Holy shit, a good Naruto chapter, I had to take some medicine at page 5 because I thought I was hallucinating because I was enjoying reading Naruto… first time for what? 3 years?
Well...GOOD chapter, I hope this keeps up.

A dumbass from the manga Fairy Tail….
Read Fairy Tail and the answers will come to you…:ninja:
Oh right, Fairy Tail. I've only been reading the English released volumes, so I haven't exactly caught up with it.
so my guess is that we that my speculation (along with other peoples) that tobi is madara but in the body of obito could be true
i got a question so the 1st is stronger than madara and everyone is wicked scared of Madara then what was third hokage like in his prime since he was supposed to be the strongest hokage
3rd > 1st > Madara who happens to scare the shit out of the ninja world and is said that in his prime he could have taken the kages at the summit arc or so says the old guy
so this leads me to believe that 3rd hokage was like the whitebeard of the naruto world

Anyone who hasn't read it yet, do it.
aw man, Junji Ito is…something, i remember being disturbed by it all and not wanting to read any of his work again...then i found myself seeking it out
so i read Gyo and The Enigma of Amigara Fault
i would say Uzumaki was probably the best for the couple moments of revulsion
! placental mushrooms, snail sex
there were several moments of the good kind of mindf***
, but Amigara is good for a short story
also the end of uzumaki, without spoiling it, felt very Lovecraftian
Kabuto is actually a good villain unlike Madara.
Ah it hasn't been that long, people are exaggerating. Bee and the Raikage are eternally fucking awesome. Jiraiya's battle was legendary and his death was fitting, that's why I object to any form of his ressurection. I'm obviously a hardcore Jiraiya fan because my username on the om forums is Jiraiyathesage lol.
@Badass:
I'm looking at a menu from a sushi place by my house… Guess what one of their special rolls is.
Spicy Tuna Naruto.
... I guess it's good when you first have it, but when you keep eating it, it starts to suck.
For those who didn't know, naruto's name comes from narutomaki a ramen ingredient that has a swirl in the center. If you think about it almost everything about naruto involves a spiral. His last name means swirl or whirlpool which could also relate to Naruto whirlpools http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naruto_whirlpools
The rasen in rasengan means spiral. If naruto was in that uzumaki manga that guy with the glasses might just blow his brains out.

Speculation and Kishi did say who was the most powerful person who is dead.(i think he said the 4th) We have just opinions from different characters. Iruka said the 3rd is the best, Jman said the 4th and Madara seems to think the 1st is god. The WB of Naruto is rikudo. The 2nd Kage is looking impressive latly too. IDK who out of the 4 is the best.

I disagree

No Luffy eats pure meat, right from the bone.
You know, Luffy should go to the Digimon world. Meat is grown like plants. He'd fucking shit himself at the sight of that.
Anyway I'm rereading Naruto to see if I can make sense of recent chapters and seemingly random Sasuke power up. The last time I seen samurai in Naruto that I remembered was during the summit, with the stormtrooper samurai. I was reading through volume 3 and found that Gato had his own hired samurai and was wondering if they were connected. Probs not though, I reckon it's more like the bandits in early One Piece, useless fodder lol.

You should reread the chaps with Madara or him being mention. Kishi seems to putting hints out that he isn't Madara. Sasuke powerup isn't random. EMS has been stated long ago
I'm reading the entire series back from the start as I'm doing with any other major series I love, so with my dissertation on the go it's going to be a couple of months possibly before I reach that point. Bear in mind I'm deliberately reading slowly by my standard because I've already caught up with my major series. Part of this rereading is to make the massive task of catching up with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure easier.
It's actually really refreshing seeing the characters grow from the start. I'm referring to the sharingan being a hax powerup when I say random btw.

Its way better reading without waiting a week. I did that with HXH and OP.
Yeah, and by the time I have caught up, my fave series will have moved on a bit, maybe by a whole arc. I really want to catch up with Jojo but it is an epic task so I need breaks with other series so I can manage the series better.
When I'm reading Jojo I have the habit of reading it in "mini-arcs", that is Araki's tendency to subsplit the Parts of the series into chapters relating to a specific character usually. For e.g the current mini-arc I am reading is "The Nijimura brothers".
The sharingan is extremely baffling. Review the powers for a second
Basic abilities: Ability to see chakra flow, precise and clear sight, ability to memorize things seen, ability to copy techniques seen (at least ones that they can perform, no summons or bloodline jutsus) and hypnotic suggestion/illusion.
Analysis: These abilities are fair and can be well connected (as Kakashi demonstrated against Zabuza) without being too overpowered as they are quite limited by the user's abilities. Plus, they relate to the eyes.
Izanagi: A world-altering illusion that can make illusion into reality (I think… correct me if I'm wrong)
Synopsis: Sticking with the illusions and limited by causing the eyes to shut permanently. Not too bad... Unless you have an armful of sharingans...
Mangekyo abilities:
Tsukiyomi: The ability to trap an opponent in an illusion world via eye contact.
Synopsis: It's based in the illusion stuff that the Sharingan grants you, so it's fine and isn't broken due to the limited use...
Amaterasu: A fire that consumes all and cannot be extinguished.
Synopsis: The only thing keeping this from being completely out of nowhere is the Uchiha link to fire and the eye contact requirement. At least it still is limited by the same things as Tsukiyomi...
Susanoo: A giant chakra spirit that wrecks shit.
Synopsis:
! fFRXWT74WMI&autoplay=1
Infinite Sharingan: Grants the user the ability to use mangekyou abilities without going blind.
Synopsis: I'm out of here…
Oh, and for bonus points, guess the two abilities that have gotten the most use lately...
Edit: How could I forget Kakashi's bullshit space/time warp thing? Well, you can probably imagine how it fits into the scheme of things... not very well.
Thank you Wagomu you answered the question about random powers.
Despite my problem with current Sasuke I understand why the series comes dwn to him and Naruto, it comes down to inheritors to the will of Rikudou Sennin, described above as Naruto's Whitebeard. So long as I see some decent secondary characters have more time in the sun as they did in the Sasuke retrieval arc, I will be happy.
Yeah, your post tempted me to put it all side by side, haha.
Going by your list there Wagomu most of those abilities look reasonable. I suppose copying the abilities of others could eventually result in a deadlock, despite Kakashi being able to surpass Zabuza's own abilities. The last one- the infinite ms makes little sense. For a start the ms was supposed to be rare in the Uchiha clan anyway. Why is the techniqe then able to evolve even more and THEN there's the don't go blind thing. It's the odds of that actually happening that baffle me.
I just looked at the naming theme of the Sharigan's powers.
Izanami's going to be like Izanami, but on steroids when we get to it. Trust me.

You're halfway through Part 4, right?
When you get to the end of Part 6, tell me.
I can't find any good scans of part 4  .

Which is why I've never read it. Hell, I'm only not clued in about the Stand Arrows, but Part 5 spells it out (And by Polnaref!).

Yeah, I do believe that a lot are reasonable, but the bullshit ones are overused and the reasonable ones become overpowered due to the circumstances. Practically all Sasuke's done since he was diagnosed with MS was burn everything with Amaterasu and smack people with Susanoo. And Izanagi again is blown out of proportion when the one person who uses it has an entire armful of eyeballs to use. Also, highly impractical in either case. Then the infinite just tips the scale. Less tip than, say, drop a mountain on one end.
this recent chapter was interesting. I lol'd at killer B thinking up rap lyrics.

that does suck maybe after SBR is done there will be someone to go back and re-do the scans for Parts 3,4 and 5 (which i'm currently reading)

Isn't Steel Ball Run reaching the end? (Funny Valentine's Stand has gotten a chapter title, and that's always a sign of a part being wrapped up)
If only there was a decent scan. I want to see Joseph's last hurrah.

If a Naruto movie EVER happens… the faint sliver of hope I have is that Terry Crews will play Killer Bee or Raikage.
I don't even care if they fuck it all up... just have the man in there.

@Cyan: I am only 10 chapters into Part 4: but I'm going at the same speed as when I was catching up with One Piece, except in this case I'm deliberately reading manga inbetween jojo to make the transition easier.
When I was reading OP back in the day I was ONLY reading that and Naruto so I was exclusively catching up with OP (was waiting for Naruto each week). In short: I'm getting through quite fast even with all this uni work heh.
@Cyan: Jojo is worth the crap scans. I'm gonna be buying all the tankobon anyway when I get to Japan so it isn't much of an issue for me. Tbh you can just wiki to find out the summary if you are interested in a specific Part of the series.
@Wagomu: Although it is cheap hax jutsu we can look at it another way: when Naruto eventually defeats Sasuke, (assumng Kishi doesn't do the stupid thing and have them kill each other) it will be a victory that came about hard work, as opposed to being a genius, thus we come full circle back to hard work vs genius as seen with Naruto and once upon a time Lee.
Well stated Wagomu. As FLG said, most of the powers look reasonable, although the Sharingan is still grossly overpowered and overutilized, but the one that bothers the most is Susanoo. I mean, the rest at least sound like they could come from an eye, but how in the hell does an eye conjure up a, as you so eloquently put it, "giant chakra spirit that wrecks shit"?
@Cyan:

The amount of win contained in this post alone… could cure AIDS.
And Cancer.
Also feed the hungry for eternity and provide a decent free health service. Free doesn't necesarily mean good quality though: points to the British NHS

Have you ever tried acid?
Drugs should be kept with some mangaka and away from others. If Oda had drugs well drugs couldn't surpass his imagination. Kishimoto and Kubo would create special effects which although impressive on the eye didn't have much logic. Oda would create special effects just as good but have an Oda rationality to them.
sooooooo…... is someone gonna dig hidan out or what?
I bloody hope not because we can see what will happen then. Jiraiya then Asuma then…. By that point we can pretend Naruto is being written by a bad fanfic writer who has took over from Kishimoto for a couple of months. Very much how Dragnball GT which was considered as nothing more by Toriyama himself (though much more harshly critiqed by fans) as nothing more than a little alternative sidestory. I.E. non-canon. :p
sooooooo…... is someone gonna dig hidan out or what?
No; he's the black sheep of Akatsuki.

It was rare. We have seenlike 5-6 people in the entire Clan history unlock the MS.
Which only makes the cheapness of the MS clearer.

Yea, but thats the reason Danzo collects the eyes. He wanted to find a way so his eye doesn't get closed.

Once again guys. Sasuke trains just like the rest of them. Kishi only really did the training thing with Lee because he didn't know any jutsus, but yet he was still powerful. Naruto and Sasuke have both trained and when Sasuke losses it won't be because of lack of training. Naruto fights are normally won by tricks or fakeouts anyways.

Yea, but thats the reason Danzo collects the eyes. He wanted to find a way so his eye doesn't get closed.
At least it's still limited to the number of eyes he has, but it really just adds to the notion that Sharingans grow on trees in the Naruto-verse.
@Friend:
Which only makes the cheapness of the MS clearer.
Some people in the clan never even gain a Sharingan. Sasuke has evolved his sharingan until he got his 3 tomo. He then got MS. It just shows only the most powerful people from his clan get these to this level. I am sure everyone in Neji clan won't get some moves he unlocks because they are just not good enough.
