This is what I went for in the beginning so I have been right so far so I'll finish it off and say Robin and Bepo will win

We basically have the same picks. Except… I say Hanny over Hiriluk. Pity the next match can't just last like the 1 hour it'll take Whitebeard to quake all over Ryuuma.

I think the bigger question is, is why do YOU like the villians!

Villians ruin the world… It makes our lives hell. Why vote for the people who suck so hard when you can vote for the people who do right by others :D

yea i wish their was a match fast forward option. But that'd create problems with supporters.

When there is a set schedual people plan their campaigns around those times as well as their time active in the forums. If the admin suddenly rush tomorrows tournament just becuase its a land slide today then people who want to campaign kuma/sengoku may not be ready. Then they'd blame the admin/mods for their loss of votes ect.

It'd be AP hell. Best to just let each match play out its duration. If you know its a landslide then lurk some where else for the day. Or go outside :D. I heard thats healthy for you. :happy:

Everybody likes a good villain. ;) Without the villains what would our favorite heroines do? Just waltz through the story unopposed. Lol, I don't think there would be a story without the villains.

^ Yup, villains are necessary and realistic. and besides, this isn't a "Who is the most compassionate, generous character tournament." Villains can be just as unique and interesting as the good guys. and as Oda shows us, there's always more to something or someone than two sides, black and white. Crocodile, Akainu, Arlong, etc… they are more complicated than just "I'm evil" and sometimes people think sadists or sinister character rock. that's just how it is.

So I was planning to think of some campaigns for Ryuuma. I know it's impossible for him to win, but I wanted to fight the entire time like Makino did.

Sadly, a mixture of real life and complete laziness got in the way of me making real campaigns.

Some of my ideas included:

Ryuuma and Brook teaming up against the mustache men since Brook is facing Roger.
A picture with Ryuuma and a 1KO slice kill to Dragon. And by Dragon I mean that dragon picture with Monkey D. Dragon's face photoshopped on, for the Enel fans.
Another involved Ryuuma wearing a crown ,since he's a King.
Even though it's unoriginal, another involved photoshopping Ryuuma's face on Squad like that picture with Makino.
One involved showing that Ryuuma has depth, pointing out his comedic points in his One Shot.
A joke involving Ryuuma knowing the importance of touching sheaths, but all I got were dirty jokes that I don't think would've helped that much.

I also wanted to reread the Zombie Ryuuma chapters but never got to it. I doubt I could read it all, come up with interesting ideas, and make campaigns before the match starts. Oh well. At least I have my avatar(Ryuuma when he was alive)

So out of curiosity, besides Luffy, who do you guys seriously think stands a chance against Whitebeard? I mean, he can't rape EVERY character no problem, can he? that would be no fun.

I love the OP villains, but sometimes its fun to watch them get their asses handed to them. Hell, I loved Lucci, but watching him get pounded by Luffy's Gear 3rd was very satisfying XD

Hm….maybe Garp or Crocodile, but Whitebeard certainly got much more popularity than from last year due to the war.

Garp has had a pretty easy time of it thus far though. I think if Croc can manage to defeat Bon, he'll either gain more support, or have a bunch of butthurt people anti-campaign him out of bitterness.

I hope nobody kills me, but could Moria potentially be a "dark horse" here?

Garp has smooth sailing so far. I like the fact that he's loved within the forum majority.

Let's see….at the time of that match....it was between Chapter 555, Oars and Kasa and Chapter 556, Justice will Prevail. So the war had begun, but I guess WB hadn't done anything too worthy yet.

Really weird....I actually joined the forum around that time. (I couldn't vote, lol)

Having trouble uploading pictures on photobucket. Plus, I use Adobe Photo Shop for my campaigns, and right now I have only access to my laptop, which doesn't have it.

On second thought, Ryuuma shouldn't be getting any pity votes. He's just too prideful for that. Plus it's Whitebeard. Honestly, it's his year. So I'm just going to drop teh campaigning for Ryuuma. In fact, let's make it a shut out. Nobody should vote for Ryuuma. We should have one this tournament, and this match is probably the ONLY opportunity to do it. So let's go for it everybody!

I briefly glanced at last year's tournament thread, so I know the final match, but based on the buzz Whitebeard is getting this year, I feel like the odds of getting the exact same finals match is very slim.

I agree, mainly because people don't want the same final match.

Hell, Luffy and Zoro are #1 and #2 on my Straw Hat/overall character ranking, and even I don't want a final match with those two. I want this year to be a little different.

I'll admit, Franky's current antics are amusing me greatly. His face being blown off made me laugh for 2 minutes straight (morbid sense of humor ftw).

But he had some bad luck this year….being up against the main character in round 1.

Okay, now that Smoker's match is over, we've got Ryuuma vs. Whitebeard!! It would be so funny if I ended up being the one vote for the zombie samurai, but that isn't happening (… right?). My suggestion is to appeal to people's love of zombies. It's a growing trend, much more than shitty, sparkling vampires (damn them for ruining the appeal of a great mythical creature). Jump on the zombie bandwagon today!! It's the best shot we've got at slightly mitigating the slaughter.

Not gona happen. Franky has already said there are weapons plans AND Human Cell Research in that specific lab. So he'll probably have everything he needs to re-cultivate his cell tissue.

Now, regarding Kuma vs. Sengoku… I'll admit I liked Kuma better during Thriller Bark, but truthfully, the real reason why Sengoku is getting my vote is because of that recent chapter cover where he's making the pouty face at Garp.

Personally I think Kuma will beat Sengoku, mainly because he's done more (like defeat the whole crew in a chapter and a page) than Sengoku, and I find Kuma's power to be really cool.

But I'll give Sengoku points for his unexpected DF, and banter with Garp.
