Hey, I actually liked this chapter guys. I know you all hate Jellal/Gerard, but you can't argue that it doesn't make sense that there is a third Gerard, because now we have copies of all the characters.

Although Mistgun being a prince is a little shitty, lol. Not like I care that much either way. I would like to see him get a better battle than this though.

Best part of the chapter was the three Dragon Slayers together. I hope to see more battles like this in the future.

The anime episode was pretty nice overall too.

The minute we knew there was an alternate world it was obvious that Mystogan was Edo Gerald. I don't see why this is a surprise at all.

On another note. Seeing Mystogan defeated and what Gildartz looks like now. It just reminds me of what Zero said in the last arc. Only a dragon can beat a dragon. This seems kinda lame.

Just means no matter how powerful a mage you are you got no chance against dragons. Unless you know some of the magic they teach.

Granted the dragon armor is supposed to nullify magic, namely Edoras magic. Having actual dragonslayer magic work is a BS explanation that I'm willing to buy with this chapter. Still more enjoyable than the previous weeks.

I found that to be a little weird, the thing can nullify magic yet DS magic isn't nullified….ok, i'll play along with that mashima. I guess DS magic has a resistance to nullification if that's even possible to do.

Seeing the dragonslayer trio team up on it was kinda cool

I quit on this show several months back after watching about 4-5 episodes but I am thinking about trying to re-watch it now that I am done with Lost.

Does this show have its serious points like Naruto and One Piece or is pretty much like Gintama and more of a comedy?

This should just be in the Fairy Tail discussion thread… To answer the question: it's a mediocre but more serious shonen with humorous elements (like One Piece but pulled off only slightly better than Naruto). Also fanservice

Ah, well Fairy Tail is definitely better than Naruto. Haven't seen the spoilers but the recent shenanigans with kyuubi, and mommy incest undertones… I was trying to compare FT to well known manga/anime, and while it has some similarities to OP, it's told in a very mediocre manner, putting it closer to Naruto than OP. Compared to the big 3 though, it'd only be worse than OP; Naruto and Bleach can't sink much lower, whereas FT at least remains floating at the same level of mediocrity it started with.

I wouldn't say good, but not bad either. Generic upbeat j-pop.
They focused a lot on Fried's glyph stuff it seemed like. And pretty much giving away each of the fights in the Luxus arc in terms of matchup (except Mira's, but they implied she'd actually fight with generic shonen powerup stance). And showing Mistgun with blue hair is such a giveaway during the TOP arc imo… They also had the master in that one pose from the Luxus arc finale, though without the context that's not much of a spoiler, at least not as much a Gazille and Natsu vs Luxus.

That episode last night was decent. Kudo's to the anime making the tower look much more interesting than it did in the manga.
Fukurou, Viladas and Ikaruga's V.A's were all good and very fitting to their characters IMO. I especially liked Viladas engrish "Go To Hell!"

Actually he said it quite perfectly there was a little bit of an r in there but not very much. It was like " Go to Hellrr"

Just finished Chapter 117. Overall, this is a mediocre series. :\ The villains are extremely cookie cutter, and the main characters are fairly generic. However, I'm enjoying the Festival arc, largely because we get to see more of the sub-characters. (Though I would've liked more Kana. :p)Other than that, its just a series with great potential, but terrible execution.
