You serious? If you screw up with such a magnitude what Kishitty has been doing in his most meaningful and most significant arc then its better not to touch it at all and leave it as mystery to rich story.
Its better to not touch main plots of story at all rather than brutally raping it and destroying base of entire story with an extremely poor and rushed fashion.
As for latest Bleach its still same old bleh… Ichigo's motto seems to be 'bland'. No charecter, no unique fighting style, specializing at speed though all his enemys seem to be faster than him. Getsuga Tenshou? Its just black energy attack that gives small boost to swing, hardly cant get excited about it.
As someone said, it's great that Ichigo will get a super massive power up that doesn't come from that space between his two butt cheeks, I also see it as an excuse to once again rob us of seeing a strong character (Isshin) from releasing his bankai. I suppose I'm just assuming he has one, but really. So many "heavy hitters" have yet to even touch the big guns that they're supposed to have.

I didn't say it was good, I'm just saying Naruto is better than Bleach. Is there any crime in saying that Kishimoto at least tries compared to "well…let's just do something cool" Kubo? Besides, neither will ever touch good manga but at least Naruto has been consistantly more interesting since the island arc started.
Final getsuga is a cool pose. Pose is everything in Bleach and when Ichigo went his coolest pose yet- hollow plus pose, he could not control it. And since all his other attacks have became dull already they don't make a cool pose and were no match for others' poses. He needs new and thus neckstranglingly powerful pose ahem attack.
