@brennen.exe:
According to Crocus' and Shakky's explanation, they don't converge. Shakky said in 498 that the other six paths all run into the Red Line and have to go to Saboady to get through.
@Darkstorm:
Huh.
So they could indeed just bypass FI altogether.
@brennen.exe:
Yeah. It's interesting to think that stopping there could change their route completely though, so it makes me wonder how Oda will handle the island, given it's a tourist attraction and all.
How so? Regarding them just bypassing Fishman Island. Shakky herself said they all come here (Sabaody Archipelago) to get to the New World. That's by going through Fishman Island.
!
Say there are alternative methods of crossing the Red Line. You could get that assumption from here.
!
Why wouldn't the Supernova's just use those alternatives which would be closer to their stops? Instead they travel all the way to Sabaody Archipelago which makes it seem like Fishman Island is the only possible route for pirates. It'd be something if the alternative method involved climbing over the Red Line which would require a badassedry level on par with Fisher Tiger.
!
And that would also mean leaving your ship behind so I can see that explaining why all the Supernovas purposely converge on one point instead of taking an alternative.

I was reading some of Stephen's scripts and i came across this :

You really want to hit up the Grand Line with only five?
Failure to be prepared for what's ahead will be fatal!
Luffy: Hey, we can still get new members on the Grand Line!
That's why they call it "Paradise"!
Sanji: "Paradise"? Don't you mean "Pirate's Grave"?!
Luffy: Before we left the restaurant the owner guy told me,
There are guys who call the Grand Line a "paradise," too!!
Heeheeheehee!!
Isn't this what people of the New World call the first half of the Grandline ?
I believe you're referring to this.
!
And correct if I'm wrong but you're implying Oda planned out the first half of the Grand Line to be called "Paradise" years and years and years back right? Somebody already pointed this out and I forgot what was used to disprove it (something about different terms used) but I think it's still up in the air. :ninja:
Edit: Apparently it's not up in the air…>_>
