@AlmostLegendary:
I said they still have to escape from the blue jam pirates and you said no they dont blah blah blah your random theory.
No, I said that just escaping the bluejam pirates would not be a satisfying end to the flashback. First, they were not even hyped into being a credible threat. Second, just escaping them wouldn't have the emotional impact that flashbacks usually have.
We haven't seen a place like the Goa anywhere in the OP world for you to say that tenyruubito only reside in that location is silly.
A place "like Goa" we haven't seen, but we have seen other kingdoms, like Lvneel, Drum and Alabasta with their own royalty that have no ties to the tenryuubito, so it stands to reason that each country has its own nobles.
And plus:
From Chapter 496:
_Hatchan: If you go into town, there will be "world royalty" walking around.
Luffy: Whoozat?
Robin: The citizens of Mariejoa._
From Chapter 497:
_Chopper: What makes them so special?!
Pappug: Dey have de blood of de Creators…
800 years ago, twenty kings banded togedder,
and formed what we call de World Government.
Deir descendants are de Celestial Dragons._
From what it seems like to me Goa is the epi center of east blue.
The only thing we know for sure is that its the most beautiful country from East Blue.
So you're going to have to give some other examples of kingdoms like Goa.
Lvneel, Drum, Alabasta?
Why does the importance of the flashback have to do with the past and not the future? we've already seen the impact of this flash back and how they've became brothers.
Because there's more to it than just that.
The sad part is their bond being broken and sabo being taken away from their trio of brothers.
It lacks the emotional depth of other flashbacks. Even Oda acknowledge this by not putting a single "DON", big panels or other visual media to show the impact of the scene. Compare Hiruluk's death, Franky being run over by Puffing Tom or the burning of Ohara. The end of this chapter did not make me all teary-eyed like most flashbacks. I know for sure Ace and Luffy won't just go "Okay, he's gone. Let's go back to the jungle." They'll go after Sabo, because that's what Luffy does for his friends and brothers. It will only end when they have no way to reach Sabo anymore.
Or are you thinking Ace and Luffy are afraid of Bluejam and that noble?
Doubtful if Luffy and Ace messed with a tenryuubito at such an early age I highly doubt they would have grown up.
That's something we are yet to see, so don't judge things so quickly.
???/ Understand luffy's suffering better? Can you go into detail it doesn't make sense. Luffy's brother just died. Oda has shown how they became brothers. What more do you want? You're way to blood thirsty man.
We knew Robin had lost her island. But only when we saw her mother sending her away, Saul dying in front of her and her island covered by flames, with she alone in the ocean, trying to laugh but crying instead that we could understand her suffering.
Saul, Olvia, Bellmere, Hiruluk, Tom… these character were all great because Oda made us like them a lot, and then they were taken from their loved ones (and us readers), making us feel sad.
Oda never developed Ace to the point that we would feel sad for his death. We felt sad for Luffy, but we didn't feel the same as Luffy. Now Oda's going to use Sabo (and Child Ace) to make us feel like Luffy's feeling after the loss of his brother.
Once again, this doesn't mean Sabo's going to die. However, something sad (or bittersweet) will happen to him.
