It was colored purple not red. And it was in shadow. At that point it might even be intentional to keep it visible, since blue in shadow goes black. Coloring does that sometimes.
I have no problem with you complaining about the show. We all do it, that's your right, and in a lot of respects it does suck. I'm not saying there aren't production flaws, because quite obviously, there are.
I am just stating that some of the issues being pointed out are non-things, and are clearly the result of the production being rushed… not a lack of caring from the animators. ANd that those mistakes are being fixed! If you don't like it, wait three months for the higher quality dvd version... and pick your battles on what bothers you. Picking on something like "the bow is too big" or "She's missing two eyelashes" is a weird thing to go for when there's pacing, voice acting, music, lack of characterization, transformations, and overall direction issues.
Where I take issue, and I thought I was very clear on this, was you explicitly saying "I could do it better." Followed right after by "I couldn't do it better, but I will make the same complaints anyway even after the obvious real problem has already been pointed out."
As a professional artist myself I find that a little personally insulting, and I'm trying to explain why it's insulting, where the blame should really be laid and what the complaint should actually be.
I apologize if it comes off as an attack.
