Ahh, I see you were going with the pattern, not the statistic. That makes more sense.
I don't want to say that it's proof she'll join..because it isn't..it may just be part of Oda's "grand design." but it's something to think about..

I remember a silly argument against Jinbei that he couldn't join because he couldn't fit through the doors. As I was reading Thriller Bark (Volume 46) the other day I came across this
I defy anyone to say he couldn't fit through this door! it is freakin' huge!
!
Hancock has had this much 'spotlight' because she is a shichibukai.
Not because she's gonna join.
When the new and improved Nami and Robin come back nobody will even care about Hancock anymore.

None of the other warlords have had as much spotlight compared to her though. Most of them until Marineford were one-arc villians..

This is what happens when a shichibukai isn't an enemy but an ally. Expect the same with Jinbei on Gyojin island.

Crocodile outshines the fuck out of her. Meaning the only example is Moria since no one else has been dealt with in that capacity.
Zik: I will
Jerk: I should of said "currently." my bad, though I was talking in terms of females, not the warlords…and Croc to badass to be put into words..

you should have said, no Shichibukai have has development as much as her like
we know no other Shichibukai's past aside from their whining of losing to a Yonkou and Mihawk in a stalemate with his Yonkou rival
we also know nothing about other Shichibukai's family though most probably have none

the only reason he outshine anything is because he was lucky enough to be brought back to the story though i still don't see this "outshine the fuck" out of anyone aside from Moria

it only happen once so there's no trend for you to be making any claim like "this is what happen when…" and Jimbei still no develop so until then, we'll just have to wait and see

Wow, Croc sure was lucky that Oda decided to write him back in to his comic.
Whatever would he have done otherwise.

I don't need to bring up trends to think about the situation and note the differences from the others and then make an educated guess about what will happen to someone else in relatively the same position as an ally.
Ofcourse you don't have to won't believe it though.

actually there is nothing to believe, because it's something that doesn't happen yet, and can't be proven scientifically to happen and there's nothing educated about that guess either
I wonder if next week Luffy will be lucky enough to breath oxygen in the fictional world of one piece.

You do know what it means to "believe something" will happen right? and the difference between knowing it will happen?
If something has proven to be fact it doesn't matter if you believe in it or not.
Thanks for reminding me of the quality of your posts.

Since we're talking about beliefs, I think Jinbei will get a lot more development in Fishman Island. Still, I can't yet shake the feeling that his story will be more about the fishmen's and merfolk's history of prejudice and violence than about his personal tragedies. Kinda like Wiper, whose flashback was about his ancestor, Norland and the history of Skypiea and the Shandians than about himself.
The only reason he outshine anything is because he was lucky enough to be brought back to the story though i still don't see this "outshine the fuck" out of anyone aside from Moria.
"The only reason Luffy outshines anything is because he was lucky enough to be the main character." Croc was the main man behind an entire saga, was involved in a cover story, was one of the primary leaders involved in the breakout of Impel Down, and was one of the more heavily involved characters at Marineford. How does Hancock's handful of chapters even come close?
speakin 'bout Croc, I once thought that he could make a good new member to the crew.
Sadly that window is pretty much closed :(
oh well, he is bound to make an appearance at some point

I don't think his personality would fit the crew, unless you're talking about major character derailment.
you're right, it was pretty fanboyish idea anyway.
I'm pretty sure Oda could make it work though
Oda spent much of the last arc detoxifying croc and giving him a dangling plot thread.
He's going to do something with him, and it will probably be something sympathetic to Luffy.

"believe something will happen" simply mean you certain it happen unlike "think something will happen" where it mean you "think it could happen but not necessary happen"

and what did he do in his so call "arc"? planning to destroy a country, that sounded alot of "character development", he only get any drastic character development after his meeting with WB on Marineford

This has nothing to do with the irrelevant post you made before or what I just said.
You don't need something to be proven to believe it will happen. So there is something to believe will happen. You're wrong about saying there's nothing to believe.

forgot to add:
hence i said there's nothing to believe because i don't believe certainly that something will be develop for Jimbei in FI, it's likely to happen but not necessary will happen

SIGH
The fact that you say you don't believe it means there is something to believe. Furthermore, just because you don't believe it will happen doesn't mean there's nothing to believe. It's like you don't know what the act of believing consists of.
I never brought up anything about it being necessary or not either.
Oda spent much of the last arc detoxifying croc and giving him a dangling plot thread.
Detoxifying? Personally, I don't see Croc any more likable than before. He's still badass, and I think all sympathy towards him comes from that fact. Just because he didn't do anything monstrous does not make him a better person, IMO, because we don't know his motives right now.
The importance of such dangling plot thread is still up to each one's imagination, though. Croc's secret may be something huge or minor, since we have no idea of what it is.
He's going to do something with him, and it will probably be something sympathetic to Luffy.
THat he's going to do something with Croc I have no doubt, but that it would be sympathetic to Luffy? I dunno. It could go either way. Croc's been a schemer since forever. Whatever's he going to do, I don't see him losing his magnificent bastard vibe.

hm yea i did the wrong word so let me rephrase that, I dont THINK it will happen with certainty which seem to be what you believe
I want to see more from Croc, and I mean alot more, but I dont want his personality to be changed, if he "will" or "has" to help Luffy, I hope its all part of 1 of his plans.

I agree. Croc will come back someday and do something great. Until then, we can only wait.
I think Croc is badass because we get him in small doses, that seems to be the case for alot of characters imo.

We finally run out of shit to throw at each other?

I could say something to stir things up, but I've tried to not start any discussion, just reply to existing things, since people believe I'm hijacking this thread.
Sooner or later someone will appear and say something dumb or interesting and then there will be a lot of replies again.
Or someone could just take my place and post something to discuss.

I've said all that I can say that is fact in the manga. I was surprised more people didn't jump on my statement that Hancock is the third leading female as of now. I thought that start a flame war…

O.O what happened to the poll?
Schnitzels, Dr. Blackbeard and Spandam's shoe were at each's others neck at it too.
I don't think there will be a new crewmate;9 is more than enough for Oda sensei to draw…just what I thought O.o

No one besides Boa has a chance… so wen don't need a poll. if you disagree and points something against her you will be a blind hater^^

It was a pretty logical statement. I don't think anyone can deny that Hancock's role in the story has been pretty big compared to other female characters (except the Strawhat girls and Vivi).
Now with a tenryuubito appearing in Luffy's flashback, I think something related to Hancock may be revealed. I know that at that point in time she was already empress, so I doubt she would appear, but maybe some info that will matter in the present may be delivered?

Cuz it's funny how you are declared as a hater or whatever if you aren't for a certain character^^
And you still don't get one thing… No one is able to add new things in it here for more than 200 pages now^^
And this thread goes like this.
"I like Perona so much so she will join. Look at my facts"
"No dumbass… I like Boa the most so she will join. So many facts and she has so much personality and she is in love with Luffy... That's the biggest dream ever to join"
"Nooo... There is a fishman who has chances but no one is talking about him cuz he is dull and boring... and that's why he can't join! he has far less chances than an other character (even if not true)"
Someone disagrees with this.
"WTF are you talking hater. My character x has far more chances and personality than your character y. It is fact so shut up hater^^ You know why?"
I_s posting some random shit fanficiton and declaring it as fact for a joining from 100 pages ago_
But yeah people have added a lot of new stuff here for the last weeks…
But hey it is funny for the free time.

I think that might be wishful thinking, though it could happen, I doubt it will.
oh a Tenryuubito! it will show us something about Fishmen Tiger and Jinbei or Boa… even if it is LUFFY's flaschback.
But yeah Nami appeared in Zoro's flashback as well
Cuz it's funny how you are declared as a hater or whatever if you aren't for a certain character^^

This is bascially true, hopefully it will be better once the flashback is finished.
You know, I can easily rant off about why Perona will join, supplying information from the Viz Media Graphic Novels, though. However, most of you will whine, cry, and complain because I am doing what this forum seems to think is "retarded" rather than genius… So, to save you the misery of having to deal with the "AGOG POSTS" and all that other stuff that comes with it, I decided to not even try it.
Now, I am very bored and decided to stop posting much of anything since it obviously won't get anywhere...
I dont know if I want a new crew member, as amazing as Oda is, 10 main characters is starting to push it, and fitting all of them in will be tough…Also Oda has set himself up to have alot of shit to cover in the New World so a New crew member is just a burden at this point..

yea it doesn't have to show hancock or jimbei or anyone else in flashback. We never saw franky in robin's or robin in franky's yet they had a connection to each other and they weren't even same time either.
oh a Tenryuubito! it will show us something about Fishmen Tiger and Jinbei or Boa… even if it is LUFFY's flaschback.
But yeah Nami appeared in Zoro's flashback as well
this could be same tenryuubito who owned hancock or not, doesn't really matter. We don't need to know the exact person who owned her. we get even more hatred and build up for tenryuubito in this flashback. luffy may or may not know who is behind it all, it could be all just orders from this tenryuubito and luffy never saw him, but we would know.
and if say an arc comes that has hancock with SH's that are taking out tenryuubito at some point it will have emotional impact for us to see hancock whip some butt and also to see luffy whip some butt because of this flashback. they don't have to be connected so personally as many of you want it to be.
just saying learning something or seeing a tenryuubito is all Hancock for us. Just like if in this flashback we saw a poneglyph we would all think of Robin and connect it to her, even though she may have never found that one or if she did never saw luffy. We KNOW hancock and her sisters were slaves, so we can connect them to all tenryuubito and slavory as an emotional event. All fishman we have no idea, because of their mark.
so yes for arguments sake if i'm trying to argue about new member, this tenryuubito in luffy's flashback to me gives me more belief that hancock will join

I was thinking that too, but Oda does a good job of balancing the spotlight, and granted Luffy said he wanted 10 people in the first chapter, so that has to count for something.
Though Oda can change his mind..
doesn't matter if we think there is enough or not. i would be fine with only this crew right now, well would actually really want Hancock, her little quirks really crack me up. Every week curing the war i was hoping to see her even in one panal, and loved it every time she was.
but i am afraid of a bleach happening, not a naruto. oda is good that he don't forget secondaries and so not afraid of getting naruto screen time for the crewmates, but i dont' want it too big like bleach and have some 30 crew members to all have to sit through in arcs.
i was fine without hancock, but he just made me like her too much that i don't want her to part. i'd be fine without jimbei, perona, pauly, wapol, camie, margurette and many others. none of them have i really cared if they are in a chapter or not and wasn't or won't be sad when we leave them. As of now. Maybe jimbei or one of them may change that, but right now i'm fine leaving them, i woudl not be dissapoitned at all.
but like i said doesn' tmatter if we have our 10 + Luffy, people will still discuss because its the most fun thing to discuss and guess.
He said he wanted 10 crew members with him as Captain originally so that means 2 more crew members, 0_0 that would be very hard to balance, even for Oda
