It was bound to happen. Xbox Live Arcade has received a few titles from the Dreamcast's library in the past, including Rez, Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Virtual-On Oratorio. Now we have quite a few leaks from testers revealing that there's a few other titles heading to XBLA from the Dreamcast. They are as follows:
-Crazy Taxi
-Jet Grind Radio
-Quake III Arena
-Sonic Adventure
It's worth noting that Crazy Taxi has been formatted to be played properly in widescreen. Quake III Arena (which is now called Quake Arena Arcade) is basically redone and can also be played in widescreen. However, Sonic Adventure (which is based off of the DX version from the GameCube and PC) is NOT available in 16:9. Attempting to view it will display the game in a box in its native 4:3 format with a colored background covering what would normally be black bars for widescreen TVs.
Jet Grind Radio (which has reverted back to its Jet Set Radio title), has absolutely zero screenshots available right now.
Also worth noting is that Sonic Adventure has quite a few interesting additions. For one, there is a "Download" feature on the main menu. Among the list of items that was leaked, there's an "Extend Package" (har har) piece of DLC. What it is, I have no idea. The game also supposedly has 250 Gamer Score Points for Achievements. Does the package add 50 extra points? No clue. So far, the leaked list of Achievements basically can be achieved by completing the game and collecting all 130 Emblems. Here's also a look at Sonic Adventure on the 360:
(Do note that the footage was stretched due to the 360 being recorded while it was in widescreen mode while the recording was set to fullscreen, the sped up footage was also done via video editing.)
Hydro Thunder, while not being re-released, is getting a sequel. It looks absolutely fantastic and a worthy successor of the original.
Here's what we already have on XBLA that was ported over from the Dreamcast:
-Ikaruga
-Marvel vs Capcom 2
-Rez
-Soul Calibur
-Trigger Heart Exelica
-Virtual-On Oratorio
We're slowly but surely building up on titles that were once on the Dreamcast. Hopefully this will spark some hope in seeing Skies of Arcadia in HD, or ChuChu Rocket! and Alien Front returning with their online modes in-tact. And since Crazy Taxi was released virtually everywhere, here's to hoping Capcom follows suit by bringing back both Power Stone titles to the consoles, rather than being stuck on the PSP.
