On the subject of yuri: I can't say that I'm a fan of yuri, because it just isn't my thing, but I definitely don't hate it like a lot of guys hate yaoi. I just don't like think about enough to love or hate it.

BUT IF I WAS A YURI FAN then sldkfjdkf Robin/Nami would totally be my otp. Like seriously. If that became canon I would lolololol so much and then go awwwww~~

hmmm dunno if this is the proper place for this but since it's technically coupley here goes. Once the new year rolls around im wanting to start again my OP/Beauty and the Beast fic. But in your guys opinions where does Usopp and Brook fit in? The other's are easy to imagine but im really struggling on these two.

Funny, I was reading the LuNa thread on 2ch the other day and they were VERY upset about Oda's interview in Non-no. I thought it was obvious that the movie was about nakamaship and not about making LuNa canon as some shippers would suggest. :blink:

Believe me, if I were still a LuNa fan, I'd be excited too. It only bothers me because some people like to overexaggerate stuff like this and saying "it must be love!" while ignoring that, had anyone else been kidnapped, Luffy would have done the same thing.

But yeah… I left the LuNa fandom a long time ago because of those kind of fans...

Those kinds of fans are what make me dislike LuNa so much. Any other pairing in OP is perfectly alright by me, except LuNa.

Haha, I think I'm more affected by the fans than what happens in canon. I stopped shipping LuNa, ZoSan and ZoLu because I didn't like some of the fans. I could care less about so-called "evidence". XD

Ha, that's why I like being impartial and a generally laid-back fan. No matter what happens, or what the crazy fans do or say, you can just tune them out and focus on the story. If something cute/heartwarming happens between any combination of characters, I'll acknowledge that (in fact, putting shipping completely aside, the end of Movie 10 sounds like something that'll leave a big smile on my face), but I'm not going to be joining in on these ''debates'' or anything. Unless it's integral to the plot, story and characters first, who's going to boink who last.

Though, my honest opinion on shipping and whatnot in this series and whatever drama that ensues is that Oda's dug himself into a bit of a hole with this, and every time he draws or writes material that begs for people to pounce on or denies the existence of such a thing completely he adds another foot to that hole.

I'm glad Oda's keeping romance out of this thing. I'd actually be upset if the vast majority of pairings ended up becoming canon in the end.

Same here. Especially with the Strawhat crew. I'll ship stuff like crazy but it'll be a little too weird to suddenly have romance in the series.

Luffy/Hancock comes to mind whenever I think Oda digging himself a hole. XD I've always thought it was a plot device to get Luffy into ID, but now he's got people thinking she'll be the next Chi-Chi.

Although I'm kind of skeptical about other pairings… It's not as if Luffy's actions are exclusive only to romantic pairings. Friends save other friends too... I don't think Oda purposely draws things for romantic purposes, rather, fans just see what they want to see and then Oda has to set the record straight and then fans are all "he's only denying it because he knows it's true!"

(I apologize if anything doesn't make sense... Typing from a phone makes it difficult to be coherent. :S)

But seriously, adding romance to the series will not only somewhat ruin One Piece, but it'll make the fandom go crazy with pairing debates than it already has. Just look at the Naruto fandom with the whole NarutoxSakura vs. SasukexSakura fans. O_o

But yeah.... one thing I love about OP is because there's no actuall pairing happen, well... except for obvious one like Roger-Rouge, and other chara's parents. And that way, fans can have their freedom at most!!
We can have so many pairing fanarts, and ficcies out there.

And to be honest, I've been enjoying these last pages pics.... Those are CUTE!!! :wub: (yeah... I'm a het pair fan. due to personal preferences, definetly not into yaoi or yuri.... well... nami robin art looks rather cute... but NO!! I like them as sisters ^^) But.... not much of Z/R lately eh?? ^^;

Oh, and .... I'm also a LuNa fan that hope to see (in my own delusional mind) hints of them in Movie 10. And I'm sure there're tons of 'em there :ninja:
