I also checked the ones for the following months & it seems Amazon UK will be releasing the rest the same time as the American release.
How do you know Amazon are shipping them next week, my order says estimated shipping is in February. Although I did order when they used the UK date (Feb). Although I'm sure they will ship them next week anyway.
Well I assume Bakuman will only be in 3 issues because the first volume comes out in August.
Toriko goes from February to April with volume 1 in June
Bakuman from May to pressumably July with volume 1 in August
Given that the timing is exactly the same and that both Bakuman and Toriko were liscensed by Viz at the same time, it's a pretty logical conclusion.

Well, Oda added the English version at the end of the volume because he had just gotten the information that it was coming out here and even going into an English version of Shounen Jump. Of course, there were revisions made since then. Though, I don't like the sudden revelation that the sound effects used to be smaller instead of the gaudy large font we have now. VIZ is a little better at that now though.
Speaking of sound effects, I had to chuckle at the sight of Enel NOMNOM-ing away on his banana.
Kinda odd that when Mihawk showed up in Vol. 25 he didn't get his custom cross-lettering sound effect, since Viz had used it earlier in Vol. 6…

I truly didn't expect them either!!! I found them at my local Barnes & Noble on a cardboard One Piece exclusive shelf. All five, including the new omnibus (which I'm not interested in by the way). I was actually gonna see Avatar that day, and when the movie let out I high-tailed it to B & N. Oh, the only fault I take issue with is that GUESS WHAT: Gan Fall now is called Ganfor. Hehehehehe. I laughed when I read it.
I don't see why so many people have such a problem with Ganfor. His name IS originally spelled ガン・フォール, or Gan Fōru. So it's not wrong, per se, it's just a different way to translate it.

I think of myself as a driving force because I've been sending Viz and Shonen Jump letters upon letters regarding the problem of how slow One Piece is moving for English audiences and how much of a shame it is that if it continues at this pace many people would be missing out on it. I told them how a series like this needs the respect that it deserves…I've been pressing them for years in the hopes that they would budge. Also SJ published one of my many letters to them in their magazine about the speed-up around the time that it was announced so it was good to know that they were listening to me.

Yeah I was sure to bring up the Naruto speed-up point in most of my arguments. I remember when I used to look at the Naruto wiki and see all of the speed-up volumes it had and just getting depressed and saying to myself how unfair it was…You could imagine how happy I am that One Piece has an even BIGGER acceleration.
There was one point in my life where my soul intake of One Piece-goodness was the Viz manga and I wanted to read-on so bad but refused to watch subs or read scans. So for years of my life I settled with the small quantity of English manga...When I was on Alabasta I remember my friends on Thriller Bark and me just wanting to read on...It was only during the beginning of 09 when I started to watch subs and read scans...I cracked...But I'm still just as happy about the speed-up as I would have been if I continued with only the Viz manga.

I did find it interesting when I read somewhere about the manga speed up 'you've asked and we listened'. I thought to myself "wow…looks like people WANT this to happen as much as I DO!!!" By the way, love that profile pic mikey

Are there any out of the 5 new volumes that have girth relatable to that of 18 and 23? I love meaty volumes.
Volume 25 is pretty thick… but I did notice that volume 28 is pretty thin as well...

24 is probably thickest, because of the sticker and popularity thing…
The reason 18 and 23 were "meaty" (lol) is because they had a whopping eleven chapters...volume 29 will as well.

I know I know! I pre-ordered them from B&N.com and they should be here tomorrow! If I would have know that the store itself would get them earlier than if I ordered them I would have never ordered em!

Geez, this entire page has been people with Luffy avatars . I wish Oda would romanize all the names he uses. He did it for the Supernovas so that probably saved a lot of time. People would be saying that Law's name is Row and stuff along those lines. Someone needs to write in a question to Oda about the romanization of Enel.

check amazon they have all the covers up to 54 i believe.
since i'm going to barnes & noble tomorrow to pick up the latest HXH volume a FMA volume and a OP volume what OP volume out of the first skypiea speed-ups do you recommend me getting? What is the most entertaining action packed read out of the 5 volumes that just came out? I've already seen the arc animated so don't say start from the beginning if latter volume is better.

While I'm sure demand had something to do with it, I believe the main reason VIZ is doing the speed-up now is to tie into the simulcast FUNimation is doing.

Yeah, because I just picked up the new SJ (Oh Come My Way… at least the Anime actually used this at one point, but in the manga it's just...) and I noticed, the Simulcast is lined up perfectly with the chapters appearing in SJ right now, it's neat.

Oh, one other art edit I forgot to mention. On Chapter 258 for Wapol's coverstory, they edited Baku Baku Factory into Munch Munch Factory on the sign for Wapol's factory. Not a huge deal I guess, but it's an edit.
