I re-watched the ep in good quality. Really nice episode, it was very fun and I thought the pacing was really good.
The Final scene and Shiryuu scene were done extremely well. And the music choices were great, animation was good as well.

16 chars of perfect episode! I liked it so friggin' much
<3 cannot wait for next episode!
you know jimbei's new voice is pretty much how i imagined his voice to be. i'm pretty happy with his new VA.
@Gorgeous:
Really? That's pretty cool. Guess it's always nice to know someone in the business who can hook you up with a nice role like that. :D Or maybe he's doing it for Mayumi Tanaka. Where did you hear this from?
Japanese wikipedia, lol. Among other sites.

Pretty good episode. Ganba-RAY Mugi-chan!
Luffy's screams give me goosebumps.
Oh, and next week's looks friggin' good judging by the preview. I think I'll really be enjoying it.
Did Dragon's nose always look like that?
Bah, really don't like the new Jimbei much.
@Geg:
New voices:
New Jimbei: Katsuhisa Houki
Shiryuu: Takayuki SugoDidn't see that new Jimbei coming. I love Sugo's voice though.
Holy shit, Shiryuu is J?!
"It's a man's duty to stop running like a little bitch when I'm trying to lop your head off!"
I was more surprised he was Jose of Yugioh 5Ds:<>
Awesome episode, much better than the last one. I really like Jimbei's new voice.
Yellow vest? Weird, I always thought it was gold. Oh well.
Edit: I also heard Jimbei's New Voice and it's okay by me. I laughed so hard at the diarrhea scene with Magallen! XD
Great episode!
Jimbei's new voice caught me by surprise, but I didn't recognise it as Moria at all.
Credit to the voice actor.
As for the shirt colour thing.
You just know that if they did a different colour to the manga people would complain and if they followed the manga colour people would also complain. Its a lose-lose situation.
Just like Inazuma.
Liked the episode, hopefuly this is a sign for good episodes to come in the future also.
Can some1 gimme a proper link for 441 preview. Thx.
Also now I remember, I loved that still shot of the Straw Hats facing off against Baroque Works. Straight out of that manga volume cover, awesome!

Here you are, buddy.
Dragon in the preview…....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I guess the pacing is alright because there was alot of information that needed to be told, can;t wait for the next episode, we finally see some action!
Great episode, my favourite one is ages. Really good pacing, it was interesting, emotional, nicely animated. Shame about the brown blood but oh well
WTH is that noose ?!
[hide][/hide]
But more importantly, WHO THE F*** IS THAT ?

That's Dragon or suppose to be Luffy's Father.
Not sure if they messed the animation up when doing his face or maybe that was his face when he was younger?
Holy shit, Shiryuu is J?!
"It's a man's duty to stop running like a little bitch when I'm trying to lop your head off!"
LOL thats exactly what I was surprised about.
I so need to watch the rest of the episode, after Shiryuu's scene I got distracted because I was too busy : D~~~~

Oh come on its not that different. He has a strongly emphasized nose in that manga panel as well.
i am definitely not psyched for the art in the next episode.
but this episode was good ^^ i enjoyed jimbei's new voice, although i am going to miss Daisuke.
Heh, heh. At first, I thought all you guys saying "GanbaRAY" were exaggerated. Guess not. Jinbei's new voice was pretty good, too. I would've never guessed that it was the same guy who does Moria if I hadn't already known.
@Super-Franky:
Heh, heh. I thought all you guys saying "GanbaRAY" were exaggerated.
That was probably the highlight of the episode.
GANBARAY, MUGI-CHAN!!
Did I hear a "Mugi-chwan" in there a few times?!
I know I did.
NAMI~SWAN!! MUGI~CHWAN!!
Can anyone actually explain why the ganbare was accented so heavily? Is it an okama thing? An emotion-based thing? Or just Kazuki Yao taking some awesomely strange creative liberties with the otherwise repetitive lines?
@CCC:

well it seemed okama-ish to me, bon clay began to accentuates most of his words since he appeared in ID.
Oh come on its not that different. He has a strongly emphasized nose in that manga panel as well.
His nose isn't a big deal yeah but i'm talking about his face, it's like he just smoked shyt oO
I didn't like this episode so much. Shiryuu stole the show though.
The preview looks rather strange…. The models look fat. Maybe it's the definition or something... Or maybe it's because Oda's art in the manga gets really sketchy and fast paced from this point.
good thing I got to watch it before it was taken down :getlost:
Can't wait for 441
ONE PIECE ワンピース #440 (D-CX) ※津波警報&L字テロ有.ts
this Fuji TV capped TS contains a big fu**ing advertising on the tsunami (>_<) , this the only TS available yet
I saw a D-SUT raw when the message is much smaller, short and without the map
if you know someone who could capping a proper TS on this tv channel (just TS, not raw already encoded) for fansubbing, and distribute as he wishes, that could be pretty nice, and please let me know
thx ;)
i'm guessing this weeks anime is going to be late in coming from a fma to one piece both i know where having that huge tsunami thing on screen. hopefully they re show them sometime, or one channel they are on did't have it.

Well, the raw I watched didn't have the huge tsunami-warning. Instead, it had some occasional text popping up on screen with a distracting "ping"-sound accompanying it. Annoying, but definitely better than having a map of Japan on-screen through the entire episode.
Most of the recent raws has the tsunami warning :/
I still can't believe Dragon's NOSE in that preview <_<
So does Ivankov have another speech quirk? I noticed he likes to end his sentences with "ble/buru". I never thought much about it when I first read the raws, but now that we can hear him, it's much more obvious.
Episode was okay over-all. Only good part being the bit with us finally gettin to see Shiryuu. Graet voice as well….just how i imagined it'd be .
@Super-Franky:

Yes, he does. And for the longest time I thot it was just one of those crazy accents Oda-sensei gives to his characters that are just untranslatable (like Mr. 3 constantly ending his sentences with "da ga ne"). But talking with a Japanese teacher of English who loves One Piece too he said that the "nantokanaburu" is probably a funny way of making everything into an "-able" word, like in English we would say "doable". They even put it into the translation I saw (I think it was Toei's), where I think Iva says something like "you can do itable!" I even mentioned this to Cnet once to see if he would change his manga translations but he never replied, hehe. But I knew it would be impossible to ignore once you heard him saying it out loud.
Is it just me or did anyone else notice the criminals that Iva-san mentions are the same ones that
! BB recruits

Ah…I see. Thanks! I was also meaning to ask about Mr. 3's speech quirk, too, but I forgot--Does "da ga ne" mean anything or is it just something he says?
[hide]I think Akainu might have one too, since in 575, he said "ondore" instead of "onore."[/hide]
@Super-Franky:

I just asked a Japanese friend and she said it doesn't mean anything, haha, just for the sound of it. Tho it's probably some sort of dialect, since Oda-sensei borrows from alot of them or just completely makes them up. So it has the feel of just being for emphasis, so maybe something like "samui da ga ne" would be like "it's cold isn't it" or something. But probably more namatteru, more colloquial, like "ain't it" or "innit" or something, haha.
[hide]And I remember Akainu kinda talking like an old person but I don't distinctly remember him having a catch phrase, if you will, tho "ondore" definitely sounds unusual…[/hide]
HeeHAW! ohwai-:ninja:

[hide] According to Japanese Wikipedia, Akainu speaks in Hiroshima dialect [/hide]
Ending was great.
Kind of shame though that, so far, the so-so parts of the manga turned out to be the best animated ones. While great parts suffer the opposite.
