Do you mean definite articles, perhaps? One other odd thing that comes to mind for me is that there's no he/she in Finnish, only hän which is a personal pronoun and doesn't specify either gender

Finnish people actually say "se" (=it) when talking about other people. It should be only used when speaking about animals and things, but… No one cares.
I've studied quite many languages, but I'm not sure which is actually the hardest. It's not japanese. Chinese is damn hard to pronounce, but the words don't "change" like in finnish... But Japanese and Chinese have kanji.
Russian is annoying because of the writing and pronouncing mostly... And German is just something you have to study well once, and then you can speak it. English is quite easy (at least to understand). Swedish is probably one of the easiest languages (for me) to learn because, well, it's my country's second language, and I hear it so often.
I would love to learn Danish, but just trying to speak it feels like throwing up. Hmm.
