Training in between the folds of time?
Felch Discussion Part 3
-
-
you know what I mean. I don't care to remember what Kubo names all his shit, but where his dad and him are training right now.
Time is near absent for them right?
basically meaning that a training session can be whipped up and Ichigo can transport in at the right moment to save a friend
-
@Kairouseki:
Training in between the folds of time?
He's talking about the the Precipice world
!
and what a disaster it is.
I'm sure someone's already mentioned this. but how many bets on Aizen killed the "inter-dimensional monster thing" for the sole purpose of knowing Ichigo will train in-between the folds of time?
and then revealing it was all his plan later on after Ichigo unsuccessfully uses his new Getsuga?
The trolling has only begun
I can see that coming. Really! And if that happens, the mods should just delete this thread then.
-
I just realised I've reads over 3200 pages of Bleach in a very small time period .
And it's realy incredible just how big a portion of that I had to force myself through .
-
@Furnace:

yeah that!
I can see that coming. Really! And if that happens, the mods should delete this thread then.
Oh it's GOING to happen. It'll take another whole manga series to wipe that smirk off Aizen's face.
But keep the thread. It's fun to make fun of how great this series is :ninja:
-
At this point, Kubo can restore his manga pride-if he had any- by reintroducing Kenpachi in the next chapter. Its been a while since we have seen anything from Hueco Mundo
-
The good news is at least it's fun to make fun of Bleach's shortcomings and stupidity. I mean, I stopped visiting the Naruto thread long ago when no one…you know, wanted to talk about how bad/good/indifferent Naruto was. (we really need a "free-for-all thread" sort of like what they have in each NF board for people to just do stupid stuff so the Naruto thread can just stay a Naruto thread...maybe with slight divergence but at least without becoming as stupid or chaotic)
So where were we...oh yeah: the fact that Aizen is still doing a bad Mori Koran impersonation even though he's not my avatar anymore.
-
Wait what? There aren't two Bankais. Ulquiorra is the only one with a second release.
Bankai is more necessary in the current storyline than it was at first because the enemies are only getting stronger. Plus in FKT we got to see plenty of Shikai action from Yamamoto, Aizen, Urahara, Shinji, Love, Rose, Hiyori, Lisa, Ukitake, Kyoraku, Soi Fon, Hisagi, Matsumoto, Kira, Hinamori, Omaeda, and Yumichika. We only got to see Bankai action from Ichigo, Gin, Kensei, although we only got to see the release in that case, Hitsugaya, Soi Fon, and Komamura.
That's seventeen Shikais vs. six Bankais.
Kenpachi fighting the same way over and over again gets stale.
As said before me… there aren't two Bankai. And to be honest, I don't really feel most of the fights in Bleach go this way. But even if they do it's still not that bad... because there's a lot of variety into the formula inbetween, plus the shikai powers keep it interesting.
And Kenpachi is cool, but that aspect of him isn't what makes him cool. It's nice seeing a raw fighter, but at the same time we read manga to see something "magic". That's what Bleach is about... the magic swords. While him using two hands and getting stronger was indeed hilarious, and quite the interesting moment for Kubo, interesting Shikai and Bankai are much more fufilling.
In response to my saying Bankai and DF are the same... People are always complaining about how much they hate when characters have DF's. It was really crazy on here when it turned out Whitebeard had one. Which is stupid to me. DF's are special abilities that are pretty cool. While the occasional super strong human is nice, I'd much prefer the have DFs. Because... like with swords in Bleach, it's a staple of power in the OP world.
BTW if you hate magic swords so much, why are you reading Bleach? I mean, seriously. Whenever Shikai's first showed up should've been your warning point. Go read one of those Samurai manga. Where people fight with normal swords, and the story suffers because the fights are simply that boring.
There aren't two Bankais/Resurrecions what meant is:
They start a fight normally->first character Bankai/Resurrecion->Second character Bankai/resurection->End.
Forgot to put the characters part.Stupid me
I don't care about the number of Bankais not reaveled because i know that it will be something that is going to be used at the end of a fight when a character is losing to help him win it.
And Shikais are the same thing now because they are used as a last resort to win the fight and i hate that, start using then in the beginning i don't why they only use it only when they are losing even some characters refuse to use their Bankais for no reason and they lose. If you have swords with super powerfull magic USE IT!!!!! At least Ichigo is always using his Bankai now, but his Bankai is boring so yeah…...And don't get me wrong i like magic swords and stuff like that some of the powers are cool but in Bleach i think its not used propely in my oppinion, and i still read Bleach because i like most characters besides the villains and Ichigo.

I agree with you.

I don't know im betting that Tatsuki and Keigo gaining new powers will also be part of Aizen plans he knew Ichigo's influence on them and it was because of that influence that Inoue gained her ultra powers.
Soooo 2 more rescue arcs.

You know what's real sad ? Last time we saw those character was in 2006 . Reading Bleach backwards is like having a time machine :ninja:

Who Keigo and Tatsuki? I'm fine with seeing them both in next chapters but not Orihime, a completely useless character. I'd prefer going back to Hueco Mundo.
As far as i have read, there are going to be two arcs after this one finishes(when it finishes). One would be Isshin's arc followed by a final major arc. Seeing Kubo's arc lengths, i can say two years for Isshin's arc and 5 or 6 years for the final one. Also, I read somewhere that Kubo doesn't intend to write a flashback regarding Aizen
-
"Who ever said that i had a traumatizing childhood that made me this way?"
-
Aizen doesn't have any motive for all this other than ''More power, hee hee hee'', does he? Can Kubo at least offer an explain as to why he's so ludicrously powerful beyond ''lol Hogyoku'' or is even that too much for him?

Did Kubo ever explained how Shinigami get their swords?
Aizen must have been lucky, he got a sweet deal.
-
This arc is a long one in his book , right ? :O
-
Yep, this arc is has been going on for four years and counting
-

You mean the Fake Karakura arc?
-
Well no that begins in 315 , but it's prety much blended in with the Hueco Mundo arc , which begins in 240 and , as far as Kubo is to have said somehwere , he considers events before that to be part of this arc too .
It was mentioned in here somewhere which is the suposed start , I think around 180-ish but I could be wrong .
@ killerbee1000 : what I meant by that is I hope he doesn't consider this arc short , I mean , it's Kubo :ninja:

Imo Hueco Mundo was one arc itself, followed with the fake Karakura Town arc. If Kubo said that, then its fine probably. Heck, I have read people saying that these two pages with initial footsteps, mark the beginning of a new arc, lol!

If there wasn't the "deicide" thing I would even say it's possible lol
Also at what point does Aizen mention the whole "dispose of the Spirit King" thing ? I read down to 237 and not one bloody mention in series .
-
yeah tell me what chapter the last arc started on. I want to make a funny .gif

As far as i remember, Aizen always implied on defeating the soul society.
It was probably Yama who introduced the idea that Aizen wants to kill the Soul King after making the Royal key. Here it is.!
However, what Aizen says is to make the Ouken and defeat the Soul Society. Probably soul society here includes the King's dimension too.
Chapter 314.
!
And again in the same chapter.
!
So as far as my memory goes, Aizen didnt mention the Soul King. It was probably Ymamoto who came up with the reference. Still its pretty much obvious that he's creating the Ouken for no other reason than going into King's dimension and probably kill him.
Im not sure of it totally so if anyone finds Aizen's reference of Aizen mentioning the King, then do mention.

I just want to say that I love this thread and all the amazing things that are discussed. I'm so glad that I'm not the only person that thinks Orihime is useless. Also, I really want to know what is going on in HM… Like what the fuck is going on there? Are they still fighting? dfsfdsfdsf
-
That comic quoted you word for word, man. I couldn't help seeing it that way.
Haha! I'm glad you did.
Oh, and by the way, I'm just going to randomly assume here, without looking, that all the diarrhea from the Naruto thread has been moved to the Bleach thread, thanks to exe and the Naruto IX kids, right?
-
No , we aren't to use this thread for that king fot thing , it's two pages back .
I just had this fun idea : what if ….Aizen IS the Spirit King ? :ninja:

Nah, Orihime isn't useless. I think of her a bit like Puar: once upon a time she had something interesting and fun but later she's "just there".
-
@Cyan:
Save Kenpachi.
He gets bankai, the series implodes onto itself.
This would actually be the only way to actually end this series in an awesome way. The sad thing, I'm not even kidding.
-
Problem is Kubo had her go all about how she's gonna make the Hougyoukou return so far back till it never existed , which seems like a legit way to one up Aizen right now…..but , in all honesty , he HAS forgotten about that .
By the way that page with Yamamoto actualy gives off the ilusion that Bleach is somehow good .
Add to that the fact Yamamoto is now dead thanks to Mullet-head and you know the reason I think this series is at the bottom of the sewer .
Don't get me wrong , when Meruem killed Netero I still got pissed off because he was suposed to be far more usefull then that....but at least his death was somehow poetic and did manage to kill the king , almost , had it not been for Totem head and Squeaky abomination Fairy .
In a lot of ways Togashi and Kubo are very similar to each other . Especialy these real long running arcs they have . Only diference is Kubo has been actualy drawing all this time , but…...they are about the same way there (Togashi actualy may be ahead of Kubo by whatever amount of padding he wants to add to this series) .

Kubo: thousands of chapters and no plot progression
togashi: 200 chapters of pure plot progression, character development and world development
togashi is not like kubo. Just because he has a long running arc doesn't make him the same.
-
isn't that still being useless?
To be useless is to do literally nothing…ever. Puar and Orihime boht did some nice stuff early on.
-
@Tokoro:

oh alright so there basically borderline useless than.

So is the new arc called "Real Karakura Arc"?
And it annoys me that it's "Decide 11", cant think of a better title, Kubo -

Pretty much. Useless is, say, Tenten: a cute design that went nowhere because Kishi willed it so. Orihime at least will always have her weird stuff in the early arcs.
-

It means, "Killing God" or "God Killer".
The exact opposite of what's been really happening.
-
@Cyan:
That makes Chad Yamcha, then.
Chad at least won a fight on his own, so he's a step above Yamcha.

Yamcha won once too…even if it needed Roshi's nosebleed to see his opponent.
-
@Tokoro:

"On his own" were the key words in my statement. Plus, you could make the argument that he won more than one fight if you count the first hollow he fought in Karakura Town (and the first hollow he fought in Hueco Mundo).
-
@No:
Well considering this guy would have an organised army of hollows , I think that would be something to look out for .
Granted Kubo didn't even think of this before Karakura arc but it's like "You know these things you're suposed to fight againt ? They have a king and a huge army , so let's never mention it again ."
Thing is, the higher-level Hollows (Adjuchas and Vastro Lorde) only ever bother with other higher-level Hollows, on account of the way that Hollow power progression works.
When Vastro Lordes were first mentioned, it was only ever as a hypothetical. Like one of those things like black holes that are scary as hell to think about, but the actual chances of ever seeing one are nonexistent.
Soul Society intelligence probably managed to confirm their existance, but actually going in Hueco Mundo and taking a survey runs the risks of catching the eye of the horrors that lurk there and then leading them back home. As it was. very few of the Espada would have posed any actual threat to Soul Society on their own.
Szayel's the only one that really comes to mind because of his experimenting and shit. But Nnoitora? Grimmjow? They may have been battle-mad, but they kept that shit to their own personal hellhole.
To put it short, it's like seeing a wasp's nest. You know it's there and keep wary of it, but it's no actual danger to you unless you actually go and poke it with a stick.
There aren't two Bankais/Resurrecions what meant is:
They start a fight normally->first character Bankai/Resurrecion->Second character Bankai/resurection->End.
Kubo probably gets this from Saint Seiya, where the major battle progression (expecially in the movies) went:
fight normally -> enemy shows their true power and kicks Seiya's ass -> GOLD CLOTH OF SAGITTARIUS -> end
But it's a general problem that arises in any series where characters have multiple transformations, it's just that some handle it better than others.
-

I'm dissapointed we haven't come across a Vasto Lorde yet (although you could argue one or two members of the Espada might have been one) and I'll be surprised if they're not shown at all after being mentioned. Wonderwiess being one is pretty much a given IMO, it was definitely his sillouette that was shown when Hitsugaya first spoke of them. Hasen't Aizen evntually got to deal with those "royal guards"/Squad 0? Maybe they've been kept back for that. I can't see Kubo writing Aizen and Gin taking them all on… sorry if I got anything wrong there btw :happy:
As for the latest chapter, it was trash. The panel abuse is pissing me off more than ever now, I understand sometimes it's better for characters to get a full/half a page to show a very important action, but this... sometimes I think Kubo just draws all the pictures first and then just slaps a few small sticky notes next to the pictures containing possible text. Speaking about his art, I thought Tensa Zangetsu looked really cool… but that was because he looked exactly the same as a few other characters I liked:
First Panel, Ichigo looks EXACTLY like Hitsugaya!!!
First Panel, Looks like Byakuya ; Last Panel, Looks like Ulquiorra
Kubo's without a doubt a brilliant artist when he puts effort into his work, but I really feel it's hit a limit.

I thought the exact same thing. Especially that first one. I swear I thought we were jumping to a scene showing Hitsugaya recovering or something, and then I realized it was Ichigo.
-
Kubo needs to get that two headed ROC (this is a giant bird in the d&d universe) into this manga…. I just want to see more weird shit.
-
@ Zenigame : I understand that , just it seems when battling hollows is (was) the point of this series , then ignoring the big cheese seems mightily silly . That's like if Meruem suddenly popped up in the middle of the ant arc without any prior mention .
-
I wonder if we are ever going to see Vasto Lorde. The thing I don't get is even if Ulquiorra was a Vasto Lorde, why was he Espada 4 and not Espada 1 or 0???
-
I wonder if we are ever going to see Vasto Lorde. The thing I don't get is even if Ulquiorra was a Vasto Lorde, why was he Espada 4 and not Espada 1 or 0???
Because he had not revealed most of his abilities to Aizen.
Although Aizen seems to have known about all the stuff he was hiding from him, as he purposely had Ichigo fight him supposedly.
-
Given the ammount of threat that the Vasto Lordes were assigned, I have a hard time believing any of the Espada were one.
We've been led to believe that turning into an Arrancar gave these Hollow a substantial boost to their power. To have something that scares the shit outta Soul Society to be each taken down by Soul Reapers in Bankai just doesn't match up.
I'm guessing the Vasto Lordes are chilling in their own domain either in Huerco Mundo or some other plain of existance.
