I don't usually laugh at One Piece, but damn, I laughed hard in Franky's flashback
Good chapter, can't wait for the next one
@Devil:
Just read the chapter. Very weird, not sure what to think.
-Zoro does not even seem interested in Mihawk?
-Nami steals from those who've taken care of her?
-Franky blows up the people's treasured lab which contains priceless blueprints?
-Brook is an incompetent idiot
I really don't care for Brook, btw.
-Zoro is still not at the level of Mihawk, they both know it, besides, even if they were, Zoro wants to find Luffy as soon as possible, he isn't in the condition or situation to face Mihawk
-Nami is in urgency, and she's always been like that
-He destroyed it to destroy the ice surrounding it, I assume
-Indeed
@Phoenix:
Brooke is a genius. He found his way back to SA. He's now on his way to be sold off at one of the SA slave auctions.
Didn't even think of that
Brilliant
But wait, wouldn't that mean Luffy would have to punch a Tenryuubito… AGAIN?
@brennen.exe:
Speaking of the [[URL="http://mangastream.com/read/one_piece/91854766/2"]cover page], Urouge pointed out that the bonsai plant Akainu is trimming has "Justice" written on it, and almost all the branches are cut off. Deep meaning, or just coincidentally bad trimming job?
I'm not a bonsai expert, but I assume he's cutting all the branches so that the Bonsai can grow without any problems
The true meaning of Absolute Justice, cutting a few things to do what you need to do
@KiShiDo:
Well nobody thinks that this chapter shows us that the anime wasn't canon after all…
Nami was once again at the sky island = in the anime she ad the old geezer already went down
In- and outside of the lab there were marines protecting it = In the anime there was no sogn of any marine and Franky simply went in
But the others could go the way the anime showed it.
Next chapter will be interesting... For story telling it could be very important with Sanji and Robin having connections to the revolutinaries... but personally it could be a drama for me character wise.
But well we will see... I hope Sabo will be hinted, mentioned or whatever. I could see he is the one telling the news about Luffy to her...
No, she said she wanted to go with him up and live with him until they arrive at SA, derp
And they weren't guarding outside, in the flashback with the old man in the manga, you can clearly see that no one is guarding it.
They just started guarding it when the alarm sounded
The anime is right, get over it
@JERK:
Akainu is a really fantastic antagonist.
I always hate when these types of stories have villains who are deep down cowardly and stuff, like every damned Redwall book for instance, and most of the worst Star Wars spin-offs.
But Akainu is anything but, he's 100% confident in his psycho fascism, and charged a guy much stronger then him (Whitebeard) like it was nothing. And in a series like One Piece, he's the first guy to straight up kill someone in non-flashback form, and not just anyone, he killed Ace.
The idea of Luffy having to go against him for real is just…..damn.
What an incredible foe, I both think he's cool and want to see Luffy destroy him at the same time.
Although I love Akainu, I'm sick of the exact opposite, bishie characters that can destroy everything in their way and shit.
Sure, Akainu isn't bishie and overpowered, but still, cowardly characters in this type of manga as final bosses (hint hint, Blackbeard) are a gift
@onemoment:
I don't get all the "moria is dead" posts when Mihawk's little read on that article went like "is he dead? Who knows?" It's vague and, dead or alive, we'll be hearing about this incident again.
Unless it's to annoy a certain set of people, in which case it's kind of funny. Everyone in this chapter was awesome though. I missed in the spoilers that the baboons actually had the strength to stand after taking a zoro attack. Damn, that's some kind of power.
Read no further than:
@JERK:
Mihawk was just saying that it was weird that Moria apparently died when he didn't see him dead by the end of the battle.
Which is just him being suspicious of how Moria died.
