces was four scriptbooks for the entire game, so there's a hell of a lot more story. Whether that equates to a lot more game or just a lot more talking is another matter I guess.
The untitled one is supposed to be some sort of 15th anniversary game. No idea whether that means it's going to be a full new game or some kind of celebration thing.

I can't believe it. Graces was said to be the longest Tales game already, and the post-game addition to PS3 Graces sounds like they almost doubled it based on voice script length. While it's true that it could just be a quarter added on because it's the PS3 and they feel like they could add in more voice than plain text, this is unbelievable. Don't tell me they've been working on this since the Wii release, too.
It's almost like getting the first half of Legendia first, then releasing the other half combined on a different platform.
On the plus side, this is like a wish granted to those who enjoyed the game so much they wished for more story.
On another note; I'm playing Tales of Innocence as we speak. There's a TON of in-game mumbo jumbo that completely flies over my head in regards to backstories and what not, but I'm still havin' fun with it.
The backstory's just so damn confusing and honestly, I couldn't care about it. But the combat system is nice and the characters are, for the most part, likable.
Also, Sanji's seiyuu plays a role as one of your party members and you fight against a character that's voice by Norio Fucking Wakamoto!

yeah, Innocence was a decent game, especially when you compare it to the hellhole that was Tales of the Tempest. the world map was pretty crappy though and it didn't completely "click" all together as a game for me. Tales of Hearts (the DS followup) was miles better. Definitely the best handheld-only RPG I've ever played.
Yeah, I'm not digging the world map at all on this. It's rather annoying trying to look where I'm going on the bottom screen for the map and not noticing monsters popping up near me on the top screen.
That's another thing. The pop-up is annoying. I don't recall what it was like with Symphonia (I honestly didn't play any Tales games prior to that, and I missed out on Abyss and Legends), but at least Vesperia was kind enough to offer a small delay when they appeared and from a decent enough distance. It's stupid turning the camera, only to have something pop up on me right in that instant.

I think it's mostly a technical thing. They went for cheap 3D in the game and the DS just isn't good for that.
I'm serious about Hearts though, they had the right idea (sprites on 3D environments) and executed it flawlessly. If there's ever an English patch I highly highly recommend it. One of the best games in the series.

A very depressing trailer.
So I imported Narikiri Dungeon X and Tales of VS a few weeks ago and have been playing them a lot, mostly Narikiri.
Don't have much of an opinion to list about VS as I'm not very good at 4-player fighters like SSB but it seems okay to me.
Narikiri on the other hand is surprisingly good, the battle system is nice and responsive and it's pretty fun to try out all the different classes. They also wisely chose to simply recreate all the Phantasia dungeons and locations in 3D rather than go the random dungeon route from Radiant Mythology, and they also reuse the time travel concept to maximize the return on towns and such–if you visit the same town in multiple eras it will have different stock in the stores. As usual all the sprites are recycled from earlier 2D games but they're all well-animated and smooth. Managing equipment can be a headache. You have the usual 12-20 weapons per type but instead of being 7-8 types for all the main characters there's more like 15 types due to all the classes. You'll have to do a lot of grinding to get money to complete the weapon index, although they also leave a ton of chests around the dungeons with equipment. All in all I'm pleasantly surprised so far.
Tales of Graces F (PS3 port) set for Japanese release on the 2nd of December 2010. Free demo will be up on the Japanese PSN sometime later this month probably (after Tokyo Game Show).

I finally completed Vesperia the other night, which has been lying on my shelf forever(I rarely have time to play games except on my commute these days).
Fan-frigging-tastic.
Just had a real blast. The story was ok(nice to have a main character for once with no self doubt or angst, just getting stuff done) but the battle system is the most fun I've had in tales game ever.
Surprised about the lack of spirit summons but I think it comes out by far the better for it. Overlimits & fatal strikes were very fun.
Good stuff all round.

Really was a good game I don't understand why so many complained about it. I was actually thinking earlier that it would be interesting if the new phantasy star online had a similar battle system but lock on targeting in an open world instead of side scrolling. Would work well with the weapon change system from phantasy star universe.

Oh seeing it's nice to see a video of Yuri. When my sister and I played the game and when I got the double Azure Edge for Yuri, my sister and me always thought he said "Your mother!" until we found out he said "Another!" or something along those lines.

The Radiant Mythology 3 site is trickling out information here and there, mostly releasing the names of new playable characters. However, they did reveal that the dungeons in the game would be a more top-down wide angle view than in the first two games, so it resembles playing one of flagship games much more this time.
Also, I think a playable demo for Graces PS3 is hitting PSN in early October. Should be exciting (the game comes out in December I believe).

I think the Abyss port for the 3ds is possible. Abyss has a large fan base in the States I do believe.

I can really argument with Symphonia and Vesperia.
1. I think Symphonia(Ps2) and Vesperia (Ps3) would have the problem that they we're shipped to the states when they were on gamecube and Xbox360. I think that Nintdeo and Microsoft would have some say that their consle exlusies were on a diffent consle.
Personly if they were going to release Graces to the states, I think the PS3 version would do better. Still I agree with you Tsukento.
I don't see how there'd be an issue with the alternate versions being released here if they got alternate Japanese releases. It's not the first time where "exclusive" titles for Nintendo's and MS' consoles got ports on a Sony platform.
Resident Evil 4 and Mass Effect 2 are good examples of this (yeah yeah, ME2 was on the PC too, but I'm countin' consoles only here) where they were heavily touted as being exclusive to the GameCube and Xbox 360. Later on, they get ported to the PlayStation 2 and 3.
Honestly, it all comes down to Namco-Bandai being assholes. When evidence was presented that Patty's data was found inside of Vesperia on the 360, they tried denying there being anything. Yet examining around the lighthouse in Capua Torrim would reveal you finding a pirate hat that belongs to "Pa-" but being incapable of reading the rest. They pretty much bitch when sales aren't too good, but don't even put in an effort with their releases.

The consoles here don't have an extreme shift in terms of demographics the way Japan does. I think in the vast majority of cases, a port to a different system (particularly console to console) is going to have significantly fewer sales because most people that want it already played it on the original system. Vesperia on 360 was a gamble in Japan because NOBODY buys 360 in Japan. When they ported it to PS3, big surprise, they cashed in. I don't disagree that Bamco America have totally bungled their handling of the series, but not releasing the slightly-fleshed-out ports is far from their biggest problem.
Well so far it's just been Symphonia and Vesperia in that case. But yeah, not releasing the others is definitely worse. Especially in the case of Graces.

It's even got Namco's logo on the box as the publisher (front and back), with Nintendo's no where to be seen. Only the PAL version was published by Nintendo.

That true, but what I was talking about is that Nintendo was the one who was advertising the game. Even giving Namco money so the game can do so well. With out Nintendo's help to bringing Symphonia over to states the Tales of series would not be as poplar as it is in the states. I know that Destiny and Eternia came out before in the states, but I never heard heard of them. The two were games that fell into the shadows.
Also that Symphonia is the only Tales of games that I have seen that have more then one or two advertisements. So even though Nintendo was not the publisher they were one the big reasons why Symphonia came to the states and the reason why Namco chose to bring more Tales of games to the states.
Tales of Graces F is within 2-3 weeks of release in Japan and a bunch more details are coming out. Looks like aside from just adding the epilogue and more abilities/hi-ougi/dungeons, they're attempting to offer lots of visual customizability to maybe make it more interesting to people who already played the Wii version? For example, special "attachment" accessories that show up on your character models (goofy hats, bags, plush Sophies, etc) some of which are pay DLC. More pay DLC in the form of crossover costumes for characters from Code Geass, Hatsune Miku, bla bla bla. You'd have to pay ME to use that crap but whatever. Also, free downloadable date-sensitive (i.e. holidays) chat sequences.
Anyways, seems like a ton of stuff in addition to the regular game, so I'm looking forward to a seriously packed release in a few weeks. Should be good.

Nope, no sequel to Abyss. They've only ever made one honest-to-goodness sequel (Tales of Destiny 2) and a few spinoffs.
Tales of the Abyss is rumored to be getting a port to the 3DS however.
I hope they add something that would make me buy it. I'm thinking they will have a Asch mode like they did for Loin in the remakes of Destiny.

Other then that, I think the Abyss will get the same treatment of a port like many of the Tales games. Like getting more costume items, new arts, new Dungeon.
Graces F just came out in Japan and my copy is on the way. Developer expectations (lol) with the new scenario added are 60 hours for the main story, 100+ for completionists. Should be fun.
Meanwhile, the previously mentioned "next Tales game" for PS3 has had a website counter until its official unveiling that is now under two weeks away.
