Edit: Just to give a little personal input, I majored in biology (actually there are no majors in Argentina, we call them "careers", but it's the closest equivalent), after three years I felt devoid of life and switched over full time to my other profession which is custom music/jingle writing and classical/opera singing. I'm not in favor of either. If you can live with science then it's all good it just didn't do it for me.

I don't really know but it's reasonable to assume that people complained (that's what usually forces the hands of the people with power). One of the forum rules is "don't bash other members" which is pretty easy to get him on. It doesn't matter much, anyway, since he'll be back soon enough.
