tsuna will lose, but will figure out something during the chapter and it will leave us on a cliffhanger " what will tsuna do!? or " What idea has tsuna come up with?!" Or even, "What idea has (any other character) Come up with?!"
Katekyo Hitman REBORN! Discussion

Just caught up with the manga and i think that the introduction of the boxes was a good thing for khr.I understand that it would have been confusing for people who only read the manga when the topic of colours kept comming up.
On the topic of the chapter i think that tsuna wont be able to absorb all the flames and end up freezing the rest.
-
how abut tsuna completley absorbs ghost whole but now ghost is inside of him…...:getlost: you know what i mean.... and posses him and we have a everyone vs tsuna for a while

That would be very entertaining

No, Do tell .
-
I'm late but I loved episode 167. Great pacing but they should've waited for this episode to show the latest ending. The "suit-up" scene had less impact because of it.
I really hope they pull a Davy Fight Back and extend the Choice Game to several matches not just the one in the manga. All that build up was wasted on one game.

I'm all for it. Any excuse for another Tsuna vs Xanxus fight.
-
! Looks like Byakuran now has all the flames Ghost absorbed in the last chapter.

one word YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i knew it i love when i'm right.
-
well that chapter was rather entertaining and it's good to see byakuran take a kick to the face and a knee to the face.

yeah but then he completely kicked the shit out of tsuna
-
yeah but then he completely kicked the shit out of tsuna
kicked the shit?
no
he finger banged tsuna….litterally (and not sexually)
-
Byakuran looked really wierd at the end but other than that it was a alright chapter.
-
now hopefully we see tsunas attack mode
-
Tsuna should just hold byakuran down and simply X-BURN in the face.
-
I started watching the anime of this. I'm only at episode 10 so I didn't want to read any of this thread and be spoiled.
I just wanted to know if the anime follows the manga well or is completely different? O.o

It does, for the most part. There's some filler, though. Particularly an arc where we get to actually meet all the other Arcobaleno (which was supposed to be canon, but there wasn't time for Amano to write it in).

I'm not best to answer, but I'll say what I know which are minor. They toned down some of the more violent things at the beginning… two I can think of right now are the bullets to the head, and the way Lambo uses his bazooka. From what I remember, Lambo points the bazooka at his own head, not jump in with a string on the trigger.
Yup, coming from the person who read bits of the manga but watched the anime at the beginning, then watched bits of the anime but read the manga somewhere along the way.

Yeah, there are minor edits. Also, Reborn has a real handgun in the Manga; in the Anime, Leon actually shapeshifts into the gun.
-
Thank you both for the answers.
So far I like Gokudera and Haru the most but it's only early so maybe that can change.
I want to see other characters get in the bazooka. Like the already older people but I doubt it will happen. =]
-
@Firefist: Lets face it. Squalo is Bon Clay, just bloodier.
Anywho, right now, I'm expecting the story to take one of two turns:
- The battle ends next chapter, bringing the LONG DRAWN OUT battle arc to a quick sloppy end
- Tsuna's attack fails and the battle continues for another 600000 chapters.
While a median would be nice, I'm not hopeful atm :C
I KNEW IT!!!!!!!!!!!
kinda lol

Without spoiling too much, I'll say this: Don't count your chickens before they've hatched.

sigh Byakran is currently suffering from what I call "Aizen Syndrome." Meaning he is too brokenly powerful to be particularly interesting.
Oh well, at least here I know the chapters won't be dragged out for ages on end and can expect a resolution to the fight within 10 chapters, hopefully.

Well if it's any merit, at least all that power makes some sense rather than him being ridiculously strong out of nowhere.

This chapter also disappointed me because I think a lot of people were waiting to see Tsuna use his Vongola Box's attack form, and while it got a nice page for the attack, Byakuran killed it like it was an annoying mosquito flying at him. clap! awesome attack we'd wanted to see is now dead. If anyone but uberhaxx Byakuran had had that dragon box weapon, I'd've thought that'd be cool. But instead it was just one more thing to make Byakuran ridiculously overpowered. Like, Zakuro should have had a dragon transformation instead of starting the terrible dino theme (and a bit offtopic, Kikyo should've kept the plant thing like he used in Choice with a carnivorous plant transformation or something) and Byakuran could just have his normal ridiculous power. In the end, the only thing I liked about the chapter was that Tsuna again showed that the Zero Point Breakthroughs aren't forgotten.
-
I've followed this series for a while now and for the life of me I can't remember if there was a reason they couldn't use this but I wonder if the Dying Will Bullet is gonna make a return as a way for Tsuna to defeat Byakuran. Hey it makes more sense then anything else I could think up heh.
-
Seriously? I made a joke about the only possible upgrade attack-wise for Tsuna being the I-Gloves, and it turns out to be true? And Byakuran has a dragon… jeez, every other Shonen I tend to be wrong about these random guesses, and this series I do it as a joke and get them right....
Since I seem to be on a roll here, with all this talk about Paralell Byakurans, my next prediction is that Uni uses her power and pulls a Paralell Tsuna in from another reality and combined, the two defeat Byakuran.
Fuck, just watch. It'll be right.
-
For some reason, I feel an ode to spirit bomb coming on.
OR, if not that, everyone will help Tsuna fight Byakuran. somehow.
and if THAT'S not what happens, then Dues ex machina is coming. Believe it.

Paralell Tsuna is the Deus Ex Machina. It's going to happen.
-
the hell is up with mangaka's and over powerful villians? for fuck sake it's as if they just want the good guys to lose.
-
If I remember correctly, aren't all the parallel Tsunas dead?
-
Maybe he gets a Spirit Bomb-style power-up from all the parallel versions of his family, just to show that no matter what happens to him, he will always be a good friend and leader? It combines the two ideas, anyways.
-
Or he might get the power of the present Tsuna(somehow) or else I dont know how its possible to beat him.
-
i thought the present tsuna was dead. the past tsuna DID wake up in a coffin after all.
-
oh. um. never mind
-
As much as the "Tsuna will be the one to defeat you" line was something I knew would be coming and as much as it is kinda frustrating, this chapter did one amazingly cool thing: brought back the Arcabaleno. I really hope Amano doesn't troll us worse than Kubo by having Tsuna defeat Byakuran within the hour the Arcabaleno will take to revive. I'm sure it won't happen, but the thought crossed my mind for a second.
Bottom line: cool chapter, probably the best one since Ghost appeared on scene. Makes up for Tsuna's cool new move being clapped into epic fail last chapter. -
I really wish that Amano would stop introducing new properties for the Dying Will Flames out of nowhere, or at least have some build-up before she introduces them. How hard is it to establish what something can do and stick with it?
Also, Byakuran fell into the Palpatine mistake: taunting your foes with the exact thing that inspires them to defeat you when you have them on the ropes.

-
That was unexpected, but not a bad turn of events.Stalling Byakuran should be easier than beating him.

I agree with this. But at least it's not a terribly hard to fan-explain asspull, unlike some other series… "Who says the Espada go 1-10?" comes to mind... I will say it does contribute to the series being mediocre at best these days.

And idk if Tsuna and Byakuran's fight will last an hour or not. Sometimes manga take something that's stated to happen in like 3 minutes and cover it over enough pages that it takes 10 minutes to read, whereas sometimes a manga will cover hours or even days within just a few pages. Until the Arcabaleno revive it will be hard to tell how much time Tsuna vs Byakuran has gone on for.

you make a valid point there didn't really think of that
-
I for one am not looking forward to their revival.
Amano has introduced way too many concepts, powers, weapons, rules, characters, etc imo.
-
These characters have already been fleshed out between the manga and the special anime filler. I'm looking extremely forward to this. It'll be nice to actually see Verde and Fon doing something in the Manga. Fon's Red Lotus Kempo is awesome, And Verde is the master Scientist. Surely he's thought of a way to deal with this situation.
And, being the "Rogue" Arcobaleno, Verde may end up becoming the next villain. If that happens, we can have a true Arcobaleno arc, which would explain why Luce died and wrap up this series rather nicely.
-
all I liked out this chapter is the possibility of seeing the arcobaleno's and did byakuran snap tsuna's neck?
-
agreed. bring back fon! X3
-
agreed. bring back fon! X3
Yeah, next to Reborn, Fon's my favorite Arcobaleno, even though we know very little about him other than him being I-Pin's master and being a Martial Arts Master. He's also the only one that doesn't treat Skull like crap. I also like Verde, too. Mad Scientists are always neat.
-
i thought Verde was a tad egotistical. but i do like the mad scientist angle XD i gotta say though, even though that whole Arcobaleno trials thing was filler im glad they added it in there because it introduced them all =)
-

you know what annoyed me they pointed out that fon and hibari look unreasonable like each other in the arcobaleno arc (anime only) but never give us a reason why they just leave it like that
my guess Fons hibari's dad
-
I never watched that filler arc so I have no idea what you people are talking about.
